  1. I see some Sprint legacy equipment. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  2. You guys are just jealous. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  3. Sprint is deploying 800MHz voice now in about 2-3 dozen markets. Some of these have started noticing 800 voice going love, or will very shortly. 800MHz travels farther and penetrates much better. The remaining markets will start 800 voice deployment this summer. It will take another 6-9 months to complete 800 voice implementation nationwide, Starting this summer, Sprint will also start deploying LTE on 800MHz. LTE 800 will greatly improve Sprint LTE coverage. Especially in between cell site gaps and indoor coverage. It is estimated it will take a year to complete LTE 800 coverage. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta Did I miss something I thought Sprint wasn't going to start LTE 800 deployment until Q4. I know that's when we can expect to mobile phone devices supporting that band. But it does make sense for them to start from now. Sprint is beginning LTE 800 deployment now. Some will start coming live in the end of July/August timeframe. I'm told the first ones will be in the South Bend area. But the deployment plan is rapidly evolving. 4. What wood do you smoke your pork in? I use a charcoal smoker with mesquite lump and a combo of Jack Daniels and Tabasco white oak barrel chips. Best pulled pork ever! Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  5. I didn't even notice. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  6. Because you've changed your mind again. You agreed that Sprint was better to some people in some places, and that Verizon and AT&T are not always better. Now you've flopped again trying to say that AT&T and Verizon are better. They are not better to millions and millions of people. Do you suggest that all the people on what you deem inferior networks, like Sprint and T-Mobile, go to Verizon and AT&T because you think they're better? If Sprint and T-Mobile went out of business, you can forget about Verizon and AT&T being better. Because being inundated with all those extra consumers would tax their resources, and with no competition, their prices would skyrocket. You better be happy with all of who are delusionsal and choose Sprint or T-Mobile. Additionally, AT&T and VZW coverage are only better in places we don't go. I don't care that Sprint doesn't have excellent coverage in Great Falls, Montana or International Falls, Minnesota. When I go off network, roaming coverage is most excellent for my needs. People shop for coverage where they live and where they frequent. For 90% of Americans, T-Mobile and Sprint are viable alternatives. As far as network speed, Sprint Network Vision speeds meet the needs of 99% of their customers. And for the 1% that don't, no one is forcing them to stay. They are free to choose. Yes, Sprint's legacy network stinks. But no one can claim to have a perfect network. AT&T still has A LOT of EDGE coverage. Those speeds absolutely stink and they have lost a lot of customers because of it. Verizon LTE speeds are plummeting, in some places severely. Those customers are extremely pissed off. No one appreciates your narrow minded arguments and platitudes of AT&T and Verizon are best, and every one else sucks. It's moronic. The people at AT&T with poor EDGE speeds and VZW LTE slow downs wouldn't agree with you. And most Tmo and Sprint customers would not agree with you. Maybe, just maybe, people can decide for themselves their needs and what works best for them? Naw. Let's just declare AT&T and Verizon best and be done with it. Robert
  7. I love my Tmo $30 per month plan. I don't like to talk to people on the phone. 100 minutes suits me fine. Also, Tmo is a secondary phone for me. Actually, it's a tertiary phone. Robert
  8. That road goes up a steep grade. Probably had line of sight to the site on the south side of the airport from there. Doesn't surprise me at all. I would get the Santa Fe WiMax Protection Site in places along Hyde Park Road as you gain elevation. A full 4-5 miles away. Even though you could not get that Protection Site a mile away on the ground. Robert
  9. I see this issue.. my post was too big or something got cut off. There's more.... well to make it easier let's just say what's not 800SMR scanned now: Here are the only 4 800SMR SIDs that are not in the scans: 22429,Sprint Nextel,Boise ID; Brigham City UT; Jackson Hole WY; Salt Lake City UT; St. George UT 22433,Sprint Nextel,Pendleton OR; Sandpoint ID; Spokane WA 22449,Sprint Nextel,Charlotte Amalie VI; Ponce PR; San Juan PR 22450,Sprint Nextel,Charlotte WV; Lynchburg VA; Roanoke VA I first read that these were included. I was shocked to see Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands in there. Then I reread your post and see you say these are the only 4 NOT in the latest PRL to scan 800. Oops. 22449 and 22450 are no surprise to me. These are PR/VI with no 800 and nTelos land with no 800. However, the first two kind of surprise me. Parts of 22433 get 800 and all of 22429. This PRL makes me think that starting June 30th, all site acceptances are going to start including CDMA 800, whether 3G or LTE is accepted first. And they probably are going to go back and fire up CDMA 800 quickly on existing completed sites too. Come on June 30th! Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  10. I think Charlie is trying to intimidate SoftBank in giving up. This is all a rouse and a charade to scare Masayoshi Son off the playground. He's trying to give the message that Sprint and Clearwire aren't worth fighting for. Mr. Son is much smarter than Charlie, I think it will backfire. Charlie is just an obnoxious bully, and he's doubling down. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  12. I guess Samsung has to do this. However, I'm so done with the patent wars. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  13. Verizon does not give it's backhaul to other carriers. Sprint has to bring in their own. Verizon frequently uses microwave to their rural LTE sites. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta I was told that both Verizon and Sprint would be using AT&T fiber at this site. The tower is also located directly beside the AT&T switching building. Obviously, info could be wrong but it did come from an local AT&T emloyee.... Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4 Beta Sprint may or may not be using AT&T at that location. They are using dozens of backhaul vendors and only uses AT&T when they have to. Even if they are using AT&T, they were delayed in getting started in the market. They're only really getting started now. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  14. Erie is likely to be one of the last Sprint markets to get LTE. sprint is doing GMO upgrades in this market first. It will improve 3G considerably over time. But a date for LTE is not yet determined. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  15. where might one find said prl? would i need to pm digi for this? Yep. Robert via Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
