Wanting Note 2 32 gb, How long did it take for S3 32gb to show up?

I probably don't need 32gb and i'm sure I really can justify the cost but I want it. Any one know how long it took after the S3s started shipping until you you get a 32 gb model? As I understand it Samsung won't say when the 32's will ship. My guess is they are just trying to catch up on the 16's.

Last month I almost popped for a S3 but luckly the dealer I went said they were not stock and I would have to order a 32 and wait for it. About then I started reading about the Note 2's.

You can probably get a 64gb class 10 card for the same price you would pay just to get the extra built in 16gb of memory.

This is an extremely legit point, I paid $28 on amazon for my 32gb class 10, and it follows me from phone to phone so my crap is always there...

I ended up getting a 64 gb card via ebay for $61. It should be here about the time the phones show up in stores.

Very good question. Would love a 32GB Note but I probably can't wait for it to show up on Sprint if ever. Strange that when the press release for the S3 came out it mentioned availability of the 32GB model thru web sales but the release for the Note 2 doesn't mention a version.

I don't recall where but I read Samsung removed all mention of the 32 and 64GB versions from the US variants recently. The only place on their site that mentions different sizes is the micro-site that became available before launch.

One thing I've noticed is that even though you can buy a larger sd card, there won't be a option to move to sd. The option would be root but please correct me if I'm wrong.

That would actually be the only reason I would root at this point..surprising to say but im pretty content with the touchwiz skin. I know ivwill root once im bored though.

I want a couple things I don't think stock will give me but I am waiting to try rooting.

Titanium backup, and that add blocker. Then a few little tweaks here and there.

Maybe I don't need root for them. On the notification pull down I would like to have a way to put in a few shortcuts to apps.

I like having a flashlight app easy to find but out of the way for one. And I would like to get rid of stuff I don't want running,

There isn't too much bloat but it could be better.

    • Tbh not that surprising. Every ISP seems to want to have an MVNO to pitch to their customers to make them stickier and maybe make some money in the process. And unlike USCC the MVNO should be able to cover TDS's entire wireline area, with infrastructure costs that are borne by someone else. Entertaining, yes. Surprising, not really...particularly when competing against Comcast or Spectrum, or even eventually T-Mobile fixed + mobile. This also strengthens my bet that they'll rebrand all their fixed wireless stuff as TDS, as that runs on spectrum they're keeping for now.
    • No? RCS on Google messages works great for me, messages between anyone with RCS enabled go through with no problems. Don't remember the last time I had an issue. I only have issues with people on iPhones on different carriers from T-Mobile.
    • Has anyone experienced a ridiculous amount of difficulty with Google messages with RCS enabled?  It has been a train wreck for me for the past year so I now use WhatsApp.  That works very well for all of us.... Android and iOS.
    • Probably not worth the fiddling given that that's a few percent of the band. Also, if they really wanted to push my assumption is there are still guard bands in play for the n41 carriers so they could fit two "100 MHz" carriers into 194 MHz anyway. Looks like minimum guard band is less than 1 MHz and a 100 MHz channel is only 273 30 KHz resource blocks, which is a bit over 80 MHz total, so if they really wanted to pull another 5% or so capacity out they could.
    • Saw that for a while. Now back to n25 + n71 + n41-100Mhz + n41-90Mhz.
