Agree, subscriber gains or losses will correlate highly with how their network performs, as it always is for the telecom industry. We should see more cap ex spending this quarter. They only spent .5 B in the last quarter. As for the debt load, I think once they get past December, which is when 3 Billion is due i think, it will help out with the interest expense. They should look into refinance those upcoming maturities since their bond rates have come down to earth. This would also help with interest expense.

I will see this going higher, will drop a few percentages short term, but there's no catalyst for going lower, at least not yet. They will get another pop when Sprint announces the roll out 3xCA.

lol, of course, at the time he bought the stock to show his commitment to Sprint. If Sprint is doing well, he is lined up to get up to 100 million I believe. His salary was restructured after he was paid 21 million to take the helm at Sprint so that he gets a crap load in bonuses if Sprint is doing well, and gets very little if Sprint is not.

I think people need a reminder once in a while to check into reality. I gave up commenting on FW a while back because many of the comments tend to me pure dumbshit, no substance just twisting words and bashing Sprint because they know how to type. Funny thing is, someone started using my name and began to bash Sprint. I don't understand many of those fanatics. It's not just sports. It's like a member of their family is assaulted when anything about Sprint is mentioned. It's weird. I like underdogs, but I was never a fan of Legere and Tmo fans didn't make it easier for me to like Tmo.

You hit the nail on its head with the fact that many are sour on Sprint because they were expecting Softbank to start pouring in Billions after the recent assets sale. It was a foolish thought from the beginning. It makes no sense for Softbank to pour money into Sprint when it doesn't need it. Softbank has already set up financing vehicles for Sprint. 1st quarter earnings is only one week away. Everyone knows it will be positive, the question is how large of a positive. I expect 100-300 in positive net income on revenue of 8.0 to 8.2 Billion. 200 net phone adds.

Marcelo put in 25 mil when it was at 5 dollars. Looks like he is starting to reap the profits.

This is the luxury of being the leader of the pack. Noone rarely questions what are you up to, as long as your network is rated above everyone else. Sprint does not have the luxury to stay quiet. Sprint has to let everyone know what they are doing for people to be comfortable with any progress being made. If they don't announce any plans, people will write them off. Heck, people wrote off Sprint's plan even as they are announced. Anyways, the fact is Sprint has improved dramatically since 2014 is a testament of how far they have come.

600 MHz auction results posted and transition schedule
Hmight replied to ericdabbs's topic in General Topics
LOL, Tmo and T will look to spend the most. Even if you count VZ in the mix, the expected amount is no where near the 86B mark. Unless someone besides the carriers are bold enough to spend a crap load more (aka. Dish, but Dish does not have another 13B to throw into this auction), this auction will drag into 2017 and beyond. This would mean the spectrum won't be used for another 39 months after the auction has ended. -
Interesting to see how much coverage will be improved for Orlando after the retuning starting in July.

Drove from south florida disney world. Saw all lte, on b41 until indian river county, with b25 and b26 in areas where it was 3G before. Definitely something was done in the last couple months. Signal never got above 110 db. Epcot was great. Had b41 outdoor, b25 or b26 indoor. I was inside the japan area of Epcot, ran speedtest and got 23 down and 8 up on b25. Data was great. I was able to check for wait times and switch rides with my fastpass the whole day.

Sprint "Open World" plan (replaces International Value Roaming)
Hmight replied to lilotimz's topic in General Topics
Sprint Open Worldâ„ Unlimited talk & text when you're traveling in Canada, Mexico, and most other countries across Latin America. Best of all, it's FREE! Not sure where you get it's limited to Latin America. -
You should browse back a couple pages. People have been reporting speed of 100+ in NYC. Only 2xCA is capable of speed greater than 80 mbs.

600 MHz auction results posted and transition schedule
Hmight replied to ericdabbs's topic in General Topics
This is wrong. It should say 110 Billion dollars of Debt, including Sprint's 34 billion. Not on top. Softbank financials are consolidated. -
I was there last weekend. I was able to pull 96 down and 15 up close to mason and jefferson intersection on Saturday. I have never had any issues with data in Milwaukee, or the West suburbs (wauwau, waukesha, pewaukee, brookfield, etc...) Tmo is limited with spectrum and will continue to be limited with spectrum even after the 600mhz spectrum auction. Sprint is already reliable and data is more than usable. They just need to get small cells installed and have 3xCA to beat out all the carriers. Tmo will not be able to touch Sprint in a year or so. What Tmo will have to do is continue to give away stuff to attract customers.

Great explanation. Thank you, you and tongboy.

Anything holding them back? Hardware issues?

Has b25 received 10mhz CA or is it still 2 5mhz?
