  1. Drop drop drop. You want it to be a bad quarter so that people hate the stock with a passion and sell sell sell. Then you scoop up the shares on the cheap.
  2. If Charlie wants to tango with Lightsquared...then by all means he has the right to. I just hope he doesn't try to get involve with Tmobile. I don't want any wireless carrier teaming up with Dish Network. I like the direction that Tmobile is going right now with John Legere and the way they are shaking up the wireless industry with these new plans and device upgrade policies. A tie up with Charlie will spell disaster.
  3. Dude stop placing multiple orders. You are going to ruin it for the rest of us.
  4. Why are you surprised? I assume you are talking University City in Missouri. When the internal memo said that only 8 markets have been launched with Clearwire LTE, I would assume that it is going to be those 8 markets for now. Also we don't know right now if Clearwire will be allowing folks to connect to the TD-LTE as soon as they are finished with each of the intended towers like Sprint allows customers to connect to the LTE as soon as a Network Vision site is LTE complete. Clearwire could be blocking off users and waiting until a market has all their TD-LTE sites complete before allowing users to use it. There must be other markets that are in progress of TD-LTE upgrades and I have only heard of Dallas being one in progress.
  5. I am not saying that the triband LTE capability is the main selling point but rather a great incentive to buy it for those in the know. I don't really expect the public to know whether it has triband LTE capability but maybe the Sprint CSRs could be told to advertise the triband LTE frequency band capabilities of the phone. The phone itself has some exciting rumored specs and are a great selling point IMO: Snapdragon S800 processor, 2 GB RAM, 5 or 5.2 in screen, 1080p screen, Android 4.2.2, triband LTE capability, 13 MP camera, etc. The Snapdragon S800 processor chip itself tops the current Galaxy S4 and HTC One smartphones.
  6. I agree with you in that in the past LG was known as a lower/mid tier phone maker for Sprint phones and other carriers as well. However I think with the launch of the LG Optimus G in Fall 2012 was a big stepping stone in trying to make their presence known in the high end smartphone arena to challenge the HTC One X and Galaxy S3 high end smartphones. LG quickly followed up with the launch of the LG Optimus G Pro in Spring 2013 to challenge the Galaxy Note 2 which I think the Optimus G Pro is a great phablet and is aggressively priced on ATT. Unfortunately for the first year, I think LG wanted to test out their phablet on one carrier to see the demand. I expect the LG Optimus G Pro 2 to launch on all carriers in Sprint 2014. With the pending launch of the LG Optimus G 2 this Fall you can see that LG's strategy has completely change and they want to be known as a high end smartphone manufacturer. Since this Optimus G 2 smartphone could be the only high end smartphone launched this Fall on Sprint with triband LTE and around 5 inch screen size (triband GS4 has not been confirmed yet), I can see Sprint customers who have upgrades to use this Fall jump on the Optimus G 2 due to the triband LTE capabilities.
  7. I was thinking of making a 2nd order but after hearing your story, I might just stick to one. If I were to make a 2nd order and it got approved, I would have just used it to give to someone else here that wasn't able to get one.
  8. So are you saying all your orders got cancelled or just your 2nd and 3rd orders did? Maybe they cancelled your orders due to multiple entries?
  9. Yeah I got the email from Wirefly saying that it is temporarily OOS. But it got approved. I wonder how long the delay will be.
  10. I assume the deployment is in small cells. I know they have pico antennas at 1900 in testing but not sure about 800. Im pretty sure 2500 will have a pico antenna made but not sure if it will be deployed. Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  11. I thought clearwire LTE is using 3:2 downlink to uplink ratio for timeslots Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  12. I guess you are technically correct in that if you are connected to LTE via band 41, I think you should be able to call and use data at the same time. I could be wrong though but good point.
  13. Hold up. Isn't this phone the LG Optimus G 2 and NOT the LG Optimus G Pro. These are 2 completely different devices. The LG Optimus G Pro is a Galaxy Note like device and the LG Optimus G 2 is a Galaxy S4 like device. Based on the dimensions of the phone and the rumors of a 5.2 inch display, this doesn't fit the description of the LG Optimus G Pro which has a 5.5 inch display. I think this FCC filing is for the LG Optimus G 2. Shame on Engadget for not getting this right.
