Do you recommend that I use the new R15 sim instead of my old Tmobile sim card?  When I traded in my old LG G7, they just put my old sim card in the new S20 FE.

Without an R15 sim you won't get 5G SA.

So the One UI 3.0 Beta is out, I signed up for it but when I go to check for an update it says I am up to date. Hmm.

According to him people who are on the Sprint network will be able to get what they’re calling a 3-in-1 SIM card if the phone, plan, and coverage checks out good. This will allow the TME. Bills, and things like that will remain through the my sprint app. Plans remain the same also. Right now it’s only available in Seattle and Kansas City.

So this was correct, I had to go to two different T-Mobile stores because the first one didn't really know what they were doing. I of course was the first person to come in for the T-Mobile Network Experience, they asked me know I knew about it and I said Reddit and they laughed. But anyway I am officially on T-Mobile, I also have 5G SA as well.

Have you guys been seeing the network (either 5G or LTE) being displayed even when on WiFi? I haven't been able to narrow it down to a specific app and it's not from a weak WiFi signal or the wifi switching setting. Not sure if it's adversely affecting anything. So I have currently my WiFi symbol, the WiFi-calling icon, and "5G",  the signal bars and battery icon. Started for me after the last update that fixed GPS.

    All is normal here.

Sounds good to me would like the real 5G experience.

I dont know if its an issue (they say old tmo sims) but I have a sprint sim.... I guess if we keep having issues, a new sim would be the next step..

Do you know which yours is??

I'm not having any issues with my S20 Ultra.

possibly... as with any electronics, they have their outliers.. good and bad.

I just did reprovisioning... we will see how that works out

That would be two Samsung flagships in a row, my S10 Plus had the modem issue where data became unusable after a few months. It essentially fried itself, the replacement was solid though and was a brand new unit not a refurb. Keep us updated I'm curious as to what might happen.

Something still isn't great with my GPS. It's locking most of the time, but often if I access Maps directions by just using the Assistant like "hey google navigate home" it'll lose signal lock and freeze up. Most other times, it's completely fine. It's very strange. I haven't tried it running this week because it's too dark in the AM and it's been raining, so I've been relegated to the treadmill and my stories. The Boys season 2 is quite good and darker than the first.

A very nice thing that I can report is that The New T-Mobile has flip flopped on the LTE and "5G" speeds around me. Before the "5G" (automatic setting in Connections) was nearly unusable with dl speeds in the 1 mb/s range and upload failed....whereas the LTE was 5-10 down and 2 up.....I'm now seeing 10-20 on the "5G" signal and nearly unusable on LTE/CDMA only settings. So that's something, I guess.

We are not actually getting 5G NR though, just B66 LTE. It's just nice to have the opportunity to get a real 5G signal now if I come across one.

We're not getting 5G SA but we're definitely getting 5G NR.

Having issues with GPS on my runs now, it'll track me for a bit, then lose me, pick me up, lose me, etc. Tested with GPS Test and Fix, found out I'm not really getting a solid GPS lock. Finally bit the bullet and did a factory reset and still can't get a solid lock. What do you get when you run GPS Test and Fix? I know geographically we're all in different areas seeing different satellites. I feel like I'm using the Galaxy S2 all over again.

I've used this phone for runs all summer long, nearly every day, and never had an issue until the August 29th update. Now it's like clockwork, lost GPS signal.

Edit: seems like this is an issue everyone is having after the update checking Samsung Members and Reddit.

My GPS is fine, haven't had any issues.

I'm assuming some of those people complaining about B41 loss have the S20 or another current 5G phone, because then the T-Mobile network becomes primary and you will lose B41.

Not defending it.  I know how frustrating it is, and I've echoed the all eggs into 5G concern before, too.

I've had nothing but positive experiences on T-Mobile 5G, faster than B41 on average due to Sprint lacking backhaul.

I am thinking about buying the Unlocked version.
Maybe a dumb question but will the Unlocked version still support all Bands or is it still wise to buy the Tmobile carrier version?

You'll be fine. But yeah Note 20 Ultra is worse than the S20 Ultra imo, less ram and smaller battery. Samsung dropped the ball big time here, but here's hoping the S21 is better! And I am pissed the Galaxy forever deal is gone, guess things are going to go back to the old ways, buy phones outright or with my credit card lol.
