You can also add MMSC settings from the old APN, and if you're having a hard time finding T-Mobile LTE, put your phone in LTE Only mode, and then manually scan for networks. This way it'll list T-Mobile if available. If you don't connect right away, keep hammering that T-Mobile network and eventually you'll connect I'm staying in LTE mode. When I scan for available network and select T-Mobile, it says I'm already registered. I just keep trying. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Robert, all you need is proper APN settings. Use "fast.t-mobile.com" also APN type should be dual stack ipv4/ipv6. You should be good to go Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta It's not working for me still. Am I doing something wrong? I've just tried three separate sites with no success. Find LTE status for a specific tower?

Ok. So you mean that I wasn't ever connected to LTE(at that location), those are just default #'s? Those are not default numbers I've ever seen on any Samsung. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta -

My WCDMA speeds just skyrocketed over the standard APN that was assigned. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Nexus 4? LTE? I thought the Nexus 4 didnt support LTE on Tmobile. Edit:So it does have the radio for Tmobile LTE, but lacks an amplifier if im not mistaken. Im assuming your running a custom rom, as the newest update disables LTE. I have rejected all the updates so I could keep my LTE ability on my Nexus 4. It sees it just fine. It will not authenticate and give me access. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

I have gotten Tmo LTE signals from a dozen sites in ABQ today, but cannot authenticate ever. I don't know if they're blocking connections or if there is an issue with my Nexus 4. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

I went ahead and added the two sites manually to the NV Sites Complete Map. Sponsors, zoom in over East Aurora and you will see them. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/517-nv-sites-complete/ Robert

Don't know. My wife won't let me go, it's not on Sensorly yet and no one has shown up from El Paso saying they will go check it out since we posted it. We have a few El Paso/Cruces members, but none are very active. I'm headed to ABQ this afternoon. I'm going to be tower hunting while I'm there. Check out the Menual/2nd site. I think it's time to run the LTE Discovery App in full force around ABQ. It could be any day now for the first site. And we may be able to discover one in testing. Robert

OK, it's on the map now. You will likely have to refresh the page and then zoom back in. In the worst case scenario, you'll have to clear your cache. But it just appeared for me changing my zoom level over Omaha. Take some pictures and post some speedtest screenshots if you get an LTE signal. However, if you want to discuss the exact location details, do it in the Sponsor thread. Thanks, and enjoy your tower spotting! Robert

Find LTE status for a specific tower?
S4GRU replied to mbodner's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
My tower has had 3G, and 800mHz upgraded. I was looking in the engineering screen and it showed I was connected to LTE even though my phone wasn't showing 4G? Had a IP address and when I moved to different areas the signal changed. Was LTE blocked, or am I crazy? https://www.dropbox.com/s/nunavp904lcuocb/2013-05-30%2022.54.41.png I've had this occur when I've lost an LTE signal on a Samsung device. Your signal here was really weak, at the edge of service for that LTE cell. So you may have had an LTE connection and didn't notice the icon from moment before, and now it is in the process of dropping, or you've connected to LTE, but your device will not hand over the data connection to it because it keeps going in and out. The first sites in the Buffalo market were accepted today. Two sites in the East Aurora area. These are 3G only, for now. But Buffalo is now moving. Watch out now!!! These sites will be added to the NV SItes Complete Map in the next update. Robert
