  1.

Morning, it appears Northern Spring Hill, KS / Extreme southern Olathe, KS is on NID 308.

Thanks for the report, but this is largely a fait accompli now. Since the rural western portions of SID 4139 have now gone NID 308, even the rural northern portions of SID 4198 have now gone NID 308, there is little doubt that Sprint's entire Kansas market is going NID 308. No matter what, Spring Hill would have followed along. The only real question mark remaining is whether the Wichita metro will also be consolidated into NID 308.

My brother lives close to down town in Wichita and I just had him check. He is showing 308

  2. I've seen this a couple of times as well when I loose lose 4G. When you have this happen to you again, pull up the debug and you can still see it reporting an RSRP value, but you are not actually connected to LTE. Eventually it will go away.

  3. If you get the roaming issue sorted out and are still looking for a way to update the PRL, the easiest thing to do is modify the line "ro.build.type" in your build.prop from user to dev, save and reboot.

That will allow the dialer code ##778# to respond and from there you can install PRLs via the phone rather than relying on a PC and QPST.

  4. your telling me, i just bricked my evo lte and have no idea how to get it back. it powers on, goes to bootloader, and i can get into the twrp bootloader but thats it. nothing loads

Can you manually put a new ROM on to your SD card and flash that via TWRP?

Also, are you S-OFF? If so there is a decrypted 3.15 RUU zip somewhere on XDA. All you need to do is download that and rename it to PJ75IMG.zip and put it on to your SD card. Then boot back into bootloader and run that update.

  5. Speak of the devil, LTE just turned back on but the signal fluctuates from full to one bar and vice versa. I'm gonna check out this site since it is down the road from me

What a tease, back to 3G

You'll need to check out your RSRP values rather than relying on the signal bars.

This same thing has happened to me. My serving site for when I'm at work had been active with LTE for about a month now, but for the past week I haven't been able to get LTE.

  6. Which AJ post?

S4GRU readers, want to see your name up in lights? Here is your chance...

The Nextel iDEN countdown clock is up on the front page of The Forums.

    http://s4gru.com/index.php?/index

As a fundraiser for non profit S4GRU, you can claim "naming rights" to the iDEN countdown clock for a day for a $5 donation. I have already made my claim on the first three days through the end of this workweek. Now, who will step up to the plate and meet my challenge to keep the sponsorship going?

Celebrate the shutdown of iDEN. Show your support for CDMA1X 800 and LTE 800. And, of course, see your name get recognized by thousands of other readers around the country.

Just make a $5 PayPal donation, put "iDEN countdown" in the message, and the clock is yours for a day.

  7. So what settings do I need to have to connect to lte? I'm in an area with it and have not had much luck.

Under Settings then mobile data, the network mode needs to be set to LTE/CDMA.
  8. If/when the EVO LTE gets the new update, do you guys think they will add sense 5? If so do you guys think it will be a lesser version how the EVO 3d got a lesser version than the EVO LTE?

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed the EVO LTE will get Sense 5.
  9. Got the ONE over the weekend. Love it so far except. I only have 3G signal where I work and the ONE can not keep hold of the 3G signal inside the building. If I go outside I have no issues. The bad thing about this is that my old HTC EVO 4G held a signal in the building. The LTE works great at my house. Anyone have any ideas. Hope I don't have to return it. 2 other people at work have sprint and can keep a signal (galaxy nexus and older blackberry).

Old HTC EVO, not the EVO 4G LTE, correct? If so, those are different technologies. You'll need to look at your RSRP values to see what you are getting before you enter the building. Sounds like you might be on the fringe of an LTE signal and once you go inside, it is lost.
