Original Post

I just cut a custom screen protector for my phone and the clarity of the material is excellent. I am thinking of cutting out material for those that are interested for a small fee plus postage. I have direct access to as much of this material as I need for those who are interested in buying some custom screen protectors.

I failed to use a screen protector just once, and that is how I got the eHERPIES here at S4GRU.

What kind of material is it?

Josh offers a choice of materials: standard latex or premium lambskin.

It's called anti-graffiti film. It protects glass from scratches. It's used on mirrors in shopping mall bathrooms, or on the outside of windows on shops and offices.

Edit: Corrected a typo my phone made earlier. Shipping means a whole different thing than shopping, lol.

So the wet-apply kind of screen protector? Like invisible shield... How much orange peel texture does it have? I might be willing to buy and try it out.

I put it on dry. And it's better than Zagg. And what do you mean by 'orange peel texture'?

My last invisible shield I had on my HTC Hero had a texture that was slightly rough and uneven. It was similar to orange peel. And it had a bunch of little rainbow looking distortion points. I don't know if it was trapped water or what, it made me stop putting screen protectors on my phones though...

Oh no. This material is smooth with no distortions.

I've been trying to figure that out myself. Would the FCC filings have screen shape in the right dimension?

How much?

$4.50 includes $3 plus postage. Most phone screens are small enough to fit in a regular envelope' date=' [s']and a stamp is currently .45 cents I think.[/s]

warranty and return policy?

No warranty for such a cheap price. I'll only accept returns if I cut it wrong, which I don't plan on doing.

Possibly. The manufacturers of screen protectors seem to have them ready well before release of the devices. I wouldn't think they would buy 1 each of every phone. The OEMs must have something out there, or FCC... I'm not sure

$3 plus postage.

Okay, I want to buy 1000. I will send you a money order for $5000. You keep $3000, then send me back the extra $2000 along with the screen protectors. Oh, and I need you to ship them to me here in Nigeria.

    • New SCP beta rolling out now.. gave this one some extra testing with the hopes that I have finally cleaned up the glitches with 5G NSA web uploads as well as some other minor bugs. Please keep an eye on your upload notification to see if you have an abnormally large number of "clusters" being uploaded compared to the number of pending entries you had. By default, the app includes up to 512 entries per "cluster", but LTE and NR entries are clustered separately.
    • Yup—the current plan is to go with the AT&T site in Greenwater and the Verizon site atop Grass Mountain, although there have been so many problems getting the tower physically built and backhauled that the AT&T site south of 410 is looking like a candidate.  I do some work in the industry; there is a lot a can’t share but some that I can . Permits are a good way to track movement; although permitting happens only very late in the process.
    • That's really nice to hear--seems like this is the trend nationwide in general. Lots of new collocations planned around rural MI and OH from what I've seen in from the American Tower site portal. Also, the Att site around Greenwater WA got a new Tmo collocations (no n41) but wasn't online when I was around that area.   Btw, how are you able to get information on collocations plans? Are there permits available in those areas?
    • Verizon vs T-Mobile at MetLife Stadium today for the Howard vs Morehouse football game. Verizon has clearly poured a ton of money into MetLife Stadium. Besides mmWave there's also a hidden WiFi network for Verizon customers that I started connecting to from the parking lot. Verizon's mmWave performed great as usual but n41 was no slouch. T-Mobile was running 120MHz n41 in the stadium. No idea why T-Mobile is reporting 1 bar when field test mode was showing -70dbm.
    • T-Mobile is planning on colocating on the Newhalem site that AT&T and VZW are on as well as the site in Trafton. There are no finalized plans to address the coverage gap west and north of Darrington, although it’s being looked at.  It would be nice to see them build out at Lake Cavanaugh too, but no plans to do that yet as far as I’m aware.
