If sprint did shutdown CDMA and, EVDO they would Refarm it for LTE. I dont know what the highest they could go is 20X20 NOT sure tho. I only see Sprint shutting down EVDO down the line.
Sprint will NOT be deploying VOLTE until there is a VOLTE to CDMA fallback. What I mean is if VOLTE signal is to weak the call will drop like it can on Verzion because, it cant fall back to CDMA. Sprint wants it to fall back to CDMA when LTE signal is to weak for phone calls.
In my area band 26 doesnt seem optimized. They have it here but, we hardly see it. When it does connect to it, it doesnt stay on it for very long. usually goes back to band 25,41 or 3G.
I like that idea. The only reason current BLU phones dont work on sprint is due to lack of CDMA support and, lack on sprint LTE bands support. Othewise their phones would work.
10mhz of pcs sounds fair. add it to what sprint has now. would be higher than the 5x5 they have now and, the 10x10 they they look like their adding. Even tho more 10x10 in alot of cities is a long time away.
Yeah. I see your point. However band 41 doesnt have the reach of other LTE bands. Verzion has said they would possible be intresting in band 41 if Sprint ever when that way.
At this point no one knows what will happen with all that spectrum. Sprint might have a hardtime finding a smartphone Manufacturer that will support that much. So it could just be mobile hotspots if sprint would use all 120. Why I would like to see them do it sells 2 band 41 carriers which would still leave them with 80mhz. Sell it and, do a spectrum swap with another carrier in exchange for more 1900 PCS spectrum.
Some places band 41 is overstated. The coverage map shows spark all over Duluth Minnesota, yet I was in that area 3 times this year and, could not get any band 41 at all.
to increase the bandwidth for band 25 doesnt need carrier CA. Sprint has 10x10 on band 25 in a couple of cities ive even heard that chicago might get it. Sprint should do CA where its band25/26. dont see that happening tho.
