I have had a few AMOLED screens now and have never had an issue. However, my screens are never left on, and I run pretty varied activities. Some people though will force their screens to stay on while playing music, so they can glance over and see the music info without waking the screen...that would not be good with an AMOLED screen.

so i like to watch a lot of videos on my phone and browse the web and from what im reading online is it true that this wouldnt affect it much? I hear its mostly when the phone is on and left at the same spot for awhile but im never on my phone and just let it sit there for awhile with out anything happening on the screen. So with that being said do you think id have any issues with it?

Probably won't be an issue. Not to the point that you should be concerned.

well u can't be $100 gift card but its still $200. Now on black friday theres rumors and a picture that the GS3 will be $50 with contract for sprint

Yep, they that's when I am snagging mine. Not dealing with the yo yo's at best buy. Not giving that store another dime after the way I was treated last time.

Only thing that would stop me is if the note 2 was 199. 299 is a bit too steep for my blood.

Well i do like best buys buy back program. $30 gets you 50% back from full price of $700. That's from months 1-6. Its about $280 from 6-12 months from purchase date, kind of a cool thing if i want to buy a new phone. Money kind of tight right now for me so can't buy out of my contract or pay full price for a phone even after trade in.

I have burn in on my gnex, its only noticable when I am using the phone in low light or in a dark room and its pretty bad. My swiftkey keyboard is noticable as well as a portion of my lockscreen. I wouldn't say I am a heavy user being that I have my evo which I use a little more than my gnex.

I had burn in issues on my Kindle Fire, but that was right from the start. I think it was a defect in the screen. Other than that, I have never noticed any screen burn in on my E4GT, GNex, or GS3. The Gnex even had screen timeouts set to 5 minutes.

    • Tbh not that surprising. Every ISP seems to want to have an MVNO to pitch to their customers to make them stickier and maybe make some money in the process. And unlike USCC the MVNO should be able to cover TDS's entire wireline area, with infrastructure costs that are borne by someone else. Entertaining, yes. Surprising, not really...particularly when competing against Comcast or Spectrum, or even eventually T-Mobile fixed + mobile. This also strengthens my bet that they'll rebrand all their fixed wireless stuff as TDS, as that runs on spectrum they're keeping for now.
    • No? RCS on Google messages works great for me, messages between anyone with RCS enabled go through with no problems. Don't remember the last time I had an issue. I only have issues with people on iPhones on different carriers from T-Mobile.
    • Has anyone experienced a ridiculous amount of difficulty with Google messages with RCS enabled?  It has been a train wreck for me for the past year so I now use WhatsApp.  That works very well for all of us.... Android and iOS.
    • Probably not worth the fiddling given that that's a few percent of the band. Also, if they really wanted to push my assumption is there are still guard bands in play for the n41 carriers so they could fit two "100 MHz" carriers into 194 MHz anyway. Looks like minimum guard band is less than 1 MHz and a 100 MHz channel is only 273 30 KHz resource blocks, which is a bit over 80 MHz total, so if they really wanted to pull another 5% or so capacity out they could.
    • Saw that for a while. Now back to n25 + n71 + n41-100Mhz + n41-90Mhz.
