  1. I am intrigued by the Ride-Fi too.. I have seen dual wall/car chargers that had 12v "cigarette lighter" power ports in them, but not recently. I've got a big Black and Decker 12v brick I bought for my portable electric cooler I could use.. Haha what a kludge that would look like!
  2. I think I have around 10 Touchstones. My webOS collection is rather absurd.
  3. It's really a shame. When HP bought Palm, the hope for the future was high, and the Veer and Pre3 showed promise. Then the Mark Hurd ousting and replacement by IBM-wannabe Apothekar killed all our hopes. I have been an HP fan for a while (an uncle was an engineer there long ago when they were awesome), for good or bad, so it was hard to take.
  4. I think I want them to fail after what they did to my webOS. Leo!!!!!
  5. I've used them on other phones, but the ## versions don't work on my 5x, only the *#*# versions, and the order keeps tripping me up.
  6. Thanks. I'm sure glad you can paste those codes into the dialer. Of course that means I'll probably never memorize them.[emoji14]
  7. Just go to http://sprint.com/sww and select travel internationally, then enter a destination and pick a device. Or if this works, http://support.sprint.com/support/international/roaming/Paris%2C%20France/dvc9670001prd You can pick a new destination from there.
  8. What screen is that? I can't find it in the engineering screens.
  9. Thanks. Finally remembered I had an unused nano sim for Straight Talk. I activated it and popped it in the 5X and it worked without issue swapping either direction.
  10. I've got a question about sim card swapping. I wanted to compare the data speeds on my 5X between Sprint, ATT, and T-mobile at different spots around town. Also my sister-in-law lives in a horrible Sprint coverage hole near Neosho, so popping in a different sim while we are there would be awful handy. I know on gsm phones, swapping sims is no big deal. I just want to make sure that doing so wouldn't affect the Sprint CDMA activation, and that everything would still work normally after putting the Sprint sim back in. Has anyone here done this? I searched on here and did a Google search, but nothing I found gave me enough confidence to try it. On one forum, I found someone on a different carrier that had issues switching back to their CDMA carrier on a Nexus 5 (I believe it was in Canada).
  11. I've never seen reports of speeds that fast either. My fastest reported speed on LTE was a tick over 75, and that's nearly twice that! My fastest on WiFi was 199 down and 255 up (Google Fiber).
  12. And they think they can do a better drive test.. Sheesh.
  13. Thanks. I may have to take a drive sometime to try to find out. Any negative replies of inability to roam on LTE in a particular location? I don't recall seeing any when I read through this thread.
  14. Has anyone confirmed the 5X will be able to use the LTE roaming and LTE Roaming+ coverage? Since it's an unlocked device, I'd expect to be able to use all LTE roaming bands for carriers Sprint has agreements with (assuming device support.. I haven't spent much time reviewing the non-Sprint bands supported)
