    Totally agree man. Yes SoCal badly needs B26 LTE as well as BC10 CDMA. I know some areas have BC10 CDMA but its just rare and totally random when you connect to 1x800. Tmobile probably has better indoor/outdoor coverage now in SoCal since they have been actively deploying B12 LTE all over LA/OC counties.

    Yeah I read that it could be a possibility but at this point we have no idea how much 800 MHz spectrum has been cleared to launch anything. It seems like what is holding the effort is Mexico needs to reband first in order for SB county public safety to start to reband. Ultimately we need SB county to reband entirely before LA/OC county can start to deploy 800 MHz LTE. So that tells me that there is no way that even 3x3 MHz has been cleared to even deploy 3x3 LTE in San Diego.

    That would be nice but unfortunately the last time Sprint tried to do something like this, the other carriers ran with it and poked holes in its lack of coverage areas in its commercials. I think its best to just stay under the radar. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

    Arizona has a long way to go so does Southern California. 800 MHz LTE and CDMA seems like a pipe dream at this point.

    I saw that video. I think the whole point of wanting a phone with IP67 or IP68 certification is in case you drop your phone and is temporarily submerged in water (ex: you drop it in the pool by accident) and is not totally lost. Also the Note 7, GS7 and iPhone 7 don't have rubber covers on the port ends to protect it from water damage so I don't think that is a problem anymore.

    I can't believe Google kept the Pixel phones with only IP 53 rating instead of demanding at least IP 67 like the iPhone 7 or IP 68 like the GS7. Since HTC made the Pixel phones, I am not surprised that the phones are only IP 53 rating. Such a fail on their part.

    I think the progress is ok although I would have expected a bit higher in terms of initial coverage. Obviously 2.5 GHz small cells will help fill in the gaps and provide more capacity which will improve the B41 usability numbers. I guess considering that Sprint was not able to fully shut down Wimax until the end of Q1 2016 in order to start deploying 2xCA B41 LTE its pretty good progress. Hopefully Sprint doesn't let the gas off the pedal and hopefully their cost cutting measures are starting to pay off.

    No way is Sprint even close to being #1 or #2 by May 2017. They are still many holes in their LTE network and even though it gets better day by day, I just seriously doubt that they are deploying small cells fast enough to add capacity and coverage around the country to surpass Verizon or ATT. Heck they can't even deploy B26 in the SB county/Mexico IBEZ and Canadian IBEZ zones yet so there are still plenty of markets that do not have access to LTE 800 and CDMA 800. I think its gonna take another 2 years when more and more small cells get deployed and adding 3xCA LTE carriers to compete with LTE coverage and performance.

    Probably. Don't expect to be needing it for quite a while though.

    I haven't been traveled out to DTLA or West LA to notice any Mobilitie sites. Hopefully they start expanding those Mobilitie sites to the OC and eastern parts of LA county (like past the 605 FWY).

    For sure Sprint is motivated to get B26 rolled out in So Cal and Arizona areas but again it is beyond their control right now which is why they put out that timeline wayyyyyyyyyy out in the future. I think its a culmunation of SB county and IBEZ contributing to this issues. After SB county is cleared they should be allowed to deploy B26 LTE in areas outside of the IBEZ. The IBEZ should not have any affect in those areas and should not be a good enough excuse not to deploy it. The Sprint coverage is not sufficient enough in LA Metro/OC counties without LTE 800 and CDMA 800. There are still way too many gaps with no LTE coverage despite the growing number of B41 sites. LAX is a perfect example where Sprint needs to put a major effort into adding capacity there. Verizon/Tmobile/ATT have added macro sites in the parking lots of LAX and coverage has significantly improved. I don't believe Sprint has any macro sites in the parking lots of LAX.

    Part of me thinks that they dont want to give an exact timeline especially when its something they dont have control of despite any hard deadlines or agreements. We know how unreliable SB county has been in sticking with their dates thus far. I think giving themselves a huge runway is easier than to promise a certain date and then not being able to fulfill it. Since when has Sprint or any other carrier provided exact dates or timelines? Sprint seems to get crucified the most if they slip at all in any announcements whereas other carriers get more forgiveness. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

    Hmm so that sounds like even upgrading your phone with a new 2 year contract will put you up to the new SERO. I will have to find out in 2017 when my contract ends.

    Looks like Tmobile beat all the major carriers to the punch with 4x4 MIMO and 256 QAM. I wonder how long it will take for Sprint and the other carriers to respond to this.
