Network Vision/LTE - Lower Central Valley Market (Fresno, Bakersfield, Visalia)

I was picking up my wife from work (She works at the North Visalia Lowes) and I usually get a great 3G signal there before i connect to the WiFi to watch netflix on my Note II.

Well last night I was a bit to far away to connect to the WiFi and I noticed that I couldn't connect to facebook or twitter or even surf the net on the 3G even though I had 4 bars, but when I went to do a speed test it would time out and give a Network connection error, I hope that's a good sign for Visalia to get the LTE flipped on soon.

I just hope that when the LTE is turned on that I'll no longer have to rely on an AirRave to make calls from my house, I'm in a huge dead zone and it sucks when i'm used to 4 or 5 bars.  Even at work it's gone down to 2-3 from 4-5 not more than 6 months ago.

Dont worry, 4G will arrive in the next couple of months.

You know, just like they said in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and now 2013....

Well looks like we'll get Android Jelly Bean 4.3 on the 20th of November, so sooner than LTE in the Visalia area...

Here we see a rare congregation of feral AT&T trucks, grazing in their native habitat behind the dollar store and recycling place. I did not dare stop my car, for your average AT&T truck startles easily.

The hope is that, if given some privacy, the AT&T trucks will mate, producing a fiber-based offspring that will delight the bad neighborhood it will be born into.

I had a similar convergence at the tower by my house yesterday (and these two seem to be going pretty similarly) and then last night I was on 1x and then this morning getting incredibly slow speeds of around .02mbs. Hopefully something gets turned on soon!

I also drive past this one daily to and from work, seemed to be working well this morning (streaming spotify in the car).

Went on a small road trip today for you all today.  Mendota is confirmed 4g LTE and so is Firebaugh.  Interesting facts: 1. Firebaugh is significantly slower than Mendota. 2.  The LTE signal is thrown a huge distance away.  I was 8-10 miles away from the Mendota tower when it lit up. He are some pictures below as proof. (and for those wondering, no shots were fired at me when taking the photos!)

Awesome news about Firebaugh and Mendota! Hope it gets turned on soon here in Kerman. The data speeds the past two weeks have been ridiculously slow! I hope it also takes care of the fact that our tower is overloaded too.

According to Sprint Rep we are no longer than 3 months out and "in process".  But yes at 10:20pm a couple of days ago the tower was at 101% capacity in Kerman.  My suggestion is that you call and let them know about the slow tower.  Maybe they will hustle a bit.

Sorry, but I don't understand what the Sprint Rep told you.  Did they mean in 3 months they will be finished upgrading us to LTE or will it be 3 months before they increase the capacity on the tower?

She led me to believe that within 3 months the upgrade will be on.  With capacity upgrades and speed upgrades. I was holding my breath a bit because Firebaugh got it then Mendota got it 2 weeks later......follow down 33 to 180 then Tranquility/San Joaquin, then Kerman.  But I'm sure it doesn't work that way.
