Cool do i already have the radio version i need or no?
No you still have the radio from the 1.31 update. Are you familiar with command line and fastboot?
-
yup you are already s-off :-)When my hboot screen comes up it shows
****Unlocked***
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-SPCS_001
HBOOT-1.44.0000
RADIO-1.00.20.0626
Does that mean I already have S-OFF?

Well how do i get S-Off on this device?
You'll need to change the mainver in order to run the 1.29 RUU.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2390821
Once you down grade to the 1.29 RUU you can then run Moonshine or Revone to S-OFF. I used Revone and it was super easy. S-OFF'd in like a couple of minutes

Well I unlocked the bootloader using HTCDev site. Will this not work?
It might. I can't remember if HTC removed the ability to flash radios via recovery (while S-ON unlocked) or not.
This thread popped up today. Not for sure if it requires S-OFF or not.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406330
If you are on XDA you might ask the OP if it will work with S-ON unlocked or not.

What do I need to do to to get to an older version of the radio? I am completely stock with 1.31.651.2. I am having the same problem as leerage. LTE drops off waaaay before it should....even my GNex got better reception than this thing.
You would need to be S-OFF in order to downgrade the radio.
-
It's there anyway to see if you're on 1x 800 without having the pro version of signal check? I currently have no plastic to pay with but I wanted to see if I pick it up anywhere.
Grab a google play card from wally world and redeem that to your account. The pro version is definitely worth it!

I just downgraded to radio 1.00.20.0315 via fastboot so we will see how it goes.

Has anyone noticed any side effects to LTE performance and connectivity with the 1.31 update. Here lately it seems like when I lose LTE connectivity and I'm in a spot I know I should be picking it up, it doesn't. For instance at work I can go deep within the building and lose LTE which is normal, but when I'm at my desk I usually have a good -100 signal but it won't switch back. I've sat here for the last 45min and it hasn't switched to LTE.
I'm starting to twitch a bit and having flash blacks of my EVO LTE.

You forgot to mention that there will be 2 variants of the Note 3 phone. From the link you posted the US version should be the SM-N9005 given the unknown CPU/GPU (pretty obvious its going to be Snapdragon 800) and the LTE connectivity capability. The Exynos processor is only for the SM-900 model and doesn't support LTE.
The most disappointing part of these specs that I am not to keen on is the 3200 maH battery.... . I was really hoping to see a 3500 maH battery to account for the slight increase in screen size. I guess maybe the trade off is a little more slimness to the phone instead of making it a larger battery device. This probably leads me to believe that the dimensions of the Note 3 are going to be similar to the Note 2 in terms of width and height but the depth (thickness) of the phone will be reduced by several mm.
I am glad to hear that it will have the latest Android 4.3 software, micro SD card support and most likely removable battery. Thanks for the link.
About the core thing, you do know that only 4 cores will be active any time. Four of the cores are used for heavy tasks (video, gaming, etc) and the other four cores are low power that are used for (email, web browsing, texting).
There is also this rumor that it will come with a 3,450mAh battery that ran today so I guess it is still up in the air

I'm currently in Sunnyville and SignalCheckPro showed this.
The voice part means that I'm picking up 800MHz, right?
What do my screenshots say about my 4G LTE connection?
Yes, you are picking up CDMA 1X 800.
-
Shit, for all your complaints, why are you with Sprint? I haven't read all your posts, but everything is negative thus far.
If you worry about the "social stigma" of your wireless carrier then I think I'm done trying to educate you with facts. I look to my service providers for service, not social status.

He could always go this route:

Was heading down 315 today when the 4g icon popped up on my phone..it was gone in about a minute but still managed to get a speed test...1.36 up and 0.24 down..anybody else had this happen?
You must of caught a week signal and then lost it. Run sensorly next time to map it.
-
I'm guessing that this will have tri-band LTE as well?
It would be a shame if it didn't.
-
Any word on processor yet? Hoping for 8-core.
Probably Snapdragon 800 for the US and Exynos 5420 else where.
-
It might depend on the vendor who already has backhaul there. If they can support the new capacity that is being requested, probably not a lot of visible work will be done. If they have to run new fiber, you'll see a lot of ground dug up.
-
Take a look at what your RSRP levels are. The bars are for voice and don't represent LTE. (Unless you're on an iPhone 5. Sorry I can't tell through tapatalk.)I've been consistently beating my friend at work, we both get two bars (sometimes 3 for me) of LTE inside and he gets a max of around 8Mbps and I can get anywhere from 8-18Mbps, he's on Verizon.

Yes, they are. But that doesn't mean since you receive 1X you will always get EVDO. Its just like with LTE. LTE requires a more robust signal to work so that's why it seems like it doesn't travel as far.isn't 1X and EVDO 3G same frequency?

No this does not mean network vision. You can be in locations where EVDO cannot reach where 1X can.

Sounds good, can't wait to get my hands on a triband phone.
Isn't it just Sprint now, not Sprintwire LOL since Clearwire technically doesn't exist anymore.

Did anybody pull a copy of the update?
-
When 800Mhz LTE turns on later this year, that map should balloon shortly afterwards.
That probably depends on how many people want to shell out money for a tri-band LTE device. A lot of people are locked into a two year contract with their current device that supports 1900 LTE only.
-
Yeah that's pretty much how it's been. EVDO has been useless for the most part. You sound just like my experience where my wife's S3 was dead since EVDO was flooded. I had 800SMR to play with for my data usage. Except when I was there there weren't any LTE sites.

I'm in Vegas for vacation and as soon as I landed and I've been picking up CDMA 1X 800. I'm on digiblurs custom PRL. My wife on a stock GS3 and stock PRL can't pick it up for some reason. I went ahead and updated PRL to stock and then couldn't pick it up. Reverted back to custom PRL and I've got it again.

Download this rar and extract it out to a folder. it should be all you need.
Click the cmd icon and that will open up a command window. Reboot your phone into bootloader and connect it to your PC. Make sure on your phone says FASTBOOT USB.
Next type: fastboot oem rebootRUU
Your phone screen should go black and show the HTC logo.
Next type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
You should start to see it updating the radio in your command line window. Your phone will show a green progress bar but just ignore it. It will not show its completely finished. The flash shouldn't take too long and once its finished and you are back to the command line prompt type
fastboot reboot
As with everything else, the disclaimer always applies. I've added a MD5 file to check to make sure the firmware zip is good but always check. I made the firmware.zip only containing the radio and it worked for me, but always check the MD5.
