  1. Those of you using the S5, since you can't set a band priority, I assume you stumble on B26 just by chance? I realize the network selects the band, but at least other devices you could set an initial priority. Would seem to be difficult to help the premier threads out finding B26 sites.
  2. I just drove through over the weekend doing some Sensorly mapping along Hwy 59. It isn't great, however I only have a single band LTE device. Could be better with 800 LTE. Keep in mind there's trees north of the city along 67 so the signal won't reach as far. Also as of last weekend the tower along Hwy 106 near Palmyra was not broadcasting LTE yet (despite being marked complete)
  3. Keep in mind if you were on 1x800 the data is only 1x Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  4. At the St. Fair on Sunday.. Morning. The tower serving the park is still 3G only. I have patience, other customers don't. There's no excuse for at least not bringing in a temp site to a high traffic event. Wonder how many S customers signed up with US Cell at their retail shop at the fair being frustrated. I'm not trying to rant.. But Sprint needs to look at their image at an event like this. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  5. Could Sprint have had better results by focusing on major cities and then working on the rest of the network? Which really is what T-Mobile did. Consumers won't realize Sprint is upgrading their entire network, and not really prioritizing an inner city. The "TM is so cool crowd" probably never drives an hour outside of a city to notice how bad TM coverage is outside of the major area. But maybe this strategy would have helped Sprint get backhaul in sooner?
  6. I would assume that Sprint would have an easier upgrade path to towers for 600MHz than other carriers with all new equipment?
  7. Wasn't there an announcement of some kind of 700MHz network? Maybe I'm getting announcements confused. lol
  8. They truly have an uphill battle when an article pops up like this: http://www.cnet.com/news/4g-lte-showdown-how-fast-is-your-carrier/ They tested in ONE LOCATION (and likely not on Spark B41 either) And the speed of downloading websites isn't that different.
  9. This network will be a new frequency that no current phones support, right?
  10. I know this is somewhat off topic, but is there are list of those markets somewhere?
  11. Well one possibility that did pop in my head was getting a S4 T on eBay and selling my Note II while it is still getting decent $$ to hold me over... http://www.sammobile.com/2014/06/20/samsung-galaxy-note-4-appears-in-benchmark-in-exynos-sm-n910c-and-snapdragon-sm-n910s-flavors/ Some rumors though list the 805 on the Note 4. I think I'll hold tight for a month and see. I was even going to add to my first post saying what about T-Mobile bands with a merge offer.. don't have to think about that now
  12. Best news all day! Focus on your own network! Sprint buying up US Cellular would make more sense. Do they have any needed spectrum? (That's for another thread..) Down 16% right now in after hours trading.
  13. I have a Note II and qualify for an upgrade. My natural upgrade path would be get the Note 4 in September. However, phone radio-wise it sounds like it will be the same as other tri-band phones now. So is it worth waiting until newer chipset phones come out that would support carrier aggregation? Also phones that could support the rural band 12 700MHz coming next year, too? I know the saying, something always new can come out. Have a hard time committing 2 years to a headset not supporting the latest network technology though. I can hope the Nexus 6 (assuming that is coming) supports at least aggregation and save having to do a contract. Anyone else facing the same issue? Really, if it wasn't for my phone being single-band only I wouldn't upgrade at all.
  14. Has Sprint ever used temp sites for events in WI? Even Iowa St. Fair has a Sprint temp site... we can beat Iowa!
  15. I realize that part of it might take be backend bandwidth but you'd think Sprint would really try to prioritize those sites for a large event. Or even bring in a temp tower? Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk
  16. How can mushrooms be acceptable for 'meat' in a gyro? #CutthroatKitchen

  17. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzMUTrTYD9s GREAT ad!
  18. I wonder if a device like the Note 4 will have support for the carrier aggression, or if we'll have to wait longer. EDIT: aggregation
  19. Yes it is! The tower a little east at the park is live, too. The other Delafield tower west is NOT.
  20. Anyone get the PRL Edit mod working on 4.4?

Oh gosh, that phone was horrible memory wise! Even with moving apps to SD!
  22. 2nd carrier in Schaumburg. 10.3 mbps speed test. I thought that was a pretty good speed test. Can't compare because I live North of the border, but I would imagine the Woodfield Mall/IKEA area is somewhat demanding on the network. Unfortunately I have one of those ancient single band phones (Note II) so I can't comment on B26/41 Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  23. Sorry for the probably obvious answer question. How do you tell in the SignalCheck window if you are on the 2nd (USCC) carrier?
  24. Once a tower has been upgraded, does CSFB generally work reliably? It makes me a little nervous to think I'm relying on the data network to get a call or a text if I have low signal. At my condo, LTE cuts in/out (though maybe that would be less likely on B26). I currently have a Note II so don't have personal experience, but thinking about how this works when the time to upgrade comes in the fall.
