I hope some one can post how to manually up date this like I did with my L13 update from XDA forums.

At this point it is what it is, and when it happens it does. So far every one has an opinion of what will happen but until it does happen remember it is just an opinion. That said it is close enough to have me patiently waiting, because I love the GSIII performance over every other phone that I had. Using the GSIII on 3 g is no different than using my Photon because 4G only happened in certain areas, but the GSIII is far more responsive as an over all unit.

Well I can say without a doubt that my 3g speeds have increased pretty much every where that I go n the Bronx right now.

Damn I have been all over the Bronx but my phone is not always in front of my face. In Throggsneck I thought I saw a 4g signal for a split second and then it was gone. I have achieved up to 1.9mbs in many areas including Queens since last January, but like U.F.O's I ain't never seen on o dem 4g LTE signals yet. I have even tested areas where Wimax was strong and no LTE yet.lol I am now jealous, and must travel with my phone in my windshield mount now.rofl

I think a lot of this is because people like to be led. They like some one telling them what do do, and they like being apart of the in crowd. They also like to follow people that sound smart or look good regardless of rather than they are smart or not.

I will only say that Sprint served me well in the pas until 1.5 years ago when service began clipping. Had it not been for unlimited data I would have left last December.Days after my dropped calls were addressed with the truth I got 1.9mbs in the Bronx and I was enthused to look to the future. I will hope that I didn't endure poor service looking for better days to only get unlimited data snatched from me. There is no entitlement thinking here, but it is a fact that that is the lynch pin for me to take the poor service rendered the last 1.5 years. I hope they don't slap the die hard supporters like some of us here that have been with them since the doors opened in late 96 early 1997.

I totally understand, but I have down loaded the last one and had no issues with its performance and whenever their was an update it was no different than what came with the phone. I see this as being no different than the L13 update that people was pasting and down loading all around the internet. Some one got the update and posted it to Android Police and they post it as a easy to get down load. For those that want it it is here and is also running on my phone without any issues!

I agree, and I have been advocating for Sprint quite a bit based on the knowledge and facts that I have learned here, and abroad. moat people don't have the facts that would allow them to make informed decisions. However; Sprint has lied and concealed the reason for problems with their service. They try to make you feel that you are the only one with issues, or that it's your handset when clearly the service has major growing pains with their rolling outages reported through out the country by their users, and Tech sites alike. I feel that Sprint needs to respond to customers with the truth, because I almost canceled when I was dropping every other call not receiving text or services for hours and at one point could not get a call from the Top tech Supervisor because of service disruptions. They want to keep profits high by screwing the people that pay them instead of crediting them for poor service. I don't want a free hand out but a credit for times when service was horrendous and the truth would have stopped me from researching Verizon! I have been with Sprint since the opened the doors 15 years ago, and never had poor service like I have had in the last year and a half. They finally told me the truth when I threatened to leave. I would have been paying more but I would have service. No one should have to decide to stay in a poor performing contract with no truthful addressing of why it is happening because they know they are the cheapest game in town. Now this is the truthful answer from my personal interaction with service, and Sprint the past year and a half so don't think for a minute this is meant to be a bashing post. It is a truthful reason of what people are going through and you have to have compassion for this type of argument even if you like Sprint over all as I do!

I bought this phone over the Evo LTE because of signal strength. I tested it against my Photon, in strong and weak area's and found it on par, and always with in -1dbm in weak areas. n.v could be the cause.
