What problems are you having with the S20?  This will be a $8 per month lease for the S20+ (possibly free if I can get them to honor what the order confirmations say).

I still have my essential phone so anything is an upgrade from that at this point.

i wanted the one plus 8 but it does not seem like it can be activated.

Obviously the camera is all marketing, it's hardly if at all better than my old S10 Plus and the focusing issues are just straight up bad. The battery is meh, the rear camera lens is apparently starting to crack on some units with no abuse. It's just grossly overpriced for the hardware that you get.

I thought the S20s already have 5G?  I literally just took mine out of the box and am playing with it trying to decide if I should keep it or wait a few more months.

I successfully connected to TMO Band 71...that is not 5G?

If you're in a limited area where Sprint has 5G then yeah you'll connect to 5G but this is an update for Sprint phones to connect to T-Mobile's 5G network. I might be paying my lease off an getting rid of mine, too many issues for a $1400 device. Burnt two years in a row with the latest Samsung flagships heh.

Just noticed that I am roaming onto a B71 T-Mo tower at home, and am still able to connect to VOLTE!  As far as I can tell this is something new, previously when roaming on T-Mo it would drop out of VOLTE

    VoLTE was enabled this week.

Opened a Kickstart line cuz I was getting the itch to see what B41 was like these days, and my first time using sprint since April 21st 2015.
The PCS layer is a god awful mess between lack of optimization and congestion, they never did do anything to increase the range of B26, but I’m impressed with B41, especially when it’s running 3xB41 with it as PCC. I drove out to rural parts of Indiana where T-Mobile loses native coverage and found myself on B41 doing 80 mbps up to 6 miles from sites as PCC and still saw it 10 miles as SCC.

I can see how this is such a gold mine for T-Mobile, especially for rural areas when paired with 600. I’m super excited to see what they do with it and hope they try to build out to cover as extensively as Verizon (maybe a bit idealistic but they’ve tried to be like Verizon in every other way).

Have been seeing 25+25+41+41 and 26+25+41+41 CA combos, though I don’t see nearly as good speeds on these combos as I do when it’s all B41. Also have been seeing UL CA on B41. And while driving out in the rural areas I did roam on T-Mobile 2+71 for a little bit.

That’s all my findings for now.

Yeah B26 was never optimized like it should have been, barely any better than B25.

We'll see if there's any corroboration of or further clarification to this...

I think it's possible, already around me service is getting really flaky, and I am obviously on T-Mobile a lot more now. I was just out getting some grub and my service literally just dropped to nothing then it popped back up on T-Mobile when I was on B41 previously with a great signal. They are moving full steam ahead it seems and I am ok with that.

    1) stay safe

    2) So can you still get b41 (4g) LTE in the T-Mobile n41 areas?

    3) Is the b41 now coming from the n41 new T-Mobile sites? How is performance in both cases?

    4) Small cell and MagicBoxes still function in these areas as well?

    Thanks

I'm still getting B41 wherever I go, my magic box still functions like shit as it always has we don't even need it can't wait until we have to return it. Either way I think I am staying on T-Mobile bands until we get the update on the 28th now that we have VoLTE.

Sprint never deployed n41 in Philly so there is no spectrum reuse issue with Band 41 LTE and T-Mobile's deployment of n41. They're just using spectrum that Sprint never used in the first place.

The real test will be NYC which is supposed to launch next month. Sprint actually deployed n41 across most of the city already and T-Mobile is going to need that spectrum to deploy 5G. CNET said that T-Mobile won't shut down Sprint's 5G network until they've covered the city but I wouldn't be surprised if T-Mobile simply shut down nearby Sprint n41 sites as they turn on T-Mobile n41 sites to avoid any issues.

There is some 5G here, limited to a select few areas so pretty much non existent.

If they are using MOCN they would still be opening up their LTE network to Sprint users natively by broadcasting a Sprint PLMN over whatever the anchor band is. And I don't think it's possible to roam on LTE and operate natively on 5G at the same time right now. So what it sounds like to me is that the devices that will be operating on T-Mobile's 5G will likely also be getting native access to T-Mobile's LTE (or at least the anchor band).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

    That's what I'm thinking.
