  1. That is not the question. The question is more of whether Sprint, Tmo and ATT will be allowed to sell the Nexus 5 through their corporate stores unlocked. There is no doubt that the Nexus 5 will be sold through the Google Play store unlocked.
  2. A word of caution that this workaround to not trigger the Knox flag is only for the initial root. Flashing a custom recovery and/or custom Rom after this root workaround still triggers the Knox flag to increase as listed in the FAQ. Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  3. At $50..that is a no brainer. Glad you did it. We need to show LG that customers will support their phones if they make a good one and the LG G2 is an example. Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  4. CDMA 800 and LTE 800 are going to be deployed nationwide where ever it can be installed. Sprint is not trying to rely on roaming agreements anymore and this was made publicly by the Sprint network executive at their Q2 CC. Even Sprint's 1x roaming agreement with Alltel (now Verizon) ends in July 2016 so Sprint has to prepare as if Verizon is not going to renew their roaming contract with Sprint in 2016 and needs to have the groundwork in place and deployed now to help bridge the gap of the lost roaming coverage. Besides Sprint is trying to curb the amount of roaming charges it has to pay to Verizon. Roaming with Verizon is not to be relied on for the distant future. Also LTE 800 will perform much better than EVDO 1900 and it is not just a little. Don't kid yourself because Verizon and ATT run LTE 700 and I see their coverage expand indoors much more effectively than EVDO 1900 ever could. LTE 700 vs. LTE 800 is not much difference.
  5. This term and condition I believe has only appeared beginning with the My Way plans. Perhaps the Everything Data, EPRP and SERO plans are as well but I have not heard anything about this before the My Way plans.
  6. Yeah I guess. Since the phone has a non-removable battery and no SD card, I won't see myself needing to take the phone out of the case very often that could help trigger that issue.
  7. I am getting the Spigen Slim Armor Case in white because to me that is enough protection for me especially since I am also putting on a screen protector. I just think putting on an Otterbox case is nuts because of how fat it makes the device look.
  8. Ehh...it looks ok. I wish the 7 minute video did some camera shots and video recording to show the camera sensor and OIS. No IR blaster either.
  9. I think you have to be insane to not use cases and screen protectors on your smartphones especially with so many things that can happen to it. I know some people love that "naked" feel but its just not worth it in my opinion. Another reason why to use cases is in case you want to sell the phone in very good condition instead of having accidental scratches and bumps that are bound to happen if you don't use a case.
  10. I think only the ATT model has that. I don't believe the Tmobile or Sprint model has the noise cancellation mic next to back camera.
  11. Something is wrong with the EPRP. You don't seem to get a discount if you add more than 1 line. Its like they charge $50 per line regardless of how many you add. It should be discounting the 2nd line to $40, 3rd line to $30, and lines 4-10 should be $20. Although the unlimited data add on is cheaper at $20, it still doesn't make sense.
  12. Ehhh I guess with 2G EDGE global roaming. I mean anything is better than nothing but to seem i am blown away..I am not. Its not like unlimited youtube watching global wide. At most some very light browsing or email. Also you still have to pay for voice roaming and I am not sure what they mean by unlimited text though. How do I text my friend when I am in Germany to someone in the US? Does it just route through German Tmobile towers and across the ocean to Tmobile towers in the US?
  13. +1 on that. I rarely buy anything at Best Buy. Amazon is so much better.
  14. Wow noticed that too. I wonder if you can still use employee discounts with this plan now.
  15. I have SERO as well so we are both in the same boat. I wish I could pre order like the rest of the other folks but I know Best Buy's systems won't know how to handle SERO plans. Heck even in person I hear its kind of a hassle to do it at Best Buy. I just would rather forgo the discounted price and upgrade at a Sprint corporate store to be safe. You can preorder the G2 via Sprint telesales 888-882-4030 for SERO customers. A guy on XDA said he did it and was able to preorder the G2 quick and painless. But you won't be able to take advantage of the Best Buy deal. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46391760&postcount=26
  16. I checked eprp this morning and I don't see the plans anymore. Maybe it was removed today. Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  17. In case anyone is still in doubt about the phone being triband, LG has released the specs for the Sprint LG G2. If you click the link below and go to the "Technical Specifications" tab and expand "Specifications", under "Transmission" it says LTE bands 25/26/41. http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-LS980-White-g2
  18. Look at post #857 in this thread. There is a link to download the user manual. It has WiFi...trust me. Just look at the screenshots a few pages back. Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  19. Dammit. It got fixed!!!! Grammar police is out and about.
  20. Nope!! The G2 is LG's take on what a high end smartphone with its customized UI skin and Nexus 5 is Google's take on a smartphone with stock Android. The N5 is not based on the G2 despite public opinion. The specs are not the same as you pointed out. Sure in some cases they are small differences (ex: 5.2 in on G2 vs. 4.96 in on N5) but the shape and the build material are not the same. Camera sensor is different (13 MP w/OIS G2 vs. 8 MP possibly with OIS N5), battery (3000 maH G2 vs. 2300 maH N5 ..highly doubt the 32 GB N5 will have 3000 maH battery), IR blaster (G2 confirmed and N5 probably not..no rumors have it included as hardware), screen (both are IPS display but not sure if G2 and N5 are of the same IPS display quality. I would expect G2's IPS display to be higher quality since its for their flagship phone). Software (G2 runs Android 4.2.2 with LG skin and N5 runs stock Android with latest and greatest updates)
  21. Oh no I wasn't worried about the lack of Wifi. I was just pointing out the small details that Sprint didn't get right as if they rushed this pre order page was rushed out.
  22. If u are grandfathered in you should still be able to upgrade on Sero premium Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