  14. Lucky duck. That link that was posted didn't work. It sends me to a Galaxy S3 product page for Verizon wireless.
  15. Actually I looked at the Samsung 800 RRU specs and they only support 3 and 5 MHz LTE bandwidths. So I don't think they will deploy 1.4 MHz LTE carriers. The 800 RRU can support 2 LTE carriers and I would love to see Sprint deploy two 3x3 LTE carriers rather than just one 5x5 LTE carrier. I assume the Ericcson and ALU 800 RRUs have similar specs to only support 3 and 5 MHz LTE bandwidths. Too bad I don't have the document in front of me. I know Lilotimz has a copy and I saw it yesterday.
  16. WCDMA+ isn't coming until 2016 according to their presentation. I don't think Qualcomm has any chipsets ready for commercial deployment yet. I am thinking we won't see chipsets until spring 2016 or best case maybe 2015.
  17. Actually I think you are right. The Samsung devices have the option to switch modes for sure but I think I noticed the HTC One does NOT have the option to switch modes. I remember the HTC EVO 4G LTE did have that option however. But the pro version of your app gives you access under System Shortcuts for "Mobile Networks" to change the modes.
  18. I can't comment about WCDMA+ voice coverage at this point since it hasn't been released yet. but if its going to be released in 2016, is it worth spending all the capital to deploy WCDMA+ when everyone is moving to LTE worldwide? When VoLTE is going to improve every year. The whole point of keeping HSPA+ around is to support legacy devices in the future. But if you take a look at Verizon and ATT LTE at 700 MHz, would you say that it has better coverage indoors than WCDMA/HSPA+ on AWS/PCS spectrum? I would say yes or else Tmobile would not have a poor reputation for deep indoor coverage. I am going on a limb and going to say that 600 MHz LTE will have better coverage than WCDMA+ at PCS.
  19. Because HSPA+ 42 uses 20 MHz of spectrum (10x10 carrier) with a peak of 42 Mbps. There are some markets out there that can really use that extra 10 MHz (5x5 MHz) in AWS spectrum to deploy a 10x10 LTE carrier instead of settling for a 5x5 LTE carrier. A 10x10 LTE carrier has a peak of 73 Mbps which is almost double of HSPA+ 42 peak which is more spectral efficient speed wise in my opinion. Since not all Tmobile devices support PCS HSPA+ data, Tmobile has to keep a HSPA+ carrier in AWS spectrum for now but they should reduce it to HSPA+ 21 to give more spectrum to LTE. If HSPA+ data is entirely on PCS spectrum nationwide then its fine that they deploy HSPA+ 42 but that is not the case. Tmobile is still in the process of refarming PCS spectrum for HSPA+ data but who knows far they are in that effort. I assume Tmobile towers upgraded to LTE thus far have HSPA+ data refarmed to PCS spectrum.
  20. If Tmobile is smart they would focus only on LTE at this point. Tmobile is already behind the other major carriers in the LTE game and they really need to catch up and LTE will be the default technology of choice among all US carriers. According to the Qualcomm presentation, WCDMA+ won't be available until 2016 which by then VoLTE should be at the stages of beginning of mass deployment after all the carriers deploy LTE Advanced capable networks. WCDMA+ seems to be an improvement on reducing resources for voice to free up resources for HSPA+ data and some improvements for HD voice. WCDMA+ looks to have similar benefits as 1x Advanced in that it uses less spectrum resources for voice and increases voice capacity while freeing up these extra resources for data. I think its a waste if Tmobile intends to keep HSPA+ alive. ATT seems to be going all in on LTE now. ATT didn't even bother to waste spectrum resources on deploying DC-HSPA+.
  21. Wouldn't it just be more simple to change the Network Mode on the phone from LTE/EVDO/CDMA to EVDO/CDMA in the Android settings( Settings->Wireless-> Mobile Networks-> EVDO/CDMA) to disable LTE searching.
  22. Now you should fly out to LA to test out the Band 41 to Band 25 LTE handoff test!! I would be curious to how extensive they have 2.5 TD-LTE in LA.
  23. Looking at the completed maps, times square and lower manhattan need a lot of help for LTE deployment. The backhaul deployment needs to speed up to get LTE launched. Hopefully 800 LTE and cdma launches are starting up if the vendors have to go back to these NV completed 3g sites to launch 800 and 1900 LTE and 800 cdma. I dont think nyc will be announced by sprint until december. Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
