  1. You're voice is on Verizon, your data is on Sprint. Covered many times before. Edit: You're roaming Voice and Data on Verizon. There have been recent PRL updates.
  2. I don't think you're saying this, but let me comment from my own mind about it. When Verizon was doing the can you hear me now commercials it was all about voice and voice only. Voice is no longer the selling point in advertisements. I do think Sprint can spin off this idea and start doing commercials in weird places showing people watching Youtube videos, posting to Twitter/Facebook and watching WatchESPN. Like on top of mountains or etc etc. One thing they lost out on where AT&T slammed is how AT&T are doing commercials with the network people installing small cells in all types of places. They could have done something like that to say that they're building Network Vision in places you need it.
  3. Hard to explain Network Vision in a 30 second commercial spot. They hope customer's Google for more information.
  4. Timelines were provided previously, which is why everyone has become pissed. Saying it's coming and saying it's being worked on are two different things. Providing details on why it's taken so long will only come off as an excuse and displacing blame. Throwing people under the bus looks bad on the person doing it and not on those that failed.
  5. I'd rather him say, our network still has problems (he's already done that on saying our network isn't where it needs to be) and say, we're going to get it there and nothing else.
  6. Things to consider: Sprint has more statistics about how their members use their service than any of us do. A majority of family/framily accounts may show that collectively the family doesn't need unlimited and can get away with a bucket of 20GB. So why not offer a cheaper alternate to unlimited. Just because the new family plans don't include unlimited doesn't mean there won't be an unlimited family plan of some sort in the system. Expiration dates on plans are just legal writings, plans are extended all the time. As said before, you don't have to change your plan. Being on Everything Data Family with a Corporate Discount makes Sprint's plans extremely competitive. These new plans will attract new customers. There are customers that have left Sprint to go to the other Big 3 and their service was downgraded. These new family plans and buyout options will attract those customers back.
  7. Purchasing trends don't show the demand on Sprint for a Windows Phone device. Until Windows app store meets 90% of Android's most desired apps it's going to continue to struggle. Whether it's a corner cap of Target or the phone cage/cabinet at the back of a Sprint store, if the device isn't selling, it's taking up desired space.
  8. So I guess all of the My Way/All In, Framily Unlimited, SERO and Everything Data plans never existed huh?
  9. We haven't seen anything come through the FCC about it. So as of today, the answer seems to be no.
  10. Thanks to everyone that it out tonight. Great time and looking forward to the next event.
  11. One thing to add, the only specs released for hardware is the Softbank variant. U.S. version may receive a boost if they decide to go full Flagship Promotion for it.
  12. This is big news for the event. You gotta remember, this event was planned before all the CEO swap news. It's bringing an exclusive device to the U.S. for a manufacture that isn't present in the U.S. for smartphones.
  13. Over in the rules, it links to the guidelines to show the proper way to do it so everyone is protected.
  14. New LTE Downtown Columbus is 1900 3G/4G complete pending any new sites.
  15. Looks like a good device, but today's gadget spam has gotten out of control. Thanks Samsung.
  16. Anybody seen my spatula? What about my lemon pepper?
  17. But why bang your head on a wall about something that may never happen? Especially when none of us here to make it happen for you.
  18. Sorry, I was lumping home ISP into the same boat as Hotspots. I'm not sure of many places (if any) in the country where WiMax coverage isn't overshadowed by Sprint LTE coverage of some sort and sometimes even B41. So by the time WiMax goes by the waste side, Band 41 coverage will already blanket those same areas. Majority of tablet users use less than a GB of data per month and really rely on WiFi, so I'm not sure of the need to have unlimited Tablet Data on the go where you have to do something you can't do on your smartphone. If you have a business purposes for extra data on a Hotspot, Sprint offers relatively high cap data plans to accommodate those people. I believe Sprint doesn't have an official plan for WiMax customer's yet. They know when they need to have a plan by though. They're looking at the options they have, because they know that's an income stream that can be positive if it can be utilized properly. Look at it this way, taking out the status of the network at this very second, even after all of the changes, Sprint will still offer the best value than all the other providers when it comes to data. They're just tired of having their network slammed when none of the other providers are allowing it to happen to them. So if those users aren't satisfied with the changes that Sprint are making, they have their own right to leave, but I think those users will find out Sprint still provides the best data for the best price.
  19. I'll take LTE over WiMax any day. The battery drain on my Evo 4G, Photon 4G and Epic Touch was outright ridiculous. A product that I had to turn off every second that I wasn't using it. You also have to consider this dedub, you experienced a stable WiMax on a network that Band 41 now runs on. Anytime I've been on Band 41 it has been EXTREMELY stable and speeds have been amazing. I've been on unloaded WiMax sites and have never been able to achieve what I've been getting on Band 41. WiMax was cool and fun, but it's time to move on to something that can bring us more. This question isn't directed at you per se, but why are so many people still in love with WiMax? Is it just the guaranteed unlimited home internet for $50? If Sprint currently offered Band 41 with unlimited home internet for $50 would it still be the same love for WiMax?
