that is in southbury, at town dump. 231 Kettletown Rd.   This tower has pending verizon and att upgrades.   No permit for sprint tower its a gmo.  They have ran fiber at the bottom of the road. (fiber tech)   I have no clue why they would dig up all around the tower.

i spoke to a rep in technical support yesterday 5/8/2014 and according to him the hanover st tower is %70 complete....will take that info with a grain of salt as we all know sprint reps tend to bend the truth a bit or are mis informed...keeping fingers crossed :fingers::tu:

yes it is and i called again to confirm what i was told and it is being worked on but only %30 complete and the complete time is september..which im sure will be complete by then because they always give themselves more time than not enough...it is strange that its not on the map..my guess because its a ground up rebuild, since that tower went live in 2005. i also did some poking around on that website you posted banananuts and the tower on castle craig mountain did or is in the process of getting a 3G and LTE upgrade so once these 2 towers are complete meriden will be blanketed in LTE/network vision goodness.

So I went and brought my sister to upgrade her phone at the sprint store on south broad st in meriden and I noticed that when I looked at other phones they had the spark symbol and did a speed test so and got 55 down and 11 up so sprint spark is coming to meriden woot woot

You will hit the data cap fairly quick trying to use it as a primary isp

could be..either 800 or 2.5..i have heard some reports here in meriden that some have seen the spark symbol lit up but i havnt seen it for myself...but i can say this that i have had a couple voice calls with what has gotta be HD voice because the call quality sounded as if the person was standing next to you talking in your ear...call quality was  A M A Z I N G...

So they have been adding a second rru to each sector in my area.  Does this mean lte 800 soon?

Without pictures its hard to say. Since Southern Connecticut isn't in the IBEZ I would have assumed the 800 rrus where done at the initial installation. I would guess that it is 2.5 or possibly the are converting the site to a high capacity site with an additional 1900 rrus.

For premiere sponsors, go to the premiere section and check NV 2.0 permit thread. I posted a bunch scattered around CT. And its not an inclusive list, there will be more than I can find and posted.

If you find a 2.5 site, take some pictures if you can. If in doubt, grab a nice picture.

All those bars added to the side of the tower makes me feel safe!!  This is only non lte around me.  Including verizon and att they all had permits.  They finished strengthening the tower now its a waiting game.

Sprint doesn't have any permits just verizon and att to add lte.  But they had them since last year just finished this a month ago.   This is only non lte tower in the area.  But service of this tower is degrading rapidly.  Calls are choppy got to another tower and get hd voice.  How did you find out the upgrade date?  This is 3g complete

i called and asked to speak to technical support and then starting asking questions that were way to technical for who i was talking to and told em its not my device thats the problem because ive been through this 1000x and then asked to speak to a higher level of technical support...the rep then i spoke to had alot of info to my questions and when i asked about specific towers she was able to tell me alot...yes the calls are getting choppy, ive been getting alot of echoing when on calls at least %50 of the time and even in the wee hours of the morning data speeds are still extremely low. looking at september for a completion date and the normal 30 day optimization period. but i will post as soon as i get the text notification about the upgrades starting.

It's frustrating having to be at work relying on this tower. 1,300ms pings are common place, and I'm lucky to have a 0.25.Mbps data connection. Beyond frustrating.

I feel your pain..those speeds are usually normal and sometimes worse...i have been on sprint for 2 almost 3 years about it...but im gonna wait until the iphone 6 and note 4 launch and see what they are all about and by then the upgrades should be done and hopefully spark is on...if all fails then verizon bound i think i am after 11 years.
