So for my broken Note 5 I ordered a battery from amazon it was supposed to come today by 8pm... nope. Amazon thinks it's here, but it's not. So I bought a heat gun, a tool kit so I can dismantle the phone and proceeded to do so, but have nothing to put it. Was fun not too hard if you're technically inclined or can build your own PC etc. Hoping it's a dead battery and is the reason it will not take a charge, if not oh well a nice heavy paperweight. Damn battery better get here asap.

Heh still cracks me up, still on the August 1st security patch... So much for a flagship device, perhaps they're just gonna give us oreo instead of another nougat update.

It's possible if you get the right employee, my friend used my Sprint Note 5 (was unlocked) on Verizon for a few months they added the IMEI to their system.

I've yet to see anything over 80, note 5 was pulling 150 on 2xCA... Kinda weird don't you think? lol anyways yeah my Note 5 is dead took it to a phone shop and he looked it over and said it's most likely the charging port (95% chance of breaking the screen to replace it) so I have a $250 paperweight. Sad I am stuck with this S8+, I loathe it at this point.

So far no luck with my Note 5, think the damn things is dead. Just went out and got the Samsung Wireless Charging Stand for $60 and the lights indicate it's charging on the pad but I don't see the phone charging, S8+ charges fine on it. Gonna let it sit on here a bit and hope it turns on and was just really dead from sitting a few months. If not I may just toss it off a bridge I'm pissed.

I'm going to try and go back to my Note 5 tomorrow (lent it to a friend on Verizon for a few months) and see how it fares, nothing has really impressed me on the S8+ even the battery life sucks after a fresh install, if I can manage a week with the Note 5 I may sell this and use the money I make on it back and pay it off and start fresh lol or wait until next year. The Note 5 had far superior B41 performance, even being limited to 2xCA I was pulling 150+ whereas on the S8+ I am lucky to hit maybe 80 on 3xCA from the same tower. Yes it was tested within a day of getting my S8+ nothing changed in that time frame lol, HPUE has done nothing for me a marketing gimmick imho. And the we get into actual device performance, you know just little things. I felt the Note 5 was smoother overall with very little to no frame drops, the S8+ can get really choppy at times, never seen that on the Note 5. Camera isn't that much better either, marginal at best and really only in lower light so we shall see what this week brings. Heh and so goes my luck, phone won't turn on or charge (Note 5), wonder if the charging port is shot I dunno, gonna go to best buy tomorrow and hope they have a wireless charging pad to rule out a bad port if not my buddy will owe me some money lol.

Heh I'm not the only one with an S8+ that freezes for no reason.

I'm back on stock, better connectivity imo and VoLTE lol, just hope it doesn't start freezing and I've yet to have any lag it's pretty smooth.

I might be flashing back to stock, I'm getting worse service compared to stock firmware. Otherwise I like it a lot better.

Well I flashed the unlocked firmware, hopefully this doesn't freeze up like the Sprint firmware otherwise this phone is going on swappa lol. Phone seems to run smoother than the Sprint firmware no lag.

No, perhaps I wasn't clear. I went to Louisiana and came back home to Philadelphia, PA and went to one of my normal bars that barely had service maybe a bar or two of 1x800, and since I came back it's now B26 inside. Louisiana does have B26 however, I was connected to it most of my time down there being out in the middle of nowhere. Only saw B41 at Baton Rouge airport unfortunately, never outside anywhere just B25/B26. I was impressed though, I was matching my brothers service on AT&T if not surpassing it in most areas, speed aside as we all know B26 is molasses but it worked well.

Went to Louisiana for a wedding, came back and went to a bar I frequent in Philly and LTE is usable there now.

Heh I come back from vacation and stop in the one bar I frequent here and there and what used to be 3G at best if you were lucky has B26 now, guess my complaints and many others made them fix their towers. Guessing they adjusted the Downtilt and or boosted the signal not quite sure.

So yeah I think I have come to the conclusion that I am throwing this phone on swappa, tired of it freezing up for no reason requiring a hard restart. Note 5 never did it once doing a simple thing such as texting, it happens at least once or twice a week it's being doing it since I got it. Every app is asleep besides vital ones so nothing is using power when I don't have it running so it's not an app. I've just had enough at this point. Or I can give it to my nephew and use the other upgrade for something else maybe an iPhone lol.

Hmm down in baton rouge for a wedding, no B41 that I have seen only B25/B26 decent and usable haven't found a 3G spot yet but I'm sure I will Sprint doesn't do well down here from what I heard. Guess we'll see, I'll be going out into the sticks in a few might be roaming lol.
