  1. I'd follow you. But don't think I could handle the curse laden rants. I'm a good Christian boy. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  3. Typically with CDMA, they are referred to as "Band Class" whereas with LTE, they are commonly referred to as just "Band." For instance with SMR, it is CDMA "Band Class 10", whereas it is LTE "Band 26." Referencing them only this way will help people to know which actual band/technology you may be referring to and help eliminate confusion. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  4. I'm having no problems using the Next Unread Topic buttons. But then again, with Administrator access, sometimes things work differently for me.
  5. I've been on AT&T for 3 months and wish I could go back to Sprint. The biggest thing I miss is Google Voice integration. With how much I use a tablet at home and work, GV was fantastic. But I miss just about everything at Sprint. I have 3 of the 4 national carriers (no Sprint) and the grass is not always greener for sure. Tmo has just as many negatives as Sprint. It's just a matter of which negatives are the most troublesome for you. But every month in 2014, Sprint's negatives are going away slowly. By 2015, there will be little difference in the experience between Sprint, Verizon and AT&T except in coverage in markets where Sprint doesn't offer service (IBEZ probably withstanding). Sprint will offer a big value though over Verizon. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  6. Yes, that would be a more appropriate place. Just don't use #S4GRU or @S4GRU in them. That would be a violation. Our posting guidelines apply to social media too. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  10. That's funny. You may not have fallen for his antics, but while replying about not falling for his antics, you practically provide a commercial for his international roaming. He is smiling from ear to ear. Not picking on you. But I couldn't help but notice that. Heck, I'm falling for it by continuing to discuss it. I'm a chump too, I suppose. We are all just puppets to Legere's Narcissistic Machinations. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  12. This has nothing to do with what you pay for. The deployment is nowhere near done in Orlando. The speeds are because half the towers in the city have been upgraded. So 100,000 LTE users are being congested onto half the towers. As more go online, the signal strength will grow and number of users per sector will drop, creating a much better performing network. And that's just on 1900. And then it gets even better. Adding LTE 800 will essentially double the capacity. Not just capacity, but coverage. 800MHz propagates farther and stronger. Penetrating buildings better. So adding 800MHz allows for a lot more capacity to keep speeds up and provides much better coverage. It will allow indoor/outdoor coverage to be equal to ATT and VZW and better than Tmo in the Orlando area. This work has already started in your area. It will go much faster than the original deployment because it involves no permitting and just installs carrier cards. And it still gets even better. Sprint is adding Band 41 (TDD-LTE 2600). This allows speeds over 60Mbps. Sprint has already added some Band 41 sites in Orlando on old Clearwire WiMax sites. Sprint will convert the rest of the Orlando WiMax sites to handle Band 41 LTE by the end of 2014. Also, in 2Q 2014, Sprint will start adding Band 41 to all completed Sprint Network Vision sites. Sprint also says they will add some new Band 41 sites to add additional coverage. All this info exists around S4GRU. However, you don't appear to have taken any time to find it and just sit there in your corner to complain. The 2-5Mbps LTE speeds are just a temporary symptom in an area in the middle of deployment. And 2-5Mbps is a nice tie over while waiting. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  15. The Spark update also enables Band 25/41 for devices that it was not enabled on before. The HTC One Max did not work automatically on these additional bands until the Spark update was released, right around the time the device went on sale. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Don't give props to Legere. He's playing games, and hoping the Millennial generation will be impressed with his childish antics. It's all a psychological game. You're the pawn. To put it in terms you kids can understand, "You've been punked." Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  17. He's laughing. He just wants more press coverage. And if the headline is how Bully AT&T picked on him, it's even better. He hopes consumers will feel like AT&T bullies them too and they will see the connection to themselves and T-Mobile. As professionally immature as Legere is, I wouldn't be surprised if he actually made a marketing campaign to make all of us connect the dots. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Current Production Rate = January 2014 means that if the current rate of site acceptance continues, all the sites in the market should be complete with being converted to Network Vision by the end of January 2014. There is no way to forecast when every last site will get LTE backhaul, so forecasting a 100% completion date is not important. Also, there are still many Verizon and AT&T sites that are still not upgraded. So even they cannot claim 100% completion at every site. It doesn't matter that there is one site here or one site there that is not complete. So this is not even an important metric. What matters is 100% coverage. 100% coverage can be achieved without every site. But in a place like East Michigan, it will take many more sites since they will not have the benefit of LTE on 800. 19. Yes, in 90 days of an account in good standing you can request your phone be unlocked for international use. Currently Sprint does not unlock for domestic use at all. But has committed to do so sometime in the future. It is not known yet when that will start. No. The Sprint 5S does not support the band that T-Mobile just purchased. Also, the purchase is not even approved by the FCC. Approval is not expected until Mid 2014. T-Mobile said yesterday that they will not begin to offer Band 12 devices until the end of 2014. So there is a chance that even the next iPhone won't support T-Mobile's new 700 band. Given that Tmo will not even begin deployment in this band for almost another year, this is not imminent. Rolled out? Depends on your definition of rolled out. Samsung has already started deployment of Band 26 (LTE 800) in the SF Bay market. The East Bay is likely to be one of the first parts to be done, as these sites are ready. I doubt that every single site in all Contra Costa/Alameda counties will be done by the end of the year. But since 800 propagates way better than 1900, LTE 800 will probably have complete coverage in your area before summer.Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  22. I'll take some Sprint coverage for 10 years and then go back to ATT after that. Not a bad deal for consumers at all. It's better to have choice for a period of time than not at all. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  23. Did it bite them in the ass? They had a contract. It had a period of time. Sprint only had guaranteed access for that period of time. It received it. Contract fulfilled. After the agreement, the result is the same as before. No native coverage. Also, not all of their agreements have fallen apart. Only a couple. The big one of all was Alltel. But it was bought out.
