Go ahead and sideload that new update, and call it a day. On a side noteI recieved a text while I was talking on the phone today....I thought that it would not be possible to recieve text while talking with new devices like the Nexus 5!

The new radio may not be as sensitive to LTE inside my home like before, however; when I traveled about today outside it had no problems connecting to an LTE signal and stayed connected most everywhere that I went. I still get that bug for swiping to answer a call where it freezes and needs to be rebooted!

I built and tinkered with a Toyota Supra and it is tinkered to the tune of 700RWHP!rofl...I seem to have a tinker bug I guess! I have made 15-20lbs of boost in 1st ger with a GT4067r!

I guess the techno geek in me couldn't resist....I build all kinds of crazy state of the art Windows based PC's such as home controllers, media storage, and Home theatre streamers, gaming PC's and and was hooked from my very 1st build in 1995! Last year I built a Windows 12 Server based Home Theater Media Server that has 20 hot swappable drive bays that hold up to 4 terabytes a drive bay. So far we have 2 drive 4 terabyte drive bays loaded with every Cd we have bought in the past catalogued and set up streaming to every 40-55 in LED tv in the home. If upgrades come out I immediately get them. I just installed the new Google Play 4.50 upgrade from Android police the other day.lol For me getting upgrades early and testing hem has been a challenge and so far a rewarding adventure 99% of the time. I bet that Talon gets a little tinkering in your avatar.

You're too smart for me....lol You said you would not do the upgrade for a camera fix upgrade, and my response was that some Tech sites report that it was more than just a camera fix in that upgrade. I went on to say there may have been a fix that adreesed the radio; which could be why people are claiming a radio bug....ect.ect.ect! Then I ended with that time would tell if the aledged bug fixes are good or not....forgive my rant!

Some of the Tech sites that I have been to say that bugs such the problem myself andothers had when answering a call was addressed. Android Police has a lsit of all the bugs and fixes that were addressed. I see everywhere on all carriers on XDA of people complaing of weaker RF signal. My guess is as someone else mentioned that they scaled sensitivity back for LTE so that the phone could adjsut to other signals when calls and text came through. My phone does not lod onto LTE as much as it did inside however it does locate that signal sometimes. Now it oparks on 3g, but I was able to answer a call when ity almost would not swipe at the last moment it swiped and answered. Time will tell if this is better or not I think, because the phone isn't cyling all the radios as much...1x LE 3g LTE 1x Lte nothing LTE 1x lol I like the camera upgrade, but feel it needs a bit more polish, but its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than before. My text aren't delayed now so far;)....so I feel this radio may be better when the LTE signal is everywhere, but they probably should have left the strong signal and just changed the way it interfaced with the signal!

I was in stock recovery but the problem that I was having was when it went into recovery mode widows no longer saw the device and I had an exclamation point in device manager. I found this information over at XDA. So I tried installing the driver in device manager manually but after selecting latest usb_drivers they still would not load, and the excalamtion point remained. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513701 I did every thing precisely as instructed for non rooted devices from the above link. I decided to try the let me install drivers on my PC and selected the ADB312 drivers and the exclamation point went away. I then typed adb sideload and dragged the original down loaded driver to the open comand line and boom it went through seemlessly. So if anyone is getting an error after booting into recovery pull of device manager to see if the drivers are failing to load, and do as I did. Select the drivers from a locaion on the PC and chooose the adb312 driver....wWindows will ask you if you are sure macheine can freeze yada yada yada go ahead and chooe that option and call it a day!

Anyone goy any ideas why when I try to adb sideload i get a message cant read "update.zip". The device shows up when I do a adb devices with serial number. When I go into recovery it ask for the file when I type the name in command it says cant read said file.

This happens to me and there is a thread started at Google by some one from Android Central, and XDA Forums. I also signed into that Google thread. If you hit update user profile ist sets all prioties to 1.

For anyone that experienced the Nexus 5 not picking up a call, and freezing I have found that the the phone does not fall back to 1X like it is suppose to and hangs on to LTE signal when this happens. It seems I have had to reboot to correct this issue.

I got 16-17mb on Wimax in Pelham Bay in the Bronx....I hope Spark is working there.

I have the same problem, and it's been going on the last few weeks. Signal fluctuates from 0-3 bars and disappear here in Throggsneck.

My old hangouts back in the day. I still travel out to the Hamptons with no losss of signal with Sprint. I got LTE signal visiting a friend in Middletown last week. They are expanding coverage for sure. I even get a weak LTE signal in Fishkill where I only got 3g barely. I have friends in Bayshore close to the mall.

I have been a good sub since January of 1997...and for business averaged $200-600.00 a month in bills in the past. I barely use data and still paid for premium data with out going over 1 gig ever and most months maybe use 500mb max! I have given them their moneys worth and some, with the nickel and dming, and poors ervices through NV conversion. They had been best bang for the buck until NV conversion started! Again this seems to happen only after updating user profile I think!. However Nexxgen checked this out and notices the same thing as well. Others never checked wthe band settings after they manually updated I bet!

Ihave been posting this since the 1st day that I got my MSL. Over a week ago I found that no matter which setting was made the user profile update changed them to the order 25 26 41 automaticly. I wonder how many people "thought" that they had a manual band selection that changed after theuser profile was updated.rofl It would be interesting to see what the "SPARK" devices band priorities were set at. Seems to me that SPrint is in control of band priorities through the users profile update.

No matther what band priority I choose after updating my user profile the bands reset to 25 26 41 in that order.

I bought mine from Google for $449.00 and got the 32gb version.Sprint has to pay techinicans and slectricity so they have to try to make moeny. No big deal since Goole is the obvious choice to buy these.

This is very true, However after playing with the N5 I have noticed a few things. I ran a sensoryly test in my location and it picked up LTE signal for the 1st time in my area on that map. and I logged it 1st here in Throggsneck, Bronx. The singal fluctuates from .5 mb-17mb down once, but I can make a call, and send text on LTE. The significance is that I am recieving LTE signal while I was inside for the very 1st time ever. I don't know what caused it but I thought I saw an R where LTE or 3g, or 1x strenght signal displays. When the R displays I am making a phone call, and the band reports as band 50. Anyone know what band 50 is, or what the R sybolizes. 1st the signal strength is insane inside I am only getting LTE band 25 2nd no matter what I set the band priorities to after I do a profile update my priorities for all bands are set to 1, with band 25 1st, band 26 2nd, band 41 3rd 3rd for the 1st time inside I am making calls that seem to have better clarity. When all the band priorities are set to 1 after the profile update an R displays when making and recieving calls and N5FT LTE engineering report displays a band 50 4th 3G signal is way stronger inside and seems more reliable than the SG3 5th since my signal does not fade in and out inside as it did with the SG3 my battery last way longer. Most of my battery life in the SG3 was lost mostly to signal search. 6th Today after 5 hours of use I had 40% battery strength after talking for for about 2 hours straight, and making about 5 phone calls light usage, paling music for about3 hours straight, and testing different band priority settings for a few hours. Had I not tried testing band setting configurations the usage would have been fine. 7. My phone parks in LTE mostly all day inside which never ever happened with my SG3 Sooooo........I think anyone that has a good signal will enjoy better battery life. I get 10-12hours battery have over 50% with medium usage.

There is so much misinformation on what band priorites and bands to set. On XDA one guys says don't enable band 26. Then there is set all priorities to 1, and then there is set aonly band 41 priority to 1. Why so much misconception or conflicting information?
