Sony disagrees ???? http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/News/Press/201409/14-080E/Do me a favor. Google Sony Flagship phone and tell me what pops up. And don't post the Verge article again. ????
Sony describes them as flagships.
I understand your perception of it. But Sony has never separated the devices. They are both flagship in their eyes. That is how they were launched at IFA, that is how they sell them on their site. It is only a US perception that they are not on level footing. Elsewhere that they are sold they are generally shown on the same level. At least that has been my perception.

I guess so. Sony made the Z3 compact to be the same phone for people that like smaller devices. You're totally missing what I'm saying.

They also have the same features. Same processor, same GPU, same camera, same waterproofing...Even so, take into account the name sake. As well as premium features.
The only differences are screen resolution (pretty insignificant given the screen size difference) and the compact "only" has 2 gigs of RAM.

The compact was released simultaneously with the Z3.The phone the manufacturer releases as their top presser for the year. If the compact was determined by them to be their flagship it wouldn't be called the Z3 Compact, it would be called the Z4 and it wouldn't have been released after the Z3.
Look at every manufacture's Flagship phone. It always releases first and leads with a new name sake, not Mini, Sport, Maxx, Compact, Plus/+ or E8.

The specs are roughly the same? What is the definition of "flagship"? The Z3 compact pretty much fits the bill. That's the Verge's opinion. Which I don't disagree with the compact maybe being a better suite but Sony doesn't consider the compact their flagship.

Changing the band priority does not effect "sticking" of a band. It only dictates in what order the bands are scanned. The network will put you on whatever band it wants regardless of what you set the priority to.Is there a way to set band priority like on the nexus 5? Band 41 doesn't like to stick in the same area that my nexus 5 would stick and have good speeds

Verifying a hotspot address is comical.Yes. I just tried it. Worked both sending and receiving, no issues. The only thing that's wonky is you must verify the physical address for E911 every time you use a new WiFi. And if the address can't be validated exactly, it no workee. Which I had to verify the address just now at Five Guys because I was using my AT&T Hotspot.

Would this show additional carriers for the same band like a second band 25 carrier?Neighboring cells are other sectors visible to your device. They may be different sectors from the same site, or from adjacent sites. But these are basically all the channels on the same band that your device can switch to as needed. Your device can switch to these at any time. However, a band change would require the network to make the requested change.

My Best Buy has all four models available. Sprint postpaid, Sprint prepaid, Boost, and Virgin.Anyone buying a Sharp Aquos Crystal needs to be careful. If you buy a Prepaid model, no matter from whom, it is not usable on a Sprint postpaid account. They are not whitelisted to be used on Sprint. I had to buy mine directly from Sprint and select a postpaid plan to get mine.
It's likely that the Best Buy version at $280 is a postpaid Sprint model, but be careful. As Best Buy has sold Virgin Mobile stuff in the past. And the Virgin Aquos Crystal cannot be activated on a Sprint postpaid account.

All indications are that it will be the same model sold through the Play Store as sold through Sprint. The phone should be identical. The Nexus 5 was the same regardless of place of purchase. This may sound like a stupid question, but... Do you get HD voice on the Nexus 6 only on the version you buy from Sprint or will it be available on the Nexus 6 if purchased from Google as well. That probably wouldn't be possible would it?

Pre-orders do not guarantee launch day devices. They guarantee a device as stock becomes available. A retailer can not give you something that the manufacturer has not given to them. Ask iPhone users how that works. Obviously demand is greater than supply. Yes, it sucks, but this is nothing new.

My particular store got very limited supply. We had a few pre-orders that could not be filled today.

Can anyone with a subsidized plan that is "upgrade eligible" verify something? It looks like the Aquos can't be sold at a subsidized price. It seems to just be a flat 239.99.
But I'm also not upgrade eligible, so I'm not sure if the site is just blocking me out from seeing the 2-yr agreement price.

I just noticed it said CDMA in the specs. Pretty sure it didn't say that yesterday. I don't see anywhere where it says Sprint pre-order for the Nexus 9.http://www.google.com/nexus/9/
Shows Sprint on the pre-order section. Now if only they showed what bands they use...

The device has to be activated in store. Not sure what you mean by lengthy. This is my first time buying from a local retailer. Does Best Buy require a lengthy setup/activation in the store or do they just hand you the box and walk you to a check out register?

Anyone else kind of disappointed with Sprint's phone lineup 2h 2014?
