  1. I hope they really are committed to it.. I can see it being easier and probably cheaper to manage than having a bunch of fiber and equipment in customers' houses. I have seen a number of posts about Time Warner and AT&T allowing you to stream to your mobile devices - not sure if that's only on your home WiFi or anywhere, but the thing is, with Google Fiber, you can't stream DVR content anywhere - even on your home WiFi from their network box! That's what's got Fiber TV customers unhappy. Other than that and the price, I love it! So I guess since YouTube TV is available here, I should give it a try. It seems more than competitive with Sling, and would cost far less than Fiber TV, which is over $70 on top of my fiber Internet fee with three tv boxes. I just noticed this was moved out of the Marcello thread. Good idea. [emoji3] Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
  2. Do you have notifications enabled for Tapatalk? I've always kept mine disabled. Partly because I don't want them, but partly because I didn't trust Tapatalk to be kind to the servers. Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
  3. That's so strange. I've never had an issue using Tapatalk on here. I'm using both the free and Pro versions on different devices (I tend to hold back on updates to Pro, as they like to mess it up from time to time..) Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
  4. I've been thinking of trying out youtube TV since I heard about it a while back. My worry is Google's reputation of killing off products at the drop of a hat. I'm a Google Fiber TV customer (which frankly I had reservations about for that exact reason), and while I love the package and DVR, they just raised the price, and the restrictions on playing back DVR content are maddening. It's ridiculous that they will allow YouTube TV DVR content to be streamed to your mobile devices but not your fiber TV DVR content. Their answer is "install an app for each network you want to stream" is a complete BS answer. That is NOT acceptable. Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
  5. Not yet. I wonder too. Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
  6. I haven't been having too many problems with Tapatalk.. Other than the recent and subscribed threads to be out of order, with some more recently updated threads showing way down the list. I'd hate to see it go away. I can hardly find my way around using the website. Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
  7. I played with one in the store a week or so ago. It felt very nice in hand, and it seemed very fast. I haven't been following the news on the phone to look for issues and real user feedback. I'll try to find the Reddit thread when I have a few minutes.
  8. Well, it's at least as capable as the 5X was on the same towers: Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
  9. "It's dead Jim! I'm a doctor not a cell phone repair tech!"
  10. Yeah, I thought so too. Kind of surprising considering how long 3XCA has been around. Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
  11. I found this. https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/wiki/deviceinfo?v=f9c16536-6f4b-11e7-b310-0e070ebee084#wiki_blackberry_devices Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
  12. I posted this in the Nexus 5X thread but was told it might be bad data. Have you ever seen ATT band 25 reported? I'm no longer in that area (Somerset KY area if it's not in the screenshot), so I can't attempt to recreate it. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  13. Here are the SCP screenshots for the LTE roaming I found. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  14. FYI for those interested.. I was in Kentucky last week, and roamed on a couple of different ATT LTE bands with my 5X while I was there. I'll have to check my screen shots, and hopefully SCP logs to confirm, but I think it was bands 2 and 17. Edit: looks like 2 and 25.. didn't realize they had LTE on band 25.. also found Bluegrass Cellular band 12.
  15. Yes. Can we get back to something on-topic now? ???? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  16. What kind of phone? It seems BYOP devices were or are having issues with signing up, but once you have registered on another device, they can sign in fine. I had to register on a G3 on a different line, and once the service showed up on the line in my Sprint, it signed in with an automatically generated account when I opened the app. I added an email and password to the account, then I signed in to that account on my N5 successfully after ignoring the something went wrong error message. Hopefully a tidal app update can fix the error, as not everyone will have a Sprint branded phone to register from, or may want to register for the trial on more than one line. I haven't checked, but I guess I'll probably have a problem, as the tidal service is not on my main line, and the one I added it with is a temporary line I'm going to cancel in the next few days.. hmm perhaps I should have thought about that first.
  17. It may well turn out that way, but that doesn't mean nobody should try. I happen to dislike Samsung and their blown out colors. Better is subjective. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. Alternatives are a good thing. Yay choice! Assuming the company doesn't go under and drop support, what is the downside? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  19. I've notice recently that my Ride-Fi hotspot does not like that Clearwire tower either, so it's definitely not isolated to my old 5X. But I know it's not just the tower, because the family's iPhones and my N5 don't have any problems with them. Shame SMS stops working several times a day on the N5, or I'd just keep using that.
