Has anyone from Sprint explained how they're going to keep their costs down from the all the small cells they're going to need to deploy to seamlessly cover an area with B41? When will these small cells be installed? Has there been an update on the timeline for completing all the areas that are still at 70, 80 90% LTE deployment? When will most areas have the 2nd carrier deployed for B41? The 3rd carrier? When is Sprint going to take a giant step in the right direction in solving their poor public perception and get every single airport serving cities over 100,000 people covered with every bit of LTE that it can? If you want to invest in Sprint your timeline for your ROI needs to take these things into account. And then you look at the time between now and you expect the biggest improvements will be and ask yourself: Is right now, when the market is near all time highs, the right time to buy sprint?

I'm not surprised there is some band 41. And it does seem like Port Charlotte, Cape Coral, Naples... etc, all the areas around Ft Myers, get the upgrades soonest. But I could rarely hang on to a 4G signal. If it is that bad with B25 then B41 is going to be worse. Not sure how much B26 they have there, but whatever they have I'm sure it is overloaded.

Band 41 availability
greencat replied to newgroundsguru's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
Good question. How many sites do they have? Like 48,000 b41 sites including clearwire right? I'd be surprised if they had 20,000 sites with b41 on it right now. -
Is sprint stuck? Looking at the markets many of them are in the 60%, 70%, 80%, for lte and have been for quit a while. It doesnt seem like a lot of progress is being made. Except N'awlins which went to 90%+ lte very quickly. From my casual observations it would seem most these places should have a lot more lte complete by now. It seems like sprint hit abt 80% lte completion across the entire network and then pulled back.

Probably some of the least used towers in the entire Sprint Network. I bet speeds are great.

Service in ft myers is still horrendous. I did however get b26 on ft myer beach. But the speed was not really usable flucuating from .5-1.5 megs. Most of the time im on weak 3g. There are pockets of 4g, but theyre so few and limited that usually you pass through them while traveling. Definitely not Sprints best effort. Years of work ahead to make this tolerable.

Well... it is 2015, it's not complete and won't be this year...

probably why you only get decent signal when you hit the top of the hill coming from the south before the wal-mart.

Wichita does have some terrible dead spots in key areas. Highly doubt that is a priority for Sprint though.

Nope, it was not that site. I am well aware of that site and it doesn't reach that far at all.

I thought previously I had some roaming coverage north of salina but south of concordia that worked as native coverage. It seemed to switch back and forth between native-like roaming and limited roaming. Idk if it was going through tests or if it was my imagination. I just passed through the area.

Good question

They announced NV 1.0 "substantially complete" 9, NINE!!!!!, FREAKING MONTHS AGO.

Make no mistake, it is not just me who has these issues. Tower spacing is a big problem for sprint on the east side. It is entirely possible that all the carriers have the same issues though so it didnt hurt sprint as much relative to the other carriers. Perhaps by the end of the year they'll be #1 in wichita?
