  1. I understand because I have the same issue. Now I am trying to decide if it happens in a weak signal area like inside my home only. Do you have this issue in strong or weak areas. My signal at home is cycling in and out, and it maybe work being done on the towers in the area.
  2. This is more than likely a software issue....a fix will probably take care of this. The only way mines will go back is fiit were hardware related
  3. I got 1.38mbs down, and .7mbs up with 235ms ping inside where I never ever got a signal on my GS3 in the Bronx/Throggsneck.
  4. I am having issues getting messages and phone calls. Everything has been delayed text wise the last two days, and calls are going straight to voice mail.Enabling bands 41 and 25 would not cuase these issues would they?
  5. This happens to a lot of people, but to get this glitch evaluated we need to make a runngin list of names that has this issue.
  6. I did it this way......it was very simple and straight forward. After down loading the drivers the instructions in this thread got there "QWIKLY" http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4989-lg-google-nexus-5-users-thread/page-86&do=findComment&comment=238325

Then in that folder I went sdk/platform-tools. While holding shift I right clicked in that folder then selected "open command window here" In the command window i typed adb devices (to make sure its reading your phone) if you get a serial number and the word device it is reading it correctly Then I typed adb logcat (it will start logging and going very fast just let it go until it stops) On the Phone go to the dialer and type *#*#3282#*#* you will get the data menu Click on LTE then Edit it will prompt you for your MSL (or security code) you dont have to type anything in yet On the PC look at the Command window and you should see your MSL Below is code that you should see look for itemValue followed by a 6 digit number. It will also appear 2 more times in the lines below. Enter that number on your phone and you should now be able to enable the other 2 LTE bands. "V/LG_SVC_ITEMS(18638): length =6 responseBytes=REMOVED itemValue=****** D/LG_SVC_ITEMS(18638): getCommands commandId 200 = ******-END D/LG_SVC_CMD(18638): itemID = 200, Value = ******" If you enter the wrong MSL code in 2x your phone will reboot. Don't worry you can just repeat the above steps to get the MSL Code. Sent from Beyond In addition to whats here I did this! 8. Thats what I thought, but for some reason this does not happen. When I 1st got the phone that showed up on the PC in Windows.
  9. Can some one explain why there is no way for me to select the usb charge only selection. I got every step complete but it won't show up in tje com port so I am guessing that not being albe to set the phone to charge only on USB is causing this.
  10. I ordered mine just because, good job and thanks for the information! I am still waiting for Sprint to send my Simm, but I really don't need it since I wnet to a Corporate store and activated my phone last week.
  11. I have my brightness set to less than 25% and I have great visuals and it is brighter than my SG3. My SG3 has more saturated color, but whites are like a blueish tinted hue, and darker. Try setting 25% brightness and try like all of the wall paper for home screen and choose a black or no wall paper background.......this thing is extremely vivid and can be viewed from any angle; However the black is not as vivid and dakr like my SG3. It I think the panels on the N5 have a problem with the way the brightness is dipalyed on the screen! When the brightness is higer white seems to bleed through too much!
  12. Those studies are always skewed in my opinion. Especailly when they are suppose to be used for analyst to pump and dump@ Just give me techinical data, because it depends on where the studies were taken, and how they were taken, The last study that I saw showed Amdroid with a commanding market share and growing and only losing like .8% to Apple the last quarter so far....
  13. Realllllly, when was that. I can say that when it 1st hit the scene it was an amazing devide, but the draw back for me 1st hand was that the damn screen size was as small as my HTC Pocket PC Windows phone. Had Microsoft expanded on that Phone they would be sitting pretty. One of the1st phones with an OS and pen. In my opinion size was 1st and fore most iPhones achilles heel, then it was too much iControl.
  14. This took a while for me to conceptualize given the saturation of color that most screens desplay. The Nexus 5 is very accurate reds blues, whites, yellows, and blacks, blacks are not as rich or dark as the Amoled Samsung screens.http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Google-Nexus-5-Review_id3479
  15. I agree with you on this one for sure!
  16. Thats the oversaturation that you see there. Phone Arena did a Nexus 5 Screen only review vs other phones and guess who has one of the mpst accurate true to life color reproduction....That's right the Nexus 5!
