Airave 2.5 mobile blinking red

Recommended Posts

Hi,

So the airave 2.5 has been working flawlessly for almost 2 years. All of a sudden the Red mobile light blinks and the phones don't connect. All others are green.

Anyone ever see this? Once 800mhz is active in the area it won't be needed but until then...

I'm wondering if sprint disconnected it as they're finishing network vision?

They don't disconnect it. Have you tried resetting the airave. There should be a pin hole to push in.

This would be your best bet, the last time I had this light flashing was with the Network and it happened to be a Sprint outage. I would also put the Airave behind your DMZ on your network and reset the device. Not sure what the IP address would be, but you would have to find that out.

If that doesn't work, call the Airave Department.

Also if the reset does not work. Turn the airave off over night and turn it back on in the morning. That usually works when mine goes haywire

known issue with the gps system.  if it looses gps or it's not clear(or the gps unit fails) that will happen.  However if ONLY the mobile is blinking then most likely your airave has died.  IME they are goo for 1-2 years then they go poofies.  Call up the airave team for a replacement after they have you jump through some troubleshooting hoops to prove it's dead jim..:)
