  1. Well, I just had it happen again twice. According to signalcheck I was on the first carrier on band 41. Here were the screen shots - Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  2. Based on how bad your data sounds it is probably a combination device and network issue. I have seen my device lose data when it tries to connect to the second carrier on band 41, after that it fairly quickly recovers to evdo. It's possible that the m8 my wife and I have recover from the error a bit more gracefully then the 6s, and my phone doesn't hop back up to lte as fast as the 6s. I also haven't seen the second carrier in some time so I am not experiencing the problem. I'm having a hard time trying to think of a way to tell this to someone without getting technical and going over the head of whoever I am talking to. Vince, can you PM me your case number or whatever identifying information you have? Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  3. I think Vince was talking with someone. I got to him him credit for being the first one to track down what the issue was. That said, I'm sure someone in the know has an idea of the problem. It was pretty wide spread and made streaming video or audio very tough. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  4. I think our consesis was we were having issues with the second carrier on band 41. It started suddenly. I have personally noticed my phone connecting much less to the second carrier recently and the problem has almost entirely gone away. It did not affect evdo or other bands for me. 5. New promotion everyone! Unlimited Data free of charge as long as you only visit these 10 sites! 10$ per kb outside of this. Go ahead and laugh at that but it isn't that far of a jump. It doesn't matter what carrier /isp is doing it. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  6. What kind of comparison are you looking for? We can all cherry pick speeds from all carriers. Sprint works well enough that I never have to run speed tests anymore because it just works. If the signal is dead it's because we are in an old concrete building (schools built in the 60s) where no carrier works, and shouldn't be expected to work. T-Mobile has some issues penetrating deep into buildings, but that is entirely dependant on an individuals location and if you never go into buildings built in the 60s you may not notice. 7. Tried it briefly on my Nexus 5 and it seems like what lollipop should have been. I wasn't very excited about the announced features in Marshmallow so hopefully under the hood is much better. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah you are definitely right, although if it's a congested cell won't the network or your device kick you off b26 in marginal areas so from the user perspective it's the same? Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  9. I was wondering if additional load on the towers was causing some sort of cell breathing. The bigger the load on a cell the more fringe areas will be without coverage.
  10. Have these holes been there since day 1 or have they only recently developed? Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  11. Everything works for me as well. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah, same here in Lake in the Hills. Wifi calling works. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  13. I wasn't trying to single out a company Sprint or otherwise. Pretty much all of them were guilty of calling 3g technologies 4g. I remember the WSJ calling out AT&T (one of the late ones to 4g marketing party) because one night they rolled out nationwide 4g by renaming their current footprint of hspa+ to 4g. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  14. 5g will be rolled out as fast as 4g was. It will move at the speed of press releases from marketing departments. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  15. Worked for me today at least. Did it just start? Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  16. If you download the Google factory images there is a flashall.bat file. run that and it will run the fastboot commands for you. Be aware though, it wipes your data unless you remove the -w from the last command.
  17. Does the USB cable work in fastboot? If it does try and reflash the factory image... It could also be the charging port unfortunately.
  18. I doubt this new plan will be sticking around for long. I really hope all the bad press has given them second thoughts. I had wondered if they want people off unlimited data how they would go about doing it, either entice people off by giving rewards and price cuts, or if they would make them want to leave the plan by making it horrid... Although it doesn't effect existing plans this is a step in the wrong direction. I was really hoping they would do something innovative with pricing for their next plans...
  19. Good lord people! I would admit I don't follow rootmetrics reports all that much, but they post what looks to me like a practical 4 way tie for first, Sprint is listed as third, and suddenly everything is horrible around here. Are suddenly T-Mobile people jumping off bridges?
  20. It has been working Ok for me as far as I can tell. Do you see the HD symbol when in a call when it doesn't work?
  21. Strange. I just tried it and it worked. It wouldn't surprise me though if the wifi calling service is quite busy now. Edit: missed your most recent post. My bad.
  22. Wifi calling does work, but if the other party is on sprint obviously they need to be on it as well.
  23. Yeah, sorry about that. I won't let it happen again.
  24. Yeah, it's out area wide. http://abc7chicago.com/news/sprint-outage-affecting-chicago-surrounding-suburbs/573226/
  25. Thanks for the reply. Yeah, they did that at the start of NV 1.0 in the Chicago market. Some of those sites sat finished but not activated for a long time. (Dekalb I believe was a year and a half or so). That was very unusual even with the issues they were having with work execution early on in NV 1.0. I was just wondering as 1.0 rolled on if they were quicker at lighting up the MW links. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
