In my house I get weak -96dbm to -101dbm and I can go all day with over 12 hours with it just laying there. I can tell you I let my Photon stay next to it doing DBM test from network dbm tester and they are pretty darn close signal wise. Don't hesitate to change from the Viper to this. I am not passing anecdotal or euphoric information.....all of this is from testing my Photon signal strength from a side to side comparison position.

Waist high to the ground about 3.5 feet at most, and it hit the concrete ground flat on the back side....no scrapes or scuffs, but a mildly cracked screen.

Bar for bar is on par with my Photon and dbm wise....I will keep it. Also I dropped it and now must figure out this TEP thing if it applies. Amazon has a 64 gig SD ultra for $48.00, and a 32 gig SD from Sandisk for $19.95 for those needing more storage

Ok I picked my GS III up at 10:00am today. Going into the Bronx near the Throggsneck Bridge I got 1910kbps down and 1096 kbps upload tonight on 3G with a 76ms ping. Bring it baby,,,,,

Ok I got mine and so far it's not to far off of signal reception from my Photon -DBM wise. I bearly get a signal in my house but i can make calls as with the Photon. They at this point are real close in signal strength the Photon, and the GSIII. The photon being a bit stronger no question about it signal wise. I checked -dbm's in many areas and they are close. Wierd that in the Sprint store location it had -57 dbm while my Photon hads a -65 dbm while the EVO 4G LTE had a -79dbm. So far I love the feel and look of pebble blue. The screen is way better than the Photon. Some times the signal when low swithes between cdma a or b or 1xrt:6....whats that 1Xrt:6. The fact that all of my Google settings were saved on my SD from the Photon when I signed into Goggle it started down loading all apps. I had 40% battery, and when the down loads were complete I was almost out of juice. The back of the phone gets hot when down loading it seems. As Aaron from Phone dog says the way that you can get the pull down screen to show wifi blue tooth, and air plane mode for control is great

After using the EVO LTE "I am compelled to ditch" my trusty Photon for a GSIII. I do this for the software fluidity, and multimedia enhancements as well. I use my phone mostly for calling and rarely use Wimax unless I am out in the city any way. When NYC is lit up with LTE I will have unlimited data, and a great phone until this happens. If I want a better phone at the years end I will sell this for only a 4 core LTE Galaxy Nexus and add to a second line! My last Premier upgrade is July 1, 2012. When I factor in the fact that S4GRU reports that NYC will be lit up by October, and my upgrade is due now I decided not to wait and push my 2014 upgrade back until October. Also the fact that Sprint's service suffices enough for me to stay for the unlimited data, and LTE at an affordable rate a win win scenario "for me"! I know that Sprint has already broadcast that they will light up the LTE in the 4-5 1st round major markets July 15th 2012. I have already achieved 1.5mbs up and down on 3G at times so it's only a matter of time

MS, and Apple deserve to be in the same boat they have put people. Bull crap patent infringement rules are just attempts to block competition. Now all of a sudden the justice of harming competition and profit are on the table for MS, and Apple. Let the chips fall where they may.....ban their asses.

I am glad to hear this because I went to Sprint today to get my phone on the 1st of July. I got my 50.00 gift card and am on the list to pick it up early Sunday morning. Aaron from phone dog, and no real negative issues minus the exploding over heating phone is why I did it. If something better come along I have another line......rofl Where's the antenna review man.....

Only problem is 2014 upgrade will be year end if I wait. Then who kn ows if Galaxy nexus shows up in 4 core lte lol. Then again look what sprint did with that phone. Waited until it's obsolete....wtf! The Evo 4G LTE clearly was a better choice unless you had to have a Nexus.

Damn so should I upgrade now or wait until august or later. I have an upgrade due July 1, 2012. Samsung or wait for as 4 core lte device. Decisions decisions!

Agreed, I always hear people say that I need it to fit in my back pocket.....idiot's for sure. Why potential risk sitting on it inadvertently, or leaning up against something and crushing the hardware. People like that you must give a wide berth in life. Stay as far away from that kind of thinker for sure.

Thanks, I will do this since I have been with Sprint for 15 years my last upgrade like yours hangs in the wind here. Going to be a long wait between now and 2014, but I have the secret weapon, another line primed for an upgrade.rofl I'll just get the 16 mb and if needed I saw amazon selling 64gig sd for &20.00.
