Anyone experience this issue this weekend?
Yes. Its still happening for me today. All incoming calls are showing my Google voice number, and its a tad bit annoying. Even if people call my sprint number, it still shows up on my phone as my Google voice number.

At&t is attempting to bluff it seems.

Verizon would love this.

Not conclusive but this may get interesting if true.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2441480

He is just trolling. There is no spark for the Note 3.

Haha yeah it is only on top of a 10 or so story building. I always think signal check is cussing at the high signal haha
I love it when I look up and signalcheck is cursing at me!

Thats the power of a G2! Is there any smartphone with better battery life?
The Galaxy Note 3.

Thanks, I tried clearing both data and cache, but the S Note app still stops running. It's really starting to get annoying now.
Are you rooted? Have you uninstalled any other samsung or system apps?

Just got my Note 3 Dec 31. I'm having an issue with "S Note". Way too frequently, when I try and open the app, I get an error message "Unfortunately S Note has stopped".
Does anyone know what the cause of this is or how to fix it?
Crappy Samsung software. If you clear the data on S note, the force closing should stop. And as for dolphin, I use that browser solely for work, and have never had it crash in the past 3 months.

I think sprint will have 1x on 800 for the next 20+ years. Why (can they even) refarm that 1.25 X 1.25 for LTE? Just keep it up to support older devices, and the coverage boost on CDMA compared to LTE is nothing to shrug off.

So, are ehrpd handoffs working just as well on these new triband phones as they were with SVLTE phones? I just wondered this as my phone went from LTE->ehrpd->LTE while streaming music, and I didn't have to suffer any buffering.

I think I saw this elsewhere, but if you just want to know if Verizon AWS is available, throw your nexus 5 into LTE only mode and scan for carriers. If you see Verizon, then they have AWS there.

Dear Forum Members
I have recently purchased Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Before that I had Note 2.
I have noted that Note 3 suffers from poor received signal level compared to Note 2. Also when I do a throughput test (by using Speedtest application from ookla) i tend to get lower throughput.
I would like to know that if any other forum members have observed the same phenomena.
The baseband version of my Note 3 is: N9005XXUDMJ7
Regards
Compared to a Note 2, my Note 3 is reporting a slightly better signal, and a lot more throughput.

Yeah... I'm not going to use sensorly anymore lol

I have tried every possible combination of LTE priority settings, and as far as I know, most of NYC does not suffer from the eCSFB issue, and again, the HTC One Max, connects flawlessly.
Something that needs to be considered, is that there are current software problems with multiband LTE connectivity on the N5/G2. Hence the reason an update is needed before triband is enabled.

Crap for me as well lol

Apparently not many people want the mega or s4 mini, likely because they are mid range devices. As far as I know, nobody has reported band 41 working on any triband phone yet.
-
ok, How are the up and down speeds?
Not the best place for the mifi discussion, but average of 15 down/7 up on band 25, 30 down/15 up on band 41. Highest speed test I've done (tethered) on B41 was 57 down. Its been speculated before that they are using old clearwire backhaul that hasn't been upgraded.

Does anyone know if the Novatel MiFi 500 Tri-Band is having the same LTE issues in a market that has Both Bands active?
No, it works fine on all towers here in Kansas city, even back when we had tons of 4g only towers. Connects to band 25 and 41 LTE, as well as evdo without any problems.
-
Regardless of that, are there any issues you would warn me on?

Most likely you will fall in love with the size and be unable to move back to a smaller device. I have small hands and I have had no problems with the size. Check out the one handed mode feature if you're concerned about the size. All it takes is a quick gesture to turn it into a 4" display.

I'm starting to realize why Samsung wouldn't have wanted their Note 3 to be triband lol

So you can manually enable B41 and can confirm that you can receive B41 LTE at known B41 LTE tower?
This is what so many of us are waiting for lol

You can see mine above and my Note 2 & S4 get ~104-105
If you are getting -84dbm when the note 2 is pulling -105dbm, then Sprint doesn't need 800mhz LTE in the slightest. Something is definitely wrong with those numbers.

The new update is including google maps again and is much better. For anyone else irritated with the bug (at least I'm assuming its a bug) stating maps are not available at this zoom level, just change the DPI of the app and you will be able to zoom out again. I went with ~110 DPI to see the United States.

Sprint should not have announced this, and just did it behind the scenes. I see no benefit to Sprint for letting customers know this.
The terms and conditions already state they can do this to preserve the network. That should have been enough.
