Alcatel Lucent was always the Network Vision vendor for this market. And Winston Salem was always going to be one of the last markets to start. Ericsson has the Network Maintenance contract, not NV deployment contract in your area.
It is most likely there are 14 sites under way now, and then deployment will continue after them and the market will wrap up in the first quarter of 2014. If for some reason, it does end up happening like you say, it will be the only one of Sprint's 97 markets that went that way. There probably in some confusion in the communication chain.
Another thing that it could be, is that in general, AlcaLu tends to deploy 3G first for manymonths, then comes back and does the 4G LTE light ups. So this may be what they're referring to. However, in the Raleigh/Durham and Charlotte markets, AlcaLu bucked the trend and did 4G LTE first.
I guess we will know what's up soon on the NV Sites Complete maps over the Sponsor section. Every time Sprint accepts a site, S4GRU finds out and we update our Sponsor maps to show them.
