  1. Although I think Sprint CSR's are quick to blame anything and everything on Network Vision, I guess it is plausible. Robert
  2. What kind of speeds/pings are you getting from the live Manhattan LTE sites? Are all the sites performing about the same? What kind of battery life are you getting on LTE? Robert
  3. The map in this article shows when physical upgrades at the sites are scheduled to begin. This includes the upgraded antennas/panels, cabling runs, base station cabinets, etc. This work has been confirmed as under way. However, as we have explained in our most recent Puerto Rico schedule article, LTE is still a few months out from deployment. The backhaul is not ready yet and neither is the new 4G core in Bayamon. LTE site work will not begin in PR/VI until the Fall. Robert
  4. If Sprint waits and blocks completed LTE sites until the market launch, then it could be as late as April 2013 until the completed sites are discoverable. However, I believe Sprint will allow connections earlier. Robert
  5. It may be. However, the network will likely get progressively worse up to NV deployment begins. With all these new LTE devices coming out, markets without LTE are getting even more congested on 3G as people leave WiMax and wait out LTE on 3G. I do not have not received any Charlotte market information that differs from what is in this article. Robert
  6. The entire Kansas market is being deployed now. However, in order to come live first with LTE, it must have the backhaul complete. The backhaul is being done in advance by several contractors all over the market. Sites that come live first are the ones that the backhaul vendor were able to get complete early and the site upgrades are done. Manhattan just happens to be lucky in that regard. Its not as if Sprint chose Manhattan over Topeka. Although I happen to like Manhattan better than Topeka, myself. Robert

  10. It's also possible your phone was reporting the 1x signal strength and not the 4G LTE signal strength. Are you using a custom ROM? Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
