So I went to dl an app in the play store, while out and about.  Clicked install and asked for the permissions, and went to the DL part and it just sat there with the little blue progress bar doing its thing, but no progress is being made....  I think ok thats weird try again, same thing....hummmm

Power off and restart, try again...nothing, so I think maybe its this particular app....try a different one nothing.....hummm   Ok so i do a speed test....on band 41 if it matters... anyway doing its thing, half way through kicks out network issues   :hmm:  :hmm:  :hmm:  :hmm:   ok so i go in and disable band 41....kicks to 26, try it again        shortly there after it cycles back to 25 (26 had a reading of 84)

So then I think its the tower, so i click install and put it away...drive around and head home....forget to check it....get home turn on my wifi.....     it works....

i am getting FB notifications, and other things work....what seems to be the deal here???

I'm having the same thing... The only thing that has let me install my apps is clearing the data for Google Play, restarting and then quickly do it.

I have seen this happen. Go into the app settings and clear all data in the google play store, download manager and then restart. See if that helps

ok we will try this... what about the band 41 issue cutting in and out

I don't know if it related. But here in the eastern Iowa market (where we don't have spark) is seeing eerily similar issues. Since February 12th, the network connection will just stop working. I would be surfing and then all of a sudden web pages wouldnt load. I would do a speed test and it wouldn't run. So I toggled airplane mode on and off and then data would work again (around 5mbps). Then about 2 mins later it would stop working again. Another temp solution is doing ##update to get it working again, but again that is only temporary.

We are also experiencing dramatic speed swings from 5mbps down to .2 in the same location taken within a minute of each other.

If you google "google play download stalls" or hangs a lot of people have similar issues. Ive always had issues intermittently.

Yeah, I've always had a lag issue with Play updates even on my fancy home wifi.

    • Your referring to the $25.00 a month Infinite Unlimited plan?  I don't see any other plans on there even cheaper than that on their website.  I was looking at the Motorola 2023 Edge fwiw as well for $10.00 a month.
    • A heavy n41 overlay as an acquisition condition would be a win for customers, and eventually a win for T-Mobile as that might be enough to preclude VZW/AT&T adding C-Band for FWA due to spreading the market too thinly (which means T-Mobile would just have local WISPs/wireline ISPs as competition). USCC spacing (which is likely for contiguous 700 MHz LTE coverage in rural areas) isn't going to be enough for contiguous n41 anyway, and I doubt they'll densify enough to get there.
    • Boost Infinite with a rainbow SIM (you can get it SIM-only) is the cheapest way, at $25/mo, to my knowledge; the cheaper Boost Mobile plans don't run on Dish native. Check Phonescoop for n70 support on a given phone; the Moto G 5G from last year may be the cheapest unlocked phone with n70 though data speeds aren't as good as something with an X70 or better modem.
    • Continuing the USCC discussion, if T-Mobile does a full equipment swap at all of USCC's sites, which they probably will for vendor consistency, and if they include 2.5 on all of those sites, which they probably will as they definitely have economies of scale on the base stations, that'll represent a massive capacity increase in those areas over what USCC had, and maybe a coverage increase since n71 will get deployed everywhere and B71 will get deployed any time T-Mobile has at least 25x25, and maybe where they have 20x20. Assuming this deal goes through (I'm betting it does), I figure I'll see contiguous coverage in the area of southern IL where I was attempting to roam on USCC the last time I was there, though it might be late next year before that switchover happens.
    • Forgot to post this, but a few weeks ago I got to visit these small cells myself! They're spread around Grant park and the surrounding areas, but unfortunately none of the mmwave cells made it outside of the parks along the lake into the rest of downtown. I did spot some n41 small cells around downtown, but they seemed to be older deployments limited to 100mhz and performed poorly.
