  2. As a fellow geographer, I too have used the term Research Triangle in reference to RDU area for a long time. Whether the locals like the connotation or use it themselves is irrelevant. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  4. I have not seen a definite CDMA 800 schedule. However, we know that some CDMA 800 sites are already live in Network Vision areas. But their deployment is much slower and appears less organized. I believe that Sprint is clearing enough iDEN channels to allow CDMA on Channel 476 as a part of this years iDEN thinning exercise. I do expect CDMA 800 deployment to pick up steam later this year. Nexus 7

I would think someone in their 60's would need something lightweight to hold. Since the Nexus 7 is noted as being ultra lightweight, then I presume a Nexus 10 would be one of the lightest, if not THE lightest 10 inch tablet on the market. I find the Kindle Fire I am using to be a little heavy for a 7 incher. I'm looking forward to the Nexus 7. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  8. All carriers are bad on the Strip unless you are indoors on DAS. I have used ATT, VZW and Sprint on the Strip. I've never tried Tmo, but I'd expect the same. It can be really bad up high in a casino tower. Too much noise for your device. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  10. Sprint has roaming deals with Verizon, Cricket, Alltel (what's left of it) and dozens of small carriers as well. Robert

  15. I'm waiting for it. I'm wondering if it is going to be like a commercial break wait, or should I go ahead and get the ribs ready for the smoker. Gotta prepare my dry rub. The secret ingredient is Chimayó Red. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  17. It really depends on how you define users. In this exercise, a User is someone assigned an IP address. If they are users consuming average streaming bandwidth, the number supported is far less and more in line with my numbers above. The numbers I listed came straight from Sprint FIT reports. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner EDIT: Your source says 200 users per cell, not sector. That's more in line with Sprint FIT reports which claim 180 per cell. So 200 per cell is 66 per sector.
  18. Speeds will not come down for some time. LTE speeds are more signal strength dependent than anything. A LTE site that is half capacity will still function at near full speed, so long as it has sufficient backhaul. And all Sprint LTE sites have enough backhaul to support several full carriers. So this will not be an issue for awhile. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
