Unfortunately, it's overly generous for their own coverage (as all carriers' maps are) and is lacking quite a bit on the other carriers' maps. You can see they literally have a dot for every verizon tower when you look in areas like Montana and Wyoming, but then entire states like Kentucky, South Carolina, New York, and Nevada are left blank with sprint despite having the same or better coverage than AT&T in some of the cities in those states. There are also areas they filled in in their own map that I know from living in the area that they don't have LTE coverage. And I really don't believe they have that much LTE in the Dakotas, Nebraska, and Kansas...there really have to be some LTE dead spots somewhere in the Dakotas.
So like all carriers' maps, it needs to be taken with a very large grain of salt.
I have to agree 100%, I was working with a large County IT department in Michigan on a project and we got talking about their migration from Sprint to Verizon. Sprint wouldn't even talk to them about coverage gaps, so they are moving to VZW. They had been taking VZW engineers all over the county to dead/weak spots for 1X, EVDO/eHRPD, & LTE.

Is there a difference between 55016 and 54016? One is corporate liable and the other is individual liable?
Would Sprint see that I used the corporate one, and if they did does that present a problem since I'm not actually roaming?
Thanks
Corp has 1X and EVDO roaming
Individual has 1X romaing

Odd one this morning, I was using my phone and the PRL automatically updated, overwriting the custom on from digi with 2006. I used PRLWrite to put the custom PRL back on, however, I thought that this auto update was stripped out of this ROM

As stated, the LTE site you are connecting to is setting the system clock for you. Go into your Date/Time settings and change from network managed and set it yourself.

It better have a radio fix for the supposed SMR issues.

I used to be a big RDF watcher for leaks, but not as much any longer. However, I decided to take a look for the L900 today and got all kinds of crazy errors. Looks like the recent RDFs are encrypted, so I ventured to the XDA thread and speculation is 4.3 coming very soon to the Note 2 on Sprint.
MJ5 is that last build RDF that is readable. MJ6 and MJ7 are encrypted.

Posts since 10/16 have what people have found.
Edit in: SamMobile says 11/20

No, that's the signal strength from the diversity antenna, just a second signal path (usually rx only) from the same site.
What about the neighbor Set on the 1x Engineering-PROTOCOL screen?
-
That is almost certainly CDMA1X "cell breathing." If you had soft handoff to another site, you would be probably be fine. But you live on the edge of Sprint coverage, so you just made a poor choice of where to live.
AJ
Question about this cell breathing... Is there anything I can look for in the engineering screens for 1x to see the neighboring cells that I might hands off to? I sometimes see 2nd RSSI, is that the potential hand off site?

Tap and hold on your home screen and pick the option to add a Shortcut
This is the only part of the instructions I had trouble with. I had to long press the screen, then pick Apps and Widgets, then scroll to the Widgets and pick Scripts with the SL4A icon. Then I was able to select the debug.sh that was created in the app.
I just recently switched back to Stock, so I'm not sure if the "Shortcuts" label is from a different launcher.

I have tried a bunch of apps for email and I'm not happy with them k-9 aqua etc for my live.com account. So I've been trying to get stock email to work. I've put secExchange.apk in the app folder and still nothing it just spins it wheel and nothing. Any suggestion?

Make sure permissions are correct and it is in the system/app folder.
I just figured it out I had the ROM on internal and external drive for some reason and I kept loading the internal one which didn't have the sec exchange.apk file durrr. Reloaded and boom it worked imagine that. Thanks though digiblur!

Holy crap, I've been fighting with Exchange for 20hrs trying to get my email back up and running. Then I remembered that digi ripped a ton of apk's out. Tossed SecExchange.apk back into /system/app, fix permission, reboot and magically email works now

Sounds about right. I usually take the shortcut on TWRP and just install GooManager. But I guess if you're not booting up the Stock Rooted then it's pointless.
When I did the one click, I didn't even sign in to my Google account. I configured nothing because I was going to be wiping again. It was Odin or adb shell and do the dd

I ended up having to Odin a stock rooted one click, copy the rom zip, then Odin TWRP, then factory reset/wipe system from recovery, finally install the rom.

I'm running command prompt as administrator

Did you flash the "downgrade" zip?
Edit: Wait Nevermind, you're not that far yet.
Try pushing another ROM, just to see if your phone will allow you to do that.
i just created the simplest test.txt and still got the permission denied
I don't need the downgrade zip, I wiped my entire internal storage, the SDCard structure will get recreated when the ROM is flashed.

I'm hoping that someone can help me out...
I'm reverting from CM10.1 (4.2.2) to Digi's Stock based ROM. I backed up my internal storage, then wiped everything to have a fresh start. For some odd reason, I'm now getting a permission denied when trying to ADB push the ROMs zip install file to the internal storage. I'm running TWRP 2.6.3.0, I've tried pushing to data/media and to /SDCard and always get permission denied. I've tried pushing to the TWRP folder in that location too. I've tried doing chmod 755 and 755 to the TWRP folder, but still can't get a copy to complete.
If I try to run ADB shell, I get - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -
I've tried adb root too to run adb as root, but that made no difference
I'm dead in the water as my MicroSD is at the office.

I get all the time in Lansing LTE(Verizon) because my parking ramp has a Verizon site on the roof. It takes my until the end of the street to pick up Sprint 1X again.

We've got some 800/SMR service in the Lansing area. I'm actually in Charlotte right now.

Now, Sprint did get an average of 7MHz+7MHz of SMR, 5+5MHz of PCS G and quite a bit of BRS spectrum from Nextel. They had to pay approximately $5B and lost all of the market value of Nextel. Was it worth it? I would say no.
I thought Nextel was $25B

I wonder if the city is in anyway holding up this site. Otherwise, what possibly could be the problem?
my only thought is that Sprint is using at&t and they need to extend their fiber

I had the SCP 4900 and then the SCP 8300. Both RF champs with the pull out antenna. It was funny for a while to watch all the AT&T and Cingular and Nextel people have to to outside my home to make phone calls since they were all spaced for 800MHz AMPS/TDMA. Of course they stopped building their network after they colocated with Nextel and the other carriers caught up. Those were the golden years for Sprint. I would have liked to have seen what would have had happened if they had merged with Alltel/other regionals instead of Nextel.
Oh how I wish it would have been Alltel. Alltel actually tried to buy Sprint back in the day, but got rebuffed...

Is there a map I can look at to see what markets has 600 in it?
You'd need to query the FCC DB for TV broadcasters and see who has TV channels in the 600Mhz range.
While it is wikipedia, looks like UHF Channels 32 - 52 to cover anything in the 600Mhz range

RRUs can be software upgraded and antennas are compatible. 10-20 mhz out of spec is no bigger for any antenna.
I seem to remember arguing this point with AJ or Robert months back and got whacked saying that the existing equipment could not be used for H Block.
-
If Sprint also purchased H-Block of PCS, it'll also increase capacity. But with the site density and 2600 active, Sprint's network will be hard to beat. Not to mention, the speeds should also outperform the competition.
They need new equipment for HBlock. No phones, antennas, RRUs, or Band exists for H Block.

Verizon S4 getting knox
in General Topics
Posted
From the leaks, all the Samsung devices getting 4.3 this fall are getting Knox, GS3, GN2, GS Mini/Active, etc.
My question, what if you already have a custom recovery, etc? Can't a ROM Dev just take the stock rom, strip all that crap out and just install the modified stock OS from the existing custom recovery?
