Calling Plus (VoLTE "Lite")
BlueAngel replied to burnout8488's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
Hmm makes sense kinda, I've noticed my battery has tanked a lot myself. Probably going to disable it and see if it makes a difference. -
Nope soon as you order it or walk out of the store with it.

Note 5 was a better rf performer imo, granted I have an S8+ but I'm sure it's damn near the same the Note 8. I'm not impressed at all, HPUE doesn't make a difference at all. May be selling this and going back to my Note 5 for the time being.

I'm getting quite annoyed with my +, I've had the phone hard lock up on me a few times now. Doing nothing stressful at all, simple Facebook or Instagram. Never once had my Note 5 do this to me, I'm seriously debating going back to my Note 5 until I can buy something else, gonna maybe throw this on swappa and get most of my money back, not happy with it at all. Even with 3xCA I'm not seeing anything over 80mbps, same tower I would normally get 150 on my Note 5, sad.

From what I have gathered all 8's and the Note 8 are unlocked you just flash the firmware you want.

All the time no problems, had one issue last week though at work. We don't get the best signal (doesn't matter the network they all suck here) and I was on WiFi Calling and my boss called me and I was on a hardly usable WiFi signal and dropped the call and had no LTE to fall back onto. I fixed it by turning WiFI off and I toggled Airplane mode and that got me back into LTE and I was able to finish the phone call. Otherwise it works great no issues at all besides that one time which now I won't have to deal with because I know in that particular area LTE works fine but for some reason my phone was being stupid and didn't try and find a signal.

It's too bright!

I've realized I only get bad battery drain after a restart, it will consume between 1-2% within a few hours. If I kill the process and restart virtually no drain. Hope that helps maybe, S8+ here. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Granted I do think my Note 5 was a more fluid experience but I love this phone, the battery life simply amazes me. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I've noticed over the last few weeks that scp is using a decent amount of battery, some days it's 1-2% don't know if it's a known issue but thought I would let you know. I'll take a screenshot the next time I see it happen, usually killing the process fixes it. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
