  1. I've taken the plunge, I decided to upgrade. I'm taking a break from Samsung for a bit, S21 is a disaster of a phone and their general practices are questionable lately. Going back to my roots of Apple, 12 Pro Max to be specific. I'll definitely give Samsung a look again in the future, it's been a fun ride I've used Samsung exclusively since the S3. They need to win me back.

Looks like the A32 5G might not have SA yet.

On the *#2263# screens, my S20 FE seems to show SA as well as NSA.  My A32 does not seem to show those indicators.  I could be missing something or misreading something.

    Post a screenshot.

Does the A32 5G have standalone 5G out of the box or does it need an update like the S20 FE?

I'd imagine it's enabled out of the box, there is a dialer code which I forget atm to check.

It's *#2263#, go to NR Band Preferences and it should show any and all 5G bands enabled.

Finally got around to swapping a T-Mobile SIM into my iPhone 12 Pro for the "T-Mobile Network Experience".

My first speed test on the street:

    IMG_0033.PNG

My Upload speed on T-Mobile is almost 4x faster than my Xfinity Gigabit Internet service's Upload speed at home (35 Mbps).... and the Download speed isn't that far off either.

    Amazing.

Doing the SIM Swap was super easy and fast at the T-Mobile Retail Store. T-Mobile is absolutely killing it with the Sprint assets they got from the Merger....

    Oh what could have been.

There is going to be a surprise charge on your bill, think it was like $19 so beware.

The lack of the SD card was a weird thing to do, I'll give you that. But I also can see the reasoning, since everything is moving to cloud based anyway.

Aside from the Ultra, the line shifted down to help with affordability. So there were some sacrifices. Who really cares what the backing is like... they're in cases all the time anyway. S20 FE ~ S21, S20 ~ S21+. The prices are consistent between those models, so the specs are similar, with year-over-year improvements. The S20 FE was a really good seller (for a good reason), so they took that approach with the whole lineup.

I just think the S21 series is a downgrade overall and most people do. Definitely not a worthy upgrade over a S20 Ultra in any regard, a lateral move if any.

I wouldn't say garbage. The S21 lineup are still worthy phones. They made some changes to help a little with affordability, most notably on screen resolution battery size for the S21 and S21+. That does make the S21 more comparable to the S20 FE, which is what I have and it's still a pretty darn good phone. The S21 Ultra is still a top of the line device with improvements over the S20 Ultra, particularly where it comes to the screen. The updated chips means the inclusions of 5G CA which might be enticing to some people.

Lack of MST and SD Card is a big loss for me, I'm probably going back to iPhone in the fall. No point in staying with Samsung. The S21 and S21 Plus are pure shit compared to the S20 equivalent, 8GB of ram like seriously and plastic backs? Nah Samsung has lost it and gotten greedy.

what downgraded?? I remember them talking about it, but I cant remember what

They will likely give you whatever S21 is equivalent to your S20, although the S21 series is garbage compared to the S20 series.

So it appears my "signal" bouncing issues (how do i shrink a video for here??)  Is phone related NOT network..

Problem, in talking with the tier 2 CS guy.. Seems they dont have any around to  replace mine with??

So now what?? anyone dealt with a wonky phone that needs to be swapped and they dont have any?? how does that work?

hummmm inside a year BARELY for warranty.. bought in June

Free downgrade to the S21 series.

Does that include the surcharges ("administrative" charges) as well or just taxes? My taxes rarely eclipsed $10 for all 6 lines combined. Even combining with the surcharges, that still comes to less than $40, meaning a $20 increase overall.

Edit: I called and according to support, my bill will come out to be the same +/- a dollar. I'm not sure I get the math. I hope that's the case though.

The math is wrong I am most certain, you're likely going to be paying that $20 more.

My exact experience with trying to deal with this. It's ridiculous and no one could put the prices back to where they were. I had to give up as to not have an aneurysm. Again, it wasn't because of the "Taxes Included", the total bill is $50-ish more a month and we actually went to cheaper phones this round for payment plan, so it's likely even more, but I just can't deal with this.

Glad I'm not the only one, if this doesn't get resolved I may be leaving it's absolutely ridiculous.

Did the name shown for your plan change to include the initials T.I. or Tax Included?

Yeah it shows T-Mobile Unlimited Freedom w/Taxes & Fees Inc Unlimited Talk, Text & Data, my line fees went from $65 to $75 a month for my main line and my second line went from $45 to $50. These people are so damn stupid on the phone I literally was screaming at these people because all they do is go on script. They literally don't understand when you talk to them, they submitted a request to roll me back because I apparently never got an email or text letting me know to opt out. Absolutely insane.

FYSA for anyone that didn't already get the text, T-Mo is 'celebrating' one year since the merger by offering 50% off the Galaxy S21's if you're upgrading from an acceptable phone.

I was able to get the base S21 256gb model (though I have to wait a few weeks since I suppose they're backordered) for $19.21 x 24 = $461.04 total via installment plan.

I got nothing even when I try to do it manually it's asking full price, guess I don't qualify but then again the S21 is a downgrade so it doesn't bother me.

Hey does anyone else have issues with their VM notifications not showing up on the top bar, or anywhere for that matter.

I every now and then check, and ill have like 6 VM in there over a 2 week period.  its beginning to piss me off.. Mine is the s20 ultra

On a separate note, my wifes s20 plays sound from VM real low, even with volume up, and NO speaker, and yes BT is turned off...

Is this the VM issue, network or what?

I have issues with voice-mail in general, I literally have to dial in to get the notification to go away even though I use visual voice-mail.

My bad.  It was an ATT S20 Ultra that got the March update.

Guess my Tmobile S20 FE is ahead of the Tmobile S20 Ultra.  Hope your phone is updated soon.

    T-Mobile is terrible with updates.

Just got the Feb update this past Tuesday!

Looks like the FE is finally caught up to the other S20's.

Still on February 1st on my S20 Ultra.
