I'm getting n38 and occasionally n7 with my S21U (on the May 2022 security patch and latest SCP). Sent at least one diagnostic log your way, @mikejeep. @RAvirani, would you like me to send you a list of gNBs to fix? It looks like I mapped 15-20 between NYC and Rochester.

Also, I'm still seeing SCP map T-Mobile's SA NR (primary SIM) to AT&T (secondary SIM) on my S21. In-app, SCP seems to recognize the two networks as being separate. So I'm not really sure how I can replicate this to send a diagnostic log.

Not sure if there is a easy way for you to mass-delete all these on the map, @RAvirani.

To be more clear I should have stated I have the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra factory unlocked 512GB version for North America with its firmware.

Just barely over the NYC border in Valley Stream LI a T-Mobile tower that once has T-Mobile up top, MetroPCS in the middle, and Clearwire converted to Sprint below has recently has the Sprint equipment removed. Yet for some reason the Metro equipment remains in place. Sorry about the bad night shot.

Sometimes the tower management firm wants the old equipment left in place.  Reportedly makes it easier to get future tenants through zoning approval (upgrade rather than new). Sometimes the mounts are reused. This is at least what several managers of Crown Castle and American Tower have told me.  I have a naked monopole tower near me. It is a strange sight.

  3. Likely true, but then various carrier's 3g shutdowns were supposed to occur since 2019.  AT&T was still alive when I last checked a few weeks ago.  The real benefit for T-Mobile occurs when they shut down the Sprint network including LTE, currently set for June 30. Iirc T-Mobile has been telling financial analysts this shutdown will occur this summer.

  4. The Samsung A32 5g factory unlocked is not affected by n7 likely since it has not been upgraded to Android 12 yet.

1x800 is still alive. My LG G2s (and G4 and v20) with Android 5 etc do see this upgrade. Would be good if you could filter out these type of devices if easily done until 1x800 dies with all carriers world wide.

Swipe refresh worked on samsung a10e, Moto g7 power, T-Mobile Revvl.

I was able to figure this out by looking at your diagnostic reports -- you're seeing n7 because your Galaxy A32 is reporting it natively as n7.. Samsung will have to fix that on their end unfortunately. Do the engineering screens report it correctly? I have an A32 test device but I have not seen it connect to n41 (or "n7") yet. If I do, I'll try to troubleshoot and nag Samsung.

EDIT: After I installed the new Android 12 update, I'm now seeing the n7 bug too -- I will reach out to Samsung. They were very responsive when I reported some related glitches with the initial A32 software.

Thanks. Yes the engineering screen shows n41.

The S21 ultra works fine. Removed typo "not".

  6. n7 still appearing with latest version on samsung galaxy a32 5g with android 12. Swipe feature works. Log sent.

Samsung s21 ultra does show solid n41 connection on T-Mobile through Boost Mobile.

Note: fixed typo by removing "not".

At about 5:02 PM today (literally moments ago), another batch of Sprint sites seem to have been turned off in Houston. My house is no longer covered by any Sprint LTE coverage and I have no signal anywhere. I guess it's time to turn on the T-Mobile bands 😢.

Goodbye B26, even though you spent most of your life as a congested band, it has still been a pleasure.

Still have B26 in Columbus, OH, but only seeing one neighbor.  Might be down to just a handful in this metro.

Yeah, it's not enabled.  But I think the phone supports it, after a software update.

Correct, both n77 and n78 enabled on unlocked version, T-Mobile MVNO sims support both.

Dish will be starting a new brand for 5g. Unmentioned is how they will get their Boost Mobile customers ultimately to move over. Perhaps fearing scale issues or is this a recognition that they have put these customer through too much already?  Maybe they want to cleanup their independent dealer network, many of whom have been clueless/unsupported during prior sim/carrier changes?

I was hoping for a highly intelligent roaming arrangement to seamlessly add capacity where and when needed to their 5g network by selecting the best available other network through AT&T or T-Mobile while also factoring in cost much like what TracFone had promised before being gobbled up by Verizon..  Maybe I am just getting too far ahead.

Ergen was quoted as saying they don't have phones with n70 yet, so apparently, well, they don't have phones with n70 yet.

So it's not even a deal of "oh this one phone supports n70"...it doesn't. So anything that supports n71, n66, and 3CA should be allowed onto the network, even if it's just via a SIM kit.

    https://www.fiercewireless.com/5g/dish-explains-costly-phone-choice-its-new-5g-network

Definitely leaning your way.  When they only have one or two phones to test, you wonder why the delay?

I had not seen that quote. Was hoping the phone might have special firmware that enabled n70. Moto models xt2213 and xt2215 cleared FCC with that support two months ago thus likely available around this time. Perhaps announced on Tuesday meeting for investors.

Apparently the initial rollout is only on n71 and n66; the Edge+ phones they're handing out don't even support n70.

Not certain about that. Would love to know the model varient/ fccid of what they will be handing out.  press does such a horrible job reporting on bands supported.

Agree on the s22. The modem can be more easily reprogrammed.

With latest SCP plus Android 12 update to Samsung Galaxy A32 5G (includes 5GUC in status bar), SCP is reporting band nr7 (FDD 2600) plus for status bar and neighbors.  *#0011# reports it as n41, same as cellmapper. Coming in at -116 rsrp. B2 is at -126 rsrp. Not getting good speedtests when this happens, so could be a failed connection.

Also occurring in strong signal area. Diagnostics sent. Connection pulled 250/7.

    Mike,

I saw a video taken last night of someone drive testing the Dish Wireless network and at one point they pulled up SCP.  When they did, the accent line appeared to be in the magenta color of T-Mobile.  Not sure what color to suggest but if it's native Dish and my vision caught it correctly, it seems like it should have its own color.

    https://imgur.com/a/kOZmBuL

EDIT:  Found another frame where it appears there was no accent.  Huh.

I analyzed some of the early cellmapper finds of Dish in Las Vegas and found some were likely using Boost Mobile T- Mobile sims and not the more recent Boost Mobile AT&T sims.

With a regular T-Mobile sim you can easily see other plmns operating in your area.  I have not seen 313 340 yet.

DISH Wireless Selects Samsung Electronics for 5G Open Radio Access Network Rollout

    https://ir.dish.com/news-releases/news-release-details/dish-wireless-selects-samsung-electronics-5g-open-radio-access

Seems a little late for these type of announcements, at least for the 3 frequencies currently being used and their implimentation.  Of course this may be for the next phase of using all their frequencies: "The Samsung radios will also support all of DISH's Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) and Time Division Duplex (TDD) spectrum bands (including n71, n29, n66, n70, n48 and n77)."

So because my phone is reporting 80MHz n41 with 2 carriers and NSA, what that's telling me is that T-Mobile is aggregating Band 2+66+n41+n71. It's too bad T-Mobile hasn't increased backhaul to take advantage of that amount of spectrum.

Your test showed 5:30pm, prime time.  How does it differ at 4:30am or what ever time has the fewest users? (NYC never sleeps goes a very old song).
