It is, I didn't even think of that.
AT&T and Verizon used to be the slowest with updates now T-Mobile is the slowest.

Finally got the February update on my AT&T s20 Ultra. It's another big one, over 1.5GB.
One UI 3.1?

except that with TNX, there is no roaming back onto Sprint, its magic boxes, and its roaming partners (with some exceptions possible for iPhones and TMobile-branded Androids only). This is important for some people and unimportant for others.
Correct, I luckily live in a solid T-Mobile area, my transfer has been amazing.

TNA and ROAMAHOME are essentially the same. TNX is the sim. Both have trade offs.
Not exactly, you get better speeds and overall better service with TNX.

Finally an update on the T-Mobile version, a bit late for a January update but better than nothing I suppose.

n41 is getting juicy, went for a ride a bit earlier pulled down 618/105 on 80MHz.

Anyone know if the unlocked firmware can access 5G SA? I'm guessing not.

Another month and Sprint released the February 1st update, T-Mobile is still on December 1st.

Similar, except it's BAD for me at home! For some reason, I'm in a small area of poor reception on T-Mobile. I'm pretty close to a Sprint site, but it's not marked as "keep" and therefore roaming. The Magic Box is of very little use these days as well. Practically everywhere else, it's as good, with usually better speeds!
My magic box has been unplugged for months, no one was connecting to it anymore.

Yes, I learned this by trial.....went TNX and I get all Sprint LTE bands just fine. My 5G NR is very fast, far faster than with my Sprint SIM. When on strong Sprint signal, I get Sprint bands. Very pleased with this S21 Ultra on TNX!
TNX has been phenomenal for me, T-Mobile definitely has better coverage in my area. I still do lose service going over the one bridge but no network can keep a signal there, it's at the bottom of a hill over a crick so kinda bad for any signal. Otherwise it's been fantastic. If T-Mobile ever rolls out better plans I will switch over completely.

I hear that another "fix" for the FE's touch screen issue might be in this update. If so, that could explain why the FE is pushed before the Ultra. Maybe ...
I don't know, the Sprint branded ones who aren't on TNX got the update already, same network lol it just makes no sense.

Nothing on my S20 Ultra on T-Mobile still on the December 1st patch.

And I can only access NSA right now, with a Sprint SIM, correct? No SA for me?
Correct.

I have the S21 in hand and activated. Loving it so far, after the latest update. It came with a Sprint SIM installed, but I moved the SIM from my old phone over to it, like the paper they sent me said to do. Then activated it online. That went smoothly.
I have access to T-Mobile's 5G, so in SCP it says I'm on either B66, B2 or B12. But that's probably b/c I'm in a T-Mobile 5G area.
If I go to an area with only LTE (no T-Mobile 5G), would it then go back to Sprint LTE?
Was your old sim a sprint sim or a TNX sim?

Still waiting on an update for my S21 Ultra on T-Mobile, still on December 1st security update.😑

Definitely a T-Mobile code, works on mine but didn't before I got the R15 sim.

Correct, R15 SIM is no longer required. SA 5G is working fine now on my T-Mobile S20+ with a TM9263 SIM card. I did have trouble with SA when it first rolled out up until about 6 weeks ago, but since then its been working flawlessly. My phone actually prefers SA 5G over LTE and at least 50% of the time that's what its on.
Yeah I stand corrected. 😆

Unless something has changed, NO. SA 5G requires the T-Mobile R15 sim, even for T-Mobile customers, from what i've seen.
Correct, no 5G SA without an R15 sim.

What plan?
Unlimited freedom v24 but I have the premium one.

Not downgrading to this, I'll keep my S20 Ultra for the time being and see what else might come out.

That was a early issue with the first people like me that got on TNX they have now corrected the issue.
So then my speeds are correct then, I was one of the first on TNX, good to know.

The example I’ve seen is on the Everything Data plan. Normally no throttle at all if I get 50 on speedtest I get 50 on fast. Another guy in this forum, switched one of his lines to TNX and went from no throttle to 2.3 max.
I could be wrong, pretty sure I was getting 8 down on Sprint.

Have you or anyone who has done the TNX sim swap noticed if your video speeds are throttled or not? I have seen a few examples of people switching to the TNX sim and being throttled to 2.3 on fast while getting over 100 on Speedtest .
Same speeds I was getting on sprint so 8 down on fast.com.

Went into the Sprint/T-Mobile store on the HQ campus in Overland Park today to get my screen replaced. While there, they also swapped out my sim card that came with the phone, to a new T-Mobile sim card. Now I see T-Mobile on my screen instead of Sprint.
Welcome to TNX! I've been happy with T-Mobile since I got the new sim a few months ago.