  17. Did you change the back ground colors at all. I have the bubbles home screen and a black back ground and I can see my apps from all angles. This was achieved only after lowering my screen brightness settings. The phone is not as saturated color wise like my SG3, black is not as rich, but over all I am pleased. When the brightness was higher I was not as pleased as I am now. Don't get me wrong it still is a little washed out but barely from side views with black. If anyone has this just lower the brightness settings, and use a black back grounf and try using the bluish black buubles screen and the phone looks extremely sweet from all veiwing angles.
  18. After having this phone since Thursday night I can say that I am truely not missing my SG3. I was a bit botherd by the color appearance until I turned the brightness down in the display. Once I adjusted the brightness I was blown away with the appearance. You all should try lowering the screen brightness as well. With the brightness adjusted lower I was able to see the phone from an angle very clearly with out that washed out appearance. The Screen review about the Nexus 5 screen on PhoneArean was dead on. I set my backgroung as black and everything just pops. The colors are not as saturated as the SG3, nor is the black as rich, but everything else is dead on color wise. The screen is sharp, and crisp, and the white is much whiter than my SG3. The speaker is louder, and I get better battery life than the SG3, and dare I say that the antenna sometimes picks up LTE inside my home where as before that never ever happened. Although this thing is made of plastic it is easier to hold than the SG3, my SG3 felt slippery to the touch and grip. They both are sturdy phones albeit plastic they are well made plastic. The NS5 seems to have a more visual premium look in "my opinion" even thoguh both are made of plastic. I miss Touch Wiz to the extent that I missed Sense from my EVO 4 G. Touch wiz has many more features from Samsung that I miss like the Music Hub, and camera settings. I can tell you that I can aprreciate both OS Touchwiz or straight up KitKat, and miss the 7 home screens that TouchWiz gives straight out of the Box. I am using Nova Laucher for the sake of the way the contacts is setup in Kit Ka "preference", and additional home screens. I have not found any lagginess, and this OS is clean and smooth. My SG3 is slow and a bit laggy compared to this for sure. My SG3 was no way as responsive as this is when cchanging betwee screens and Apps. What you get with the Nexus 5 is a clean snappier OS, lag...what Lag! You get a beastly radio, a well made phone albeit made of plastic. You get a faster smoother OS, a louder speaker a biggger screen thats much sharper and with the brightness toned down a gorgeous screen that can be viewd form many different angles. Yes, with "brightness" adjusted high it looks washed out but when the brightness is adjusted lower you get nice rich colors. I streamed Netflix in the Pocono's with 2-3 bars with out skipping a beat on unlimited Data. Better yet I can choose any operator other than Verizon, and I am not locked in to a contract. No phone has everything, and better camera software is sorely needed. I can honestly say this is for anyone that wants a fast and smooth OS with every thing top notch at this point besides the camera software, and no contract. This will replace the GS3 that I had with a cracked screen without paying GS3 replacement cost, or replacing it and gettinbg a used phone. I can now wait for a metal Note 4 with tri band, and take advantage of SPARK in the mean time with unlimited data here in NY.. Best of all I am not contract bound and still have an upgrade to use. 32bg Nexus 5 white and lrocking it with my Skull Candy Hesh 2 headphones! Do not be Afraid to try this phone!
  19. I ordered 32gb white on the 5th and it arrived by the 7th even though it sid 2-3 weeks.
  20. Mine does and has one hell of a signal straight out of the box!
  21. I am saving my upgrade for an expected beastly Note 4, 5 mpnths till the end of my old contract, and 1 up does not cut it.
  22. No simm removal tool huh, seems like Sprint wants to \make it hard for you to switch simms. I don't understand why anyone that knows that you can buy it from google play for 349/3999.00 would pay Sprint 449.00. 449.00 from Google play got me the same phone in 32g vs 16.....tha\t's enough to deter me from buying from Sprint....over paying and getting less for more equipment wise.
  23. I have no problem with LTE connection with 32gb white.
  24. I would not accept them and haven't since I have been here 1997 ok!
