I believe SID/NID is the same between Legacy and NV. Some one correct me if I'm wrong.
On the Legacy site in question, you've identified it still has legacy panels but what about the base stations? If your location is still Florida, that would be Ericsson. Check to see if you can see any new base stations. That would give you an indication progress is underway and hopefully it will be a full build.
Pics would help too
This site in Kansas is a full build but RRUs mounted on ground because of the water tower. If your Legacy site could not support the RRUs up by the panels, it would look something like this:

I've always asked Sprint Chat for MSLs and they always give them to me. I don't directly say MSL but if you say "I need the ##xxxxxx# dialer code for line XXXX" they have always given that to me.
-
Except I'm in Denver right now. Forgot to mention that lol.

Ahhh... well that would probably be your issue.

I've been having trouble trying to connect my Nexus 5 to LTE. I live near a LTE site and the only way I can make it connect to LTE is if I update PRL and switch network mode to LTE Only. Help would be appreciated Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Sounds like eCSFB issues. San Bernardino is Incumbent market so you shouldn't be having issues. Is this site you are having issues with the only site giving you problems.?

Dang, I still haven't gotten any updates. Still on 4.4.
Just ADB sideload the 4.4.2 update
- 2
-
The original 4.4 > 4.4.1 update was not pulled, maybe from Sprint side if they had it up but not from Google. You can still download it from Google:
-
If you are not already unlocked, do that first -- then do the 4.4.1 update, then flash the 16M radio. There is no disadvantage to unlocking that I am aware of.
-Mike
Got it. Thanks!
-
If you're already unlocked, this update will not re-lock your phone. For specifics about loading the update manually, there are several lengthy threads on XDA; this one has it spelled out nicely in the first post with links to further explanations if needed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2523217
-Mike
Thanks for link. I will have to unlock regardless to flash back the KRT16M radio though right?
-
just fyi, fastboot oem unlock will wipe your entire phone, data and storage.
Yes, thank you. I figured that would probably be the case. Did that a couple of times with HTCdev
-
Having dealt with HTC my last couple of devices, I need to learn the process for updating firmware etc on the Nexus 5. For right now I would like to keep the stock ROM but basically for my scenario would be:
1. Sideload the 4.4.1 update
2. Unlock (fastboot oem unlock)
3. Flash only the radio (fastboot flash radio filename.img)
If anybody wants to outline their process of flashing the KRT16M radio, I would greatly appreciate it.
-
With the HTC One (with S-OFF), you could just package up a firmware.zip containing a previous or newer radio and flash through fastboot. I wonder if the process is similar with the Nexus 5?
-
Well that sucks about the LTE connectivity with the update. Google must have consulted with HTC radio devs.

I would not count on that. My order from Sprint Worldwide still has not been fulfilled after nearly a month. Sprint has little interest in supply SIMs for off contract devices, and I can understand that.
It is a Wireless Lifestyle location, and I practically guarantee that it clearly says so on the front door. I am surprised that you were not aware of that. Even Lawrence does not have a corporate Sprint store. Only VZW and AT&T have corporate stores in town. All others are authorized third parties.
AJ
I don't try to frequent it much because the help is poor and I usually hear the manager's excuse to other customers getting help in there is "They are working on the towers". It probably does have it on the door, i just didn't notice. To me it doesn't make sense to not have SIMs available even at 3rd party stores.
And that sucks about the SIM from WorldWide. When you ordered yours did they say 3-5 days?
Somebody should rename Sprint WorldWide to Prestige WorldWide.
-
I got a SIM heading my way after talking to the worldwide chat. I guess the Sprint store in my town is by wireless lifestyle. I would have to travel a hour away to get to a corporate one so I wasn't going to do that just for a SIM. Thanks everybody for the suggestions on this. Turns out I get my Nexus 5 tomorrow so I'm pumped.

I don't get it. Why other carriers are giving free SIMs like hot candy and Sprint is getting stingy about it ?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Well when you got CS not knowing what a SIM is or saying Sprint doesn't use SIMs it probably would be hard to offer them.
-
You need to go to or call a ready now repair store.
The one store in my town is listed as a repair store. I've already tried them and they said they couldn't help me.
Edit- got the link for the worldwide chat help and got one ordered.

Well this is getting old. Visited local sprint store and they say they don't have them. I'm not sure if the guy I was talking to even knew what a SIM was. Just called another store 45 min away and the guy said Sprint does not use SIM cards and that I can't activate my Nexus 5 because Sprint won't recognize the serial number.
I tried chat again and was referred to a number I am going to try here in a bit.
-
Have any of you checked your local sprint store for the sim? I know my personal store stocks the sim needed for the phone to work. I had a customer come in with an N5 looking to get it activated and the sim we used worked just fine.
I haven't had a chance to get out to my local store yet but going to go out there over my lunch hour today.
-
Ordered Nov. 30th. Just got shipping notification today. Hopefully should have it by the end of the week.
I tried chatting with Sprint to get a SIM but they said I need to go to a Sprint store to get a SIM. I thought a couple of people in this thread got SIMs via Sprint chat?

Band 41 right outside of Baltimore. Nexus 5 in normal LTE/CDMA mode 57mbps down

Were you able to hold on to the connection pretty well when moving around or going in to buildings? I would be curious to see if the Nexus 5 is also an RF beast with Band 41 like it is with 25.

Just got through dealing with a serious bootloop over last 2 hours. I took my n5 off the charger after it was fully charged and it immediately went in to a bootloap.
This is a link of someone else with the same issue, keep in mind the video is not in english but at least you can see what is happening.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/czpmuj8pgy1budn/VID_20131126_085704.mp4
I ended up getting it to boot back up by constantly pressing the power botton before it could bootloop again, that seemed to work.
Weird. Hopefully it was just an isolated issue. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks Mike. Went ahead and did the switch. Only WhatsApp is acting up, but I can deal with it for an increase in battery life.
Also, I'm not missing HTC Sense nearly as much as I thought I would. If anyone is on the fence about this phone just save yourself the time and go ahead and buy it. No regrets here.
No ragrets. Thats my credo. hahaha
I have had HTC devices since the Touch Pro 2 and used the Sense UI since the Evo4G. I'm pretty excited for my Nexus 5 and I'm sure I will have the same outlook as you did

Just ordered my 32GB Nexus 5!!
While I'm waiting, what is everybody's preference on visual voicemail and 3rd party texting app? I'm going to dig back through this thread and do a little bit of research but if anybody has suggestions let me know.
Now I need to pick up a SIM for it as well.

Dang it. The wireless nerd in me was freaking out when I saw it and then the wife nagging at me trying to get me out of the store hahaha.
