  1. Amazon Wireless deal today 229.99 new lines / 279.99 existing http://wireless.amazon.com/Samsung-Note-II-Android-Titanium/dp/B00A0CIS5C/ref=sh_br_ph_3?tag=androidpolice-20&ie=UTF8&transaction=INDIVIDUAL_NEW&sr=2-3-entd&qid=1353397543294
  2. I know Sony did and I could have sworn Samsung or someone else did.. I read it a while back. Like I said "While not perfect some owners have struggled with a handset or two" for me " it is by far the best device I have ever owned". I stand by what I said regarding my experiences with it, I'm sorry if it isn't living up to your expectations though. On topic though I think we can all agree the One X 5 "DNA" is not the GNex5. I will say that I believe we can expect to see a five inch 1080p display on the next GNex.
  3. I'm pretty sure they're doing work in Boca, what I'm wondering is what caused it to seem like it was skipped over.. Last week I mapped from West Palmetto to Yamato & 95, headed North to Palm Beach Gardens, then went West. When I got a chance to review I noticed the sites I mapped from Boynton to Lake Worth.. I find it interesting something happened that they skipped over OR are behind in Boca & Delray considering we've watched coverage start South and work up to us. http://www.sensorly.com/map/4G/US/USA/Sprint/lte_310sprint Whatever the case, we're close!
  4. EVO 3D was ok, but I agree with the mistake mascaraing it as a flagship handset. Even though other manufacturers dove into the 3D gimmick the device was very flawed. The last great deive HTC released IMO is the EVO 4G LTE, it is by far the best device I have ever owned. While not perfect some owners have struggled with a handset or two, Sprint in partnership with HTC developed a great handset. While I will agree with the battery argument, HTC isn't alone in the lacking mAh department. They're already saying the screen offsets the lacking battery capacity.. but I agree with you 100%. I'll cross my fingers that Sprint puts their touch on the J variant like they did the One X (1800mAh vs our 2000mAh). +1
  5. Advertisements > Premium access Premium access goes against everything a forum is about and is why it rarely works. IMO if there was anything holding this community back (unlikely) it is the fact there is a premium tier. I can't speak from experience as I am not a premium member so I'll have to trust and take your words on it but.. A premium tier/private sub-forum model often leads to empty threads and decreased activity from premium members in public threads. If this is not the case then it often leads to overly necessary moderation and confusing forum rules. Often times the stresses of such a model aren't truly felt until traffics affords it BUT it is possible as this is currently a niche community it may never happen. I'd recommend a combination of tastefully placed advertisements and shameless plugs for donations. There is still room for a premium tier if the community demands such a thing and I could provide a great working example privately if necessary.
  6. I just noticed we don't have the ability to search a thread from inside the thread. I'm not sure if IPB has such functionality BUT I'm sure most other board software does.. Maybe there is a public mod/hack that provides it? I think it would be very helpful and minimize duplicate posts and boost efficiency for those seeking specific information. I apologize if I somehow overlooked the search input in thread if it does exist.
  7. So can someone with a N2 give me their personal opinion on the lack of SVDO and how it may or may not impact their daily use? While the handset supports SVLTE, LTE isn't here yet (soon'ish) I just can't get over going back in time due to the lack of support. How has it effected you? Have you even noticed? I'm a heavy user, it would actually negatively effect me that I could not receive data (email) during a call. The S pen doesn't excite me much but it would be nice novelty to have the option of precise inputs again (previous HTC Touch Pro owner). TIA for any input or advice you reply with.
  8. More towards carrier exclusive launch http://phandroid.com...oid-dna-leaked/.. Silly choice by HTC if you ask me. *Edit - More here: http://bgr.com/2012/11/02/verizon-htc-droid-dna-release-date-december/
  9. I don't recall where but I read Samsung removed all mention of the 32 and 64GB versions from the US variants recently. The only place on their site that mentions different sizes is the micro-site that became available before launch.
  10. That may sound like a long time but if that what's they're saying then expect 60-90 days before an official announcement. We've all seen activity down south but I've yet to see anything in West Plam down into Boca Raton. Well they sure do need it! I'm waiting on LTE in West Palm before I pull the trigger on a Note II.. No SVDO for 3G but it does support SVLTE. If we don't go live soon OR news breaks on the CDMA HTC J variant (currently Verizon exclusive DNA) then I'll just continue enjoying my E4GLTE.
