In Lancaster itself service generally is quite good. There are exceptions of course.

You are correct. Before Softbank. Useful, but evolutionary dead ends.I think they've been around for some time. Before B41 small cells were considered for deployment.

hmmm, a 1900Mhz small cell. Photos would be great (place in another Shentel thread). 800Mhz was a known possibility. Overall B41 still the right way to go given the odds. Might need an override list option. Good find!

On LG V20 removing 1x, donating, show external IP address all seem to work. Shouldn't show external ip address also show IPv6? I will report on logs and other phones later.

I did not go to cheat lake recently. But Morgantown is the whole area.
Has your phone/account been converted since it was nTelos? Perhaps your account settings are messed up. Try a different store in Shentel territory for support.

They might be half right. That would be switching cores where site data and calls are processed, which is typically related to gcis. Normally done as quickly as possible, like one weekend.I did the reset several time no use. I called my local sprint store they said there is a tower moving in Charleston to Virginia. I just do not believe that
I guess because it is not football season no one else is around to verify your LTE status[emoji20]

That was deferred until next release.

Another option is to reprovision your network connection:
Sprint is retuning its networks in areas all across the country. Please make sure you have completed a Carrier Reset to avoid, or resolve, service interruption.
The reset is very simple, and takes no more than a couple of minutes. It will not delete the data (pictures, videos, apps) from your device, it will simply reprovision your network connection. For iOS Devices:
Connect your phone to WiFi if it's available
Tap on the phone's native calling app
Dial ##25327# or ##UPDATE#
Tap the Call button
Tap OK
Wait for the update to complete
Tap OK once it's finished

I live in Morgantown,WV,26505. Since June 30th there is no 4g lte service, only 3g in Morgantown. Does anyone know any information about this?
In an area undergoing a lot of changes, you should start here: https://support.sprint.com/support/tutorial/Update-the-PRL-Preferred-Roaming-List-Apple-iPhone-6-128-GB/WScenario_542_55998_771_en_1389-dvc8320007prd These solve many of the issues in the Shentel / nTelos conversion area according to Shentel people I talked to yesterday.

just curious for more data. If these sectors can be tied to oDAS or 10x10 be it first or second carrier, that would be great!
-
It looks like Rickie connected to 3 different nodes of the oDAS.
GCI PCI
04C2B807 151
04C2B808 152
04C2B809 150
These were all 2nd carrier B25. I can't find anything on what the 1st carrier would look like.
I'm not sure if that's enough to go on yet, I know there are close to 10 different sites that are part of the network.
5x5 as you suspected or 10x10?
-
Three of my phone have SIMs and connect to the network, but have no service associated (two T-Mo, one Verizon). So it's definitely something I've encountered.
- Trip
I know of others who do the same with various carriers.

The likely 1x800 site, based on two 1x800 and one 3g offset sectors is in West Michigan market south of Grayling, MI on I 75 near Little Mud Lake
For more details (premier): http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5107-lte-800-band-26-sites-accepted-discussion/page-172#entry511229 plus a few above that.

you wont believe it guys. this new update allows me to connect to sprint band 4. Seriously though, I suppose there was some stale data somewhere causing confusion.
It should likely say Sprint? B4 if it not band 25, 26, or 41. plmn also dorked. Keeps you on your toes
-
I passed that on.
Tengen31 found the first b26 3x3 (in Two Harbors, MN), so I am certain he will sent diagnostics.

The Nokia Mini Macros are smaller than the Airspan Air Harmony 1000 and 4000s. The Mini Macros are believed to be fiber fed and do have CA. We have only seen the Air Harmonies using Band 41 for backhaul and transmitting on another B41 single carrier.Sprint tends to get the most goodies because the S4GRU crowd gives me the most information. I'm more than happy to add anything I can, but I need to know where to find the info. Feel free to let me know if you have anything for whoever your current provider is!
I had never heard of Patreon, that's interesting. But that highlights one of my biggest concerns.. I already feel that I have an obligation to continue improving the app indefinitely because so many people have purchased it. Establishing a voluntary fee structure or soliciting donations increases my anxiety/guilt when I don't have enough time to get timely updates out. I understand where you are all coming from but I get more angry e-mails than you would expect from people expecting instant 24/7/365 personalized support and daily app updates because I got $1.39 from them three years ago.
imex99, you get me that Airave 3 and I'll buy YOU a beer..
Could a Mini-Macro fit in the enclosures you believe are small cells? The GCI you shared matches the MM pattern that has been identified, which is why SCP handles it that way. But that doesn't necessarily mean something hasn't changed. Things are constantly evolving.

dkyeager what do you do when the Clearwire GCI and Sprint GCI overlap? There is at least one place where 017 is used by both(Hartford CT). Clearwire 00A and 00B are right up against each other Clearwire 016 maybe nearby then your "geographic boxes" would be broken. To build a "geographic box" you would have to know where to build them. How long would that take to build the database for Clearwire?
The geographic box for the twin cities would be lie between 45.4 and 44.6 latitude and -92.8 and -93.6 longitude. Theses boxes do not need to be that exact. If 02A was found inside this box it would be Clearwire, elsewhere it would be Sprint. I would just use this for Boost, likely Virgin, and other Sprint MVNOs such as freedompop. There may be better solutions. You could allow these users to define what GCI markets are Clearwire like LTE Discovery, as it is unlikely that most users would transverse the county. The very few places with both would just have to settle for LTE where the GCI sector or earfcn could not distinguish the band. There are always some inaccuracies. So it can be done much better than today.
Where this should rank in terms of priorities is a totally different issue. We are always constrained by limited time and resources. Other to-do items likely have greater benefit.

Does Boost Mobile show 310120 yet? If not the only thing mike can do is remove "Boost Mobile B25" to just "Boost Mobile". Would removing B25 be preferred?
I can think of other options http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3060-signalcheck-android-app-to-monitor-your-2g3g4g-lte-signal-strengths/page-209#entry510970 You could also convert the plmn to Sprint's or pretend you do not have it. A setting might be needed for other Sprint Networks. Note that this is an even market Clearwire GCI as well.
-
You see the same type of plmn flattening with freedompop in former nTelos areas, which is reported as Sprint which then conflicts with NE Sprint GCI. Likely need to put these special GCI areas with different base plmns in geographic boxes to be converted back to typical plmn.
Of course what is the real plmn? Neither Boost or Freedompop maintain the network so they likely don't care / used for billing purposes.
Then you have the issue that for regular Sprint users as mismatched plmn is a sign of questionable data, so converting the plmn for them is likely a bad choice.

Here is a screenshot showing some of the key changes for Sprint customers (highlighted):
1) LTE will now display the correct band. There is a lot more Band 41 out there than people thought.
2) MM is for Mini Macro, which has allowed Sprint to greatly expand Band 41 coverage due to far lower costs
3) On most Android 7.x devices you can see the earfcn and frequency midpoint without being rooted (some Samsung devices are not compliant).
4) On Android 7.x phones you can also see the earfcn for neighbors, which can sometimes help to find small cells.
Airspan Air Harmony smalls are also indentified (SC) along with Magic Boxes (MB) and Triband Antennas (TB).
