  1. Every 3G site should receive LTE. But LTE is not as usable as far from a site as Sprint 3G. However, Sprint will also be deploying LTE on 800MHz in the not too distant future. That should make LTE have slightly better than the 3G coverage is now. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  2. Pretty solid. Thanks for sharing. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  3. No. Just the Chinese and Arabs. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  4. Most of our In Progress sites on the maps come from member reports. To report a site In Progress, go to this thread: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3369-report-in-progress-sites-here/ Thanks! Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  5. They design cells to overlap only slightly. If they overlap too much, it will cause interference problems. So places where sites have not been upgraded will have poor to no coverage. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  6. Philadelphia Metro market is 45% with NV upgrades. However, 13% is probably pretty accurate for LTE upgrades. Two different numbers. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  7. Doesn't nTelos own other telecommunication networks, like cable, landline and other wireless networks? The whole business would likely not be compatible with Sprint. Perhaps if they wanted to just spin off the wireless division. nTelos also offers AWS roaming. Sprint would probably sell off nTelos AWS spectrum. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  8. No, definitely not. Communities launch typically with 40% of sites being completed. Opening tickets about other sites not yet being completed (spotty coverage) is a waste of your time and Sprints. The other sites will be ready as soon as their ready. Good question. 9. I probably did. I should get it printed on T shirts. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  10. Had a member report to me that the sites in Torrington that came online the other day are purring data nicely. Glad to see other areas in the state starting to go LTE beyond Meriden and New Haven. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  11. Although it is common to have one sector here or one site there to have problems during deployment, it seems that the Miami market has more than its share. Wow. If they do not get corrected when each area launches, I suggest opening tickets. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  12. Definitely. And if they know how to read and decipher basic info, it would be glaringly obvious that not only is Network Vision is underway in the entire Ft. Wayne/South Bend market, bit most sites have received at least one upgrade. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  13. That's a great idea! We should hold an auction for having the right to Sponsor June 29th. "Brilliant!" Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  14. Thanks for the update. We will continue to pray. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  16. Sprint is doing remote power and backhaul disconnects for all the Nextel iDEN sites effective, June 30th or the first day after that the utility/ILEC can disconnect service. Kind of like when you call the power and ISP to disconnect your home service when you move. They are stopping the bleeding costs of the Nextel network immediately. No need to be on site to do that disconnect. In the coming weeks and months, they will actually go out to the site and decommission and deinstall. But the network will cease to operate nationwide on June 30th with all power and backhaul being shut down at sites and at switches. Bye bye, iDEN, bye bye. http://newsroom.sprint.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=2579&view_id=8028 Robert
  17. When we say 800, it can mean CDMA 800 and/or LTE 800. CDMA 800 has been being deployed for over 6 months. A dozen markets already have some CDMA 800 service live. It will be deployed even more widespread after iDEN shutdown. LTE 800 has only been deployed in FIT areas so far. But starting this summer LTE 800 will start deploying in earnest. LTE 800 cannot go live until after iDEN shuts down at the end of June. So it's closer than many realize. Sprint says they will start selling LTE 800 devices before the end of the 3rd quarter. So probably in September. CDMA 800 has been included in most Sprint devices the past two years. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  18. If your service has degraded in a particular area, call Sprint and open a ticket. I don't like whining. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  19. The legacy and Network Vision panels are almost always on the same rack. Sprint is the top rack and the bottom rack is another carrier. The large panel in the center of the rack is the new Network Vision panel, with its RRU's behind it. The outer panels at the corner are the legacy panels.
