  1. Only the free version of Tapatalk has ads. I think it always did. There are no ads on my version. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. Yes, yes and yes. You're on fire. I do expect to they are pursuing other 700-A block licenses vigorously. But they will have to pay a lot for them. The next company knows they desperately need it. Tmo really has no choice but to pursue this vigorously. There is no guarantee of when 600MHz is coming up. It could take several more years. And the licensing scheme is likely to be very complex. And the places where providers will want 600 the most (urban areas) are more likely to have interfering channels and less likely to have broadcasters wiling to give them up. 600 is going to be a mess. No one should be counting on it as their sole lower frequency plan. Robert
  3. I appreciate your reasoning. However, the rules will be equally applied. No more ranting. As for the question, that is an acceptable post. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Some switches are shown on our maps. If the TOY that is assigned to them has GPS coords in the database, then it inadvertently shows on our maps. I know that the Orlando and Knoxville MSC's are shown on the NV Sites Complete Maps. And there are likely a few more. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  5. We will not use Bitcoin. It's also associated with some pretty shady organizations/criminals and more likely to get us investigated or on some watch list. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  6. The usable amount of 700 is not very grand pre interference resolution. Post interference resolution, it still is not an amazing amount. My gut tells me this is not enough to sway anyone at the FCC who was for it to now be against it. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  7. The interference must be dealt with to be used meaningfully. 3MHz placed as far away from Channel 51 as possible probably is not enough. It may be possible to shove a 1.4MHz carrier all the way to the right hand side and not interfere. But testing would probably have to be done to prove it. Over half of these new markets have interference problems. They need a comprehensive solution. Although, I think Tmo probably has a better plan that reducing the carrier widths to mitigate the problem. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Answers to both of these questions is no...so far. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  9. I just finally caught up with this thread since September. Two things: 1. CSFB problems never delay a LTE ready site from being accepted and turned on. It only delays the market being launched. A market launch does not involve turning on more sites. It just means the minimum amount of sites has been achieved and now they are willing to issue a Press Release to tell everyone. The reason why Sprint will not launch a market until CSFB is resolved, is they don't want Triband device owners to not be able to have LTE service after an announcement. 2. Although it seems to have gotten back on track the past few days, the negative posts and complaints in this thread were crossing the line. We do not host Sprint complaints. If this continues, we may have to close the thread or take disciplinary measures against members. Up to and including account termination. If you get banned for breaking the rules, you do not get a refund. Please do your part to make this a productive and enjoyable thread to read. There are dozens of places to complain about Sprint on the web, but there is only one S4GRU. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  11. Yes, the spectrum will be valued more after interference issues are mitigated. But I think Tmo paid a value that was post interference. Didn't the 12MHz nationwide B and C licenses go for roughly $4BN each at auction? Even if they have doubled in value, it seems Tmo has overpaid. It seems to me that $2BN for a limited area of 6MHz seems like it may be overpaying even if there were no interference issues. Add interference issues that exist, and it seems very steep. However, what is Tmo to do? It's the only low frequency spectrum out there they can get. It's not like Verizon is going to give it away. Especially to a competitor. And there may have been some bidding going on that drove up the price. I don't blame Tmo for doing this deal. It's pretty necessary. But I won't call it on the cheap, pre or post interference. 13. I'm not sure I agree that these licenses are cheap. When you consider what I recall nationwide licenses sold for, I would say they paid a premium for these licenses. But they do desperately need them. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  14. It's a 6x6 block. So Tmo could put a 5MHz LTE carrier on it. However, they will not be able to put voice on it (until VoLTE) and they do have some significant Channel 51 interference issues. This does help them, for sure. But it is limited in scope. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  15. Yep, it will cover about 2/3 of the Top 30 markets. It won't receive approval from the FCC until mid year at the earliest. Tmo says they will try to get handsets starting for sale and deployment beginning in these affected markets by the end of 2014, should the FCC approve timely. 17. I agree. Sprint needs to be a much better job communicating and educating. It's awful. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  18. 3G speeds will go up at each site when LTE backhaul is connected. For some reason they have to leave up 3G on legacy in your area. We are getting off topic and since thisnthread has run its cpourse, we are now closing the thread. Robert

  20. I feel everyone's pain. But for how late the West Kentucky market got started, its progress has been impressive. One of the fastest deployment rates of all the markets. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
