Some things are just wrong with Sprint. People with the Sprint model have seen B25+26 CA yet the unlocked model can't access it. No option in the debug menu. Only Sprint does that. 25-25+26 would make way more since then just one B25. I've seen the others do 3 laa tdd carriers with one or even two FDD carriers. I've seen as high as 5xca on Att. On TMO,vzw and att carrier locked and unlocked models all get the same CA combos

Will the HTC 5G work on B41 only? Is "5G" service required for the thing to work at all?

You might want to look over my posts in the last month or 2...I've had to deal with the exact same thing. Chances are, you're in the same type of area that I am in...where they allowed MB to work, then discovered they didn't have the proper licensing for it to operate. I'd be ready to get some return boxes ...they are probably gonna want you to send the MB units back.
I just got the S1000 femtocell yesterday...I vowed after the Airvana 2.5 that I wouldn't have another femtocell (charged for data from ISP, just to use that same data on my phone and get charged again)...but with unlimited it doesn't matter much. I only agreed to use an LTE femtocell because I'm having fiber 100/100 installed in about a month when it becomes available to us. On my old DSL, not an option at 6meg down, 0.5meg up.
Not very happy with that licensing crap...I was under the impression that Sprint had the B41 spectrum by the reigns for the most part. But apparently i'm in one of those areas where they don't.
How do you like your S1000? Would you mind posting a couple photos of it?

Upload CA only matters if your close to the tower. On edge of cell it turns off in favor of HPUE. It's more important only in really dense markets as it currently stands.

That's fine. Would still prefer that my device had the capability.

Couldn’t find anything for the Pixel 1. Looks like it supports 3xDL CA... Likely nothing in UL CA, but others would know better than me.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkMy main concern is Upload CA. Glancing at those links, it looks as if neither device supports it?

Anyone know what the Pixel 1, 2, 3 are capable of?

Most modern devices released 2018 and beyond support it. But who knows where, could be one city/state, county or block for all we know.
Does this mean 41+25 upload? 41+25 download?

Good question. Here is what ours currently says:
15.16.00.663
60.11.63.0
Don't think that is new...

After months and months of our MB only outputting d/l speeds under 30mbps... we are now back up to what it was before. This is the first time with the MB Gold that we have achieved these speeds:
DL Mbps/UL Mbps
73.3 / 7.39
68.0 / 8.08
78.5 / 9.46
Has a new FW been pushed out?

It's all over now but the crying. I had the flu last week...but during that time, I found out from George Schnelbacher via email that I'm in a "bermunda triangle" per se... Inside the outlined area below is where (I'm guessing) B41 can't be broadcast by Sprint due to licensing ...
I"m not understanding this from the license perspective..maybe someone can divulge what the restraints are for this particular area... and why is it off in the middle of bum$$ck Alabama, no where NEAR a major metro area...but splits an area across 2 counties.
Makes absolutely NO sense to me.
Join the club. Not available at my primary address either 😕

that puts you outside the line and wal-mart down the street inside the line?

Samsung markets meaning they're the tower equipment vendor. Newer Samsung phones have UL CA working. But B25-41, B26-41, and B25-26 CA is not supported by Samsung eNBs (towers) yet, even though phones support it. I'm pretty sure it's not on Nokia equipment either.

Any idea when it will be enabled/working in the Samsung market(s)?

i thought CA was on Samsung devices, as well as some others (LG?)

I guess we just have to wait and see when Sprint actually enables those combos.
For the Pixel or for any capable device?

As these combos eventually start to come online I think Samsung will push update to get them turned on.

Hope you're right. How about the Pixels?

the Wal-Mart address comes up as invalid too, right?

I've already rebooted this box (MB Gold) since I got home -- Someone parked in front of it and caused it to drop..so I rebooted ...and it's done came back on from a reboot. So...it seems as though the location data is dependent on which version of the MB that you have. (Also noted, the display on the MB Gold looks different -- so it obviously has taken a firmware update).
Try a factory data reset. Fingers crossed!

SO....I brought the MG Gold home, hooked it up...and VOILA!!! It's working right this minute!
This is the same MB Gold that I took to Sylacauga Walmart and connected up!!! Works FINE!
I dunno..something is up..
If you reboot or factory data reset, I bet it goes back to non-working!?!?!

I could understand that if I was closer...but I live 2 counties away from Birmingham (Jefferson)...I'm in Talladega county...the southwest corner of it. I emailed back to Sprint and told them that I couldn't understand why it's been fine for nearly 2 years, and suddenly this sector of the tower can't allow MB...but the western-facing sector can.
I bet the new firmware was pushed out to your units. Upon bootup they didn't pass the address verification part.
Does any of the addresses of your MB's pass the address verification test?
https://www.sprint.com/landings/magic-box-eligibility/index.html
If not, take a unit to a location that DOES pass the test and let it boot up. Then take it back. Will probably work but not permanently 😕

Any performance improvement?

Haven't seen VoLTE around here yet...I'm headed to Centerpoint, Birmingham today so I'm thinking I"ll take my inverter and MB..just to see if it's the entire Bham area. I'm placing my bets on yes. I'll check for VOLTE also..
I am seeing some B41 now and then...
I noticed in Sylacauga when I was trying to use my inverter + magic box on Sunday that I could cycle airplane mode, and I'd hit B41...but the speeds were ATROCIOUS..like 2mbps down, 0.5mbps up...then, phone jumped to b25 2ca and speeds went immediately to 30mbps down, 17mbps up..
This was all within the same parking lot. So ...something is happening.. I hope that b41 stays hidden until it's WAY better than it is now.
Good luck. Post your results...

I know they are rolling out VOLTE on a market by market basis. Do you know if it's live already?
