This is great news.  I'm not a Sponsor member but it is awesome that there is finally some network development in the Lake Charles/Sulphur/Westlake area.

We now have 4 LTE accepted sites, but still not transmitting LTE. Hopefully this turns around soon...I don't like to be teased.  :P

What does "accepted" mean?  Does that mean there's LTE equipment installed but it's just not live yet?

From what little I know...yes. But I'm not sure exactly why it's not transmitting yet.

Correct. It should be fired up. But Ericsson has been messing up all the new sites lately in the past few weeks. Maybe it will be on in a few weeks when they get around to fixing them.

Yeah, I've been seeing y'alls post in regards to that. I was secretly hoping that wasn't the case out here. Lol

I think it is pretty well confirmed what is happening. Someone is moving to fast and not finishing the integration into the network. Which means there's another problem... How on earth are they drive testing them?

WOW!!!! The upload is 3x faster than my speed at home.

And that's almost the max you will see. The 5mhz of spectrum allows for about 37 megabit down.

Looking at the LTE signal numbers in the top left of the screen I can see it was taken very very close to the active site. LTE is very dependent on signal strength but usually even in the fringes that 2 or 3 megabit is better than the Evdo speeds.

We went on vacation to Baton Rouge back in May and my daughter was getting these crazy speeds on her S3.  I cannot wait til I get an LTE phone and it goes live everywhere in the Lake area.
