  1. It's so much better on AT&T 4G at my desk right now... It says 4G, but won't pull anything. YEEARGH!!! Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. Don't know what to tell you. But hundreds of our members are enjoying Band 41 after receiving the Spark update. Maybe you're not actually in coverage when you try? You can't trust Sprint coverage maps. Maybe there are CSFB problems in your area? Don't know. However, Band 41/Spark was enabled in the 4.4.3 update. It's even active on my AT&T activated Nexus 5 device now. Robert
  3. But Spark service is available on the N5. Robert
  4. The website is just not current. That's all. Robert
  5. Ahhh, that's a different issue. But still may be fixed with a ticket. That's a switch issue. And is part of the upgrades required at the switch end. I assumed you were having problems from 1900 to 1900 handoffs. Interfrequency handoffs are handled at the switch. It's already working well in some areas where the switch has been fully NV integrated handing off to 1900 on a GMO from and adjacent 800 site. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  6. Definitely. I'd pick the worst one and create a ticket. And keep hammering that location until it gets fixed. And then, when you confirm opening a ticket works, hammer all the other handoff locations you have in East Texas. In most instances, the problem is the new full build has their new antennas pointed too low and there is not sufficient RF overlap from the GMO and the full build. The reason being, is that the RF engineering on the full build was configured as if the GMO was a full build. If the GMO was a full build, the RF would overlap correctly. However, the GMO doesn't reach as far, and the adjacent full builds need to have down tilt adjusted enough to compensate. And in 75%+ of instances, remote downtilt adjustment is enough to fix the problem. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  7. In these instances, it most likely is a configuration issue on the new sites. They'll get that worked out. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Prepare to be bitter. GMO's were planned to be NV2.0 in the beginning. There were some rumors in early 2013 that they may move them to the end of NV1.0. But I haven't seen enough movement to think that's happening in a big way. There are things they can do to improve handoffs from GMO to full builds. It's not the equipment. They just need to be better optimized. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Yeah, if they are just using their maps to decide if you have coverage, I'm sure they'll make that conclusion. However, Sprint's LTE coverage maps are grossly overstative. You need to look at our Sponsor maps and see where the sites are that actually have LTE live on them. Sprint LTE coverage maps are just not reliable. Even outdoors. 10. I have had over 15Mbps upload on B41. If you find a site where the downloads are normal (over 30Mbps) but the upload is really low (like less than 5Mbps), then I think it points to site router/backhaul problem. Or possibly a problem with your device if it seems to happen everywhere you go. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Excluding GMO's, it's possible. However, there will likely be some stubborn sites where they have owner, permitting or a some other issue. I do think we will be able to say all markets will be substantially complete by then. Hawaii is the big wild card, though. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  12. Must be an incumbent SMR spectrum holder has not fully cleared out of the way, yet. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  13. I love the Tmo in Ohio part at the bottom of the page you linked. This was something AJ predicted about Tmo in Cincy for a long time. Glad to see someone else pick up on it. Robert
  14. I wasn't addressing this specific test. I was addressing JeffDTD's point that this is going to be a problem for Sprint throughout 2014. It will be a common theme, however, probably starting to get better than AT&T in many markets. And it looks like that is starting to happen as Milan pointed out above. Robert

  16. Since testing is done over a period of months or a year with most of these performance type stories, it will not be good for Sprint. So even if things are much better right now, we are going to hear about how they were last quarter or last year. Tmo was in a better position last year and will come off better in these analyses. The best Sprint can do at this point for 2014 is starting to get good press by the end of the year and maybe relegate AT&T to last place. AT&T is degrading at the moment and Sprint is improving. That should be their next goal when this all happens again in 3-4 months. Robert
  17. I wish I could get 5Mbps out of my AT&T Nexus 5 hotspot at work. I have to keep my VZW hotspot because of speed tests like these on AT&T. Taken just now... P.S. - I had to connect my AT&T N5 to my VZW hotspot just to upload this photo!!! Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

  21. I think Durango is a CenturyLink backhaul market. That's typically not good news. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  22. With this explanation, it sounds like your nearby tower is not CSFB compliant. Therefore, it shunts you back to 3G at your home, even if it can find LTE on other sites. That's why it works in LTE Only mode. This is a network/geography thing and not a device issue the best I can tell. I'm glad you've been able to find your device is working in other locations. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  23. I was going to say a diaper, but they both work about the same. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  24. I don't see anything in these articles that seems to pressure Unlimited. Sprint just recently reiterated the importance of Unlimited as a differentiator in the future. I'm not concerned based on this. Robert
