The skies have parted.....oooooooo

All Hail....how you been? Wish i could be more active in this but its been such a depressing rollout. The whole of the state of Ohio is second to last place in NV rollout at like 50% followed by Colorados 44%. Just makes me very sad considering everywhere else is 80 to 95ish. I'm constantly amazed at the information you guys post tho, pretty cool.

Still trying to hang in there myself with all the issues in my market but that's for another thread.  Appreciate the info!

They're installing RRUs at the High Street location in Lancaster. Talked to one of the guys. He's putting up 4 panels today and said this site would be up and running in 3-4 days. But I've been told that before only to be disappointed. But both main sites in Lancaster are getting RRUs.

I also asked the guy why there would be 4 cabinets at the other Lancaster site and he said they must be putting more than 4 panels up.

The other 3 sites show they have Ethernet but are not scheduled for anything additional right now.

I hate to be a pest, but any particular reason as to the slow down in Ohio.  Permits, site locations, weather, contractors?  Just curious.  Not that it helps any, but it may ease the pain a little...

Hope things are going well with you!

I'm not certain. There are a lot of sites with equipment ready with no backhaul. They may be waiting for back haul to all towers in a cluster before they light it up. BTW Sunbury Cluster 1 migrated to NV last night. 5 towers with 3G voice.

I wonder which cluster that is referring to.  We have Sunbury the city mostly converted to LTE already?

Great to have you back in the forums!

Its basically everything just south that was still legacy. They call it Sunbury cluster 1 but a lot of it is in Westerville.

So I got that txt message as well. I'm taking it as this means the upgrades are pretty much finished, and what we have now is that we will have for a while.

Maybe this T-Mobile merger could make things better? The good news is that outside of Columbus things really are working pretty well!

Actually, Columbus is nowhere NEAR done!(its a fourth round market) take a quick look at the deployment running list and this will give you an idea..Sprint does not need T mobile in order to get better, it needs to complete the work at hand, and once that happens, it will be an exceptional network. But it will take time.

Here is the link to the deployment running list.

I was at the Meijer off 33 and Diley Rd in Pickerington and was able to connect to LTE. I'm surprised that A. I was able to hold a conversation at a Meijer store, which from past experiences has been unsuccessful. And B, I was able to have usable data. Attached is a speed test on lane 15 at the store.

Just got a text from Sprint:

SprintFreeMsg: Over the next month the new network will be largely completed in your area making it better than ever! http://sprint.us/network1 Reply S to stop

I received the same text a few months ago. I'd take it with a pinch of salt, well maybe more than a pinch, probably like a bucket.

That site has had LTE for close to a week I think. 3G was done months ago. Its nice. However I use WiFi in Meijer. I live about 2 miles east of that site in the dead spot.

Columbus has a way to go before being ready. 75 sites needing construction.

Armband the text was to try to keep people from cancelling.

I've had LTE when I drove on 33, but my amazement was that I could use data in the store :) especially Meijer, since every time I go into Meijer, no matter where, I get no usable reception.

I won't be leaving Sprint any time soon. Been with them for over 10 years.
