Hello. I'm searching for a Galaxy Note 2 on Sprint, and I came accross the ebay best buy mobile solusions website.... Has anyone had any experience with this before? The reason I ask is because they have the phone for eligible upgrade line for only $149.99.... way cheap.

According to best buy customer service, they are new phones unless otherwise specified.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like amazon wireless, only caveat is that if you have an older service plan/contract, you have to move to a new plan.

That looks like a great deal... and it appears that if you have any problems, you can just take it back to a Best Buy store to return or exchange.

On the phone itself, get it... best phone I have owned (iphone 3g, iphone 4, EVO, Nexus 4g, EVO LTE, Galaxy S3), and the first that I didn't want to immediately exchange for the next best thing.

DO IT!!

Agreed...but unfortunately Best Buy's price on the Note II is $299 right now. Amazon has it for $149. (upgrade prices)

As of today I am eligible for my upgrade, but I'm gonna have to hold off until Best Buy's price drops again so that I can get their protection plan.

Nevermind about BB protection plan. After some research it looks like they're also just gonna give you a refurb as a replacement, and from what some people were saying about it sounds like a total nightmare process.

Hmmmm...??...I don't think so scooter...I believe I'll take my chances.

I saw that as well. I'll definitely be taking advantage of that. But I was extremely disappointed about the replacement policy.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

I ended up getting the Note 2 for my wife yesterday from Sprint, and it is a great device!!!... Makes me feel bad when she gets 4G inside the house, and my EVO LTE doesn't..... oh well...

She's loving it!.

The RF characteristics of the Note2 especially on LTE amazes me day and day out... I have the EVO LTE and S3 to compare it to.

what? they have geek squad, they used to send it off. My screen has a crack, they let me keep it because it's usable still and they used to send it off. I should have my replacement phone 2morrow

Right...but as far as their replacement policy is concerned they're not gonna give you a new phone. At least that's what a lot of people were complaining about on their forums. I also read an article in regards to a class action suit against them discussing matters about store reps telling consumers that they'll get a new phone as a replacement, and that wasn't the case when it was all said and done. You'll have to go and read for yourself...I actually encourage it after what I read on there.

There were just too many red flags for me to consider getting it, and I would really hate to see anyone else get duped into throwing their hard eaned money away on a farse.

If you do find something to counter what I found, or if you could let me know how your experience went i would appreciated it.

They send you a refurbished phone( the exact name of your phone) The galaxy S3. It's fine, this one I'm about to get replaced is refurbished, I had no problems.

Well that's cool if the phone you're getting replaced was already a refurb (correct me if I misunderstood). But if you have a phone that you bought new and had issues with it and received a refurb after being told you'd get a new replacement...then I'd have a problem with that. Just sayin...

...and sorry to get so far off topic. Just wanted to share what I read. ;)

With the sprint plan I always got refurb phones. The plus with the best buy one in the paperwork I got says I just pay 9.99 a month and have no deductible. So I find it cheaper since I go through phones usually quickly due to my job...knocking on wood I haven't had a single problem with mh gs3 since I got it in November.

    • Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.
    • Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.
    • Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
